Chapter 16 Epilogue

Kiyohime Hotel.

Two strong men caught Natsuki by her arms; she tried to escape with a fight, but had any chance against them. She was too weak…even though she was fight like a tigress. Biting, scratching her opponents. Just front of her, there was Miss Maria, she glared at her.

"I already warn you, I don't want to see you in my hotel; I don't accept garbage."

"Please, I'm begging you; I need to talk with Shizuru. I will do everything! Everything!"

"Why? Aren't you the one who broke twice my granddaughter heart? And you believe I will let you continue again and again? There is no way that will happen again, only over my dead body." In tears, Kuga curbed her weakness. She had no right to cry. No after what she had done to her best friend. She had to accept all the reproaches. It was her fault. Not caring about her pride. Natsuki kneeled front of Miss Maria who stayed impassive.

"I…I was wrong…I can't even ask forgiveness because I don't deserve it…I will bear my mistakes every day in my life…but she need to know something important. I know I'm a bad person…I hate myself for all I have done…I just want remove that burden to Shizuru. I'm willing to do everything." Her whisper was low and painful…but her words didn't pass unnoticed. Nevertheless, that wasn't enough. Empty promises were insufficient.

Miss Maria simply shrugged, she signified her employees to throw away outside the intruder. Natsuki wanted to enter but the security don't let her that opportunity.

"Miss Maria I won't give up! Never! I will prove to you and Shizuru I'm serious about that matter, she's my most precious person in this world. I will wait I have a lot of time." The old woman just went to her office, contrary to that young person, she didn't have time to waste; she always hated the emerald eyed person. She was the reason Shizuru was so hurt, she's taking some medicines to forget her life.

It was already midnight, Miss Maria wanted to see her granddaughter, she wasn't a good grandmother during this past years. When there was that horrible story with Ahn and Shizuru, she tried to hide the truth. She didn't imagine their relationship, because of that, her only daughter was in mental care. Shizuru's mother only wanted to protect her only child, and when she saw Ahn abusing her, she tried to kill Ahn and she almost did it. Shizuru attempted to stop her mother, and there is a lot of blood, Shizuru's blood when she hurt head bumping against a cabinet. Miss Maria watched with tearing eyes her window to see the city. But her vision was trouble with what she saw down, on the street. Kuga was still kneeling front of hotel. She sighed; her stubbornness will only make hurt herself.

-Next morning-

Miss Maria was inspecting the bedrooms, and one of her employer spoke to her an unfortunate case. Natsuki stayed all night and morning front of the hotel. Passers-by and customers were concerned about this young woman, and her place, that was not a good reputation for business.

"What a stupid brat." Miss Maria muttered when she saw that miserable picture. The blunette didn't move only with shiver, she was kneeling on the floor.

"I will tell you where is she within a month." Kuga exhausted and chilled, could only lift her eyes up, she noticed Shizuru's grandmother presence.

Surprise, she could only ask:

"What?"

"I will tell you where is Shizuru, but only in one month."

"What? But that too l-"

"No but, if you really want to see her, you have to let her alone this time. There is no other chance, take it or leave now. I won't give you another chance." The grey-haired woman went away, while Kuga was crying with relief.

-One month later-

Natsuki was front of a little house, she was like dying…she didn't know what to do. That was probably a bad idea to come. And if Shizuru didn't want to see her? She could understand the reason…but…she hoped to really talk with her.

Coughing nervously, she knocked the door. And she prayed that she don't puke on the floor. What a bad impression that will make. And the moment finally happen, the door opened, her angel appeared…tired, emaciated and especially speechless.

"Na…Natsuki…What are you doing here…"

"I want to talk to you…"

"In China? How did you know I was here?" The chestnut-haired beauty spat angrily. The bluenette winced to the cold tone.

"Your grandmother." This answer seemed to disrupt the tea drinker, but she remained calm.

"I can't to face you…I'm not ready...please...go to Tokyo, it's the best for both of us." Shizuru shut the door, and Natsuki continue to speak.

"Please Shizuru, I don't ask you to see me, I just want to tell you something important, just listen, you don't need to talk. After that, I will go."

"…" Natsuki saw Shizuru's reflection through the window of the door. So it was a sign to continue.

"I never had sex with Ahn, I can't…beside you think I can't keep my promises, I do it. When you saw us in my apartment, Ahn was tricking me. She came to my home to talk about you, I was stupid to let her explain her justifications…I…just want to understand what was your past relationship, that all. I was jealous. But some orange juice fell on her blouse, probably her purpose. And before noticing, she escaped to my bathroom, I have no time to react, next you came, and she was wearing a towel. And you know the rest.

"…so why didn't you tell me that? You let me assume you had a relationship."

"…I was wrong…I want to hurt you…like you did with me. That wasn't unintentional, but…

"I can't forgive you…" Shizuru said in hiccupped. It broke Kuga heart such a weakness. She saw a hand on the door, and she put her hand timidly on the door, being closer to her friend, although the glass outdistanced them.

"I…I know…I didn't ask for that…"

"You hurt me…"

"Yes…"

"Thrice…"

"Yes…thrice…perhaps more…"

"I can not relive these torments again; I can not stand this time."

"…"

"I can't forgive you…"

"I…I know…to worry…I'm not here for that…"

"Now…"

"What?"

"I can't forgive you…now…"

A glimmer of hope shone in the dark situation, Kuga could accept anything.

"I can wait." The bluette added trying in vain to hide her joy. But that wasn't possible, she was so happy. She only wanted to shout her happiness in the world.

"And if it takes me one year?" Fujino tried her best with honesty. But it wasn't easy...

"That doesn't matter to me."

"Or if it takes me ten years."

"You can add more, fifty years."

"I'm not sure to live that long…"

"Me neither. But it's not important; I will wait for you Shizuru." Natsuki promised with a chuckle.

"I don't ask you to do that."

"You are right, but...you are my soulmate, the only person I want to spend my life with. If it's only friendship, I will accept it without any shame. I just want a new start with you, a new life here."

"But your job in Tokyo, your friend and family."

"I can find another one here. There were also animals in China; I find a job in a zoo. And you probably forget, but you are my family Zuru, I can visit them, but for you…to be separate…it's impossible…"

There was a long silence; the veterinary took come the end of discussion, but the door opened. And Shizuru asked:

"Do you want to come? I made some tea."

"Yes! Yes! Yes! I mean…if you don't mind…" Natsuki blushed shyly to her outburst. She was totally crazy, yes totally crazy about that woman. And if she had any tiny chance to come back by her side, so she will do everything to deserve her.
