So, sadly I have decided that this will be the final chapter of The Toddler and the White Blanket. It has been a great journey with all of you guys. Thank you to all of those who stayed with me from Chapter One. I really appreciate the reviews, the follows and the favorites, it is amazing!

Now, I will be starting something new soon, but I need some ideas. So if anyone has any ideas, I was thinking Harry Potter or something, please send me them, whether it be in a review or a PM, but please don't be shy about it. I would rather hear some ideas than no ideas at all.

Disclaimer: Thanks to everyone that has stuck with this story, but sadly I don't own Once Upon A Time.

Please review, and thanks for the wild ride. I loved it.

Chapter 14

The little group spent most of the day at the park, wandering around, letting Emma pick at the bread that Mary Margaret brought, happily squealing as she tossed it in the general direction of the little pond and watching the ducks scramble around trying to see who could get at it first. David had to restrain Lady, who desperately tried to chase the ducks.

By the time that 3:30 rolled around, Emma was fast asleep on Mary Margaret's shoulder, one arm dangling down Mary Margaret's back and with her free had, she had stuck her thumb into her mouth. Lady was happily prancing around the grass as they walked back to the apartment.

"So what do you want to do now?" Mary Margaret asked David as they entered the apartment, they kicked off their shoes and Mary Margaret placed Emma on the couch and draped the white blanket over her little girl. Lady hopped up onto the cushions, spun in a circle and curled up at Emma's feet, placing her furry head on her little paws.

"What do you like to do when Emma is asleep?" David asked.

"Usually I will just sit around and wait for her to wake up," Mary Margaret confessed, playing with her fingernails.

"Well, why don't we watch a movie or something?" David suggested, looking over at the shelf of movies along the wall.

"What do you want to watch? I'm afraid that most of the movies appeal more to children ages 2 to 10," Mary Margaret laughed sheepishly.

"We can make do. I haven't seen most of these movies and if Emma wakes up, we won't have to stop it," David smiled, pulling Mary Margaret by the hand over to the rack.

"Which ones have you seen before?" Mary Margaret asked.

"Not many, if any of them," David said.

"Then this one is the perfect place to start. Emma loves Disney movies," Mary Margaret smiled, pulling the movie off the shelf and putting it in the player.

"What movie is this now?" David asked, taking a seat on one half the couch, leaving the rest of the space between himself and Emma for Mary Margaret.

"Snow White and the Seven Dwarves," Mary Margaret answered. "Although Emma has been pointing out everything that is 'wrong' with it since Belle gave her that book."

"Belle the librarian?" David asked. "The one who has been living with Mr. Gold?"

"That's the one. Ruby got her to babysit Emma for me when she was busy and she gave Emma a book of fairy tales that are not exactly the traditional ones," Mary Margaret smiled, taking a seat in between David and the curled up ball of fluff known as Lady.

Mary Margaret started the movie before David could ask any more questions. They sat in a comfortable silence throughout the movie. Halfway through Mary Margaret yawned and David wrapped his arm around her shoulder, letting her lean against him. He smiled, thinking that he had been in a similar situation with this same woman so many times before.

But that was ridiculous because he had only met Mary Margaret for a few weeks now. Looking down at Mary Margaret he saw someone so different, yet so similar. She had Mary Margaret's face, but long curling black hair and a flowered, white dress that draped over her frame and ended at her ankles. David blinked, rubbed his eyes and when he opened them again he found that Mary Margaret looked just the same as she had when they had sat down to watch the movie. David shook his head and sighed, placing the blame on his brain being overtired.

As the credits rolled across the screen, David sighed, dropping his head back against the couch. Just then, Emma decided to start stirring and stretched. Yawning, the toddler sat up and opened her eyes. Blinking, she looked around and found that her mother was fast asleep against David's chest. David on the other hand, was wide awake and watching the little girl. Emma blinked and rubbed her eyes, staring at David dead in the eyes.

"Tan you wead me a stowy?" Emma asked, pointing at the big, leather bound book on the coffee table.

"Sure. Any suggestions?" David asked, reaching out slowing and grabbing the book, making sure to not wake Mary Margaret.

Placing the book on his lap he watched her for a minute. She stirred, wiggled her nose a little, which David found adorable, but didn't wake up.

"Snow White," Emma answered, jumping up off the couch, toddling over and scrambling back up into David's lap.

"Okay," David answered, flipping through the yellowing pages until he came up with the story of Snow White.

David managed to get through the entire story without waking Mary Margaret, but as soon as he read the last word, he slipping into a daydream almost.

Pictures flashed across his eyes, pictures that he now realised were memories. Memories that were very important to him. Pictures of horses, castles and crowns. Beautiful women in sparkling gowns and one face that came up constantly. Mary Margaret's face. But she was not actually Mary Margaret from what David could figure out. From what David finally gathered, this was his real life. This was all fake. The woman that was asleep against him right now was not his girlfriend but in fact his wife. And the little blond girl in his lap was not just his girlfriend's adopted daughter, but was actually his real daughter. He remembered the Evil Queen, Regina, threatening them at their wedding. The sword being drawn from his belt by his bride. The birth of the little baby girl in his lap. The castle that he had lived in. The giant green cloud that billowed towards the huge stone building. Fighting off a bunch of soldiers from the Queen's army. Putting baby wrapped in the blanket that Emma was currently cuddling, in the wardrobe. Regina laughing at Snow as she cried over his still, bloody body.

When David came to again, he found that Mary Margaret was on the floor, wide awake and looking around and Emma was poking his face.

"Snow!" David yelled, pulling the woman up from the floor and hugging her close.

"What are you doing?" Mary Margaret squeaked, confused at his actions.

And that was when David pulled back and then pressed his lips against hers. Mary Margaret's eyes snapped wide opened before she slipped into the kiss.

She stayed in a dreamlike state for a few seconds, but when she came back to reality, she had something else in her eyes.

"Charming!" she yelled, jumping into her husband's arms.

Suddenly she remembered the little girl.

"Emma!" Mary Margaret yelled, pulling the little girl up from the couch and hugging her close, spinning her around in a circle and placing kisses all over the toddler's face.

"Mommy!"

When Mary Margaret stopped spinning, she pulling Emma away from her body to get a good look at her daughter.

"Daddy!" Emma yelled, pointing her finger over Mary Margaret's shoulder at David.

Mary Margaret had tears rolling down her cheeks as David pulled his two girls until his body. Then something amazing happened. A brilliant light surged out from the reunited family and spread across town.

"The curse! It's broken!" Mary Margaret laughed, the tears still rolling down her cheeks as she kissed David on the lips and planted a kiss of Emma's chubby cheek.

Lady pranced around the family, barking and yipping happily as they hugged again.

Across town, Mr. Gold sat at his desk with Belle. They felt the surge of energy pulse across town and smiled at each other. Mr. Gold planted a kiss on Belle's lips and they hugged.

"What happens now?" Belle asked.

"Well, the town will probably fall into a rage and try to hunt down Regina to kill her for revenge. But if you want we can just sit here and enjoy the moment," Mr. Gold answered, kissing the top of her head.

All across town, people were rushing towards each other, kissing, hugging and crying. Reuniting with family or still remembering what had been. Ruby dropped a platter of glasses onto the floor of the diner and ran to her granny, a smile on her face.

As soon as they had their moment, Ruby realised; "Snow and David!"

They pair rushed off across the town, bolting into the apartment to find that Snow and David where sitting on the couch, Emma sitting on both of their laps at the same time. They weren't talking at all, just smiling at each other.

When the door slammed against the brick wall, Snow spun around to find that Ruby and Granny were standing in the doorway.

"Ruby!"

"Snow!"

The two rushing towards each other, hugging and crying. David came over to join them, Emma sitting on his hip as they all came together in a group hug.

"So now what?" David asked as they all walked back to the diner together.

"We live out our happy ending," Snow answered, grabbing David's hand with her free one.
