AN: About f*cking time, geez it's been a while since I updated. I'm terribly sorry for that, I had a big writers' block, and even have it now. That's the reason why this chapter is much shorter than the previous ones, but I got so upset by my inability to write this chapter, that I just cut it a bit shorter so I can finally post something. However I'm not sure about the future updates, I probably will have to take a break because mayor tests are coming up in school :/
Anyway I hope you are still enjoying the story, and let me know what you think in a review below.
Other: I'm thinking about writing a god-like fanfiction, but have no idea what character should I use, Naruto or Seras. Also since I want to make a big crossover, let me know what animes or anything else you would like to see in it, and I'll try to make it happen. Until later!
"No way, no fucking way!" she bursted out into loud laugh. "I can't believe this! This is tooo good!" she laughed loud, almost maniacally. For a few moments everybody watched her laughing, but then Lealia couldn't hold it in anymore.
"What is it?" she asked quite angrily
"Oh, not going to tell you. You know, spoilers!" Seras smiled at her, finally finishing laughing.
"Then I'll have to beat it out of you."
"You are welcome to try." grinned Seras and lifted her katana to eye level.
Lealia jumped forward, she was using her vampiric speed and power to gain some advantage. She slashed towards Seras stomach, which she blocked easily by putting her katana vertically before herself, then with a quick movement of her wrist, Seras pushed Lealia's katana to the side. And with her free hand, Seras punched her in the stomach. From the impact Lealia flew backwards and into the wall. Dust and small pieces of wood hazed the vision of everybody.
Before the dust could have settled, Lealia rushed out from it and attacked Seras again. Her eyes were glowing light red, it showed that she was using her gifts. Lealia tried with an upward cut this time, which Seras gracefully evaded by turning to the side. However Lealia counted on this, and so she turned around too, bringing her katana to Seras back. But before she could have felt the sweet scent of blood, Seras ducked. But something was amiss. Seras didn't just crouched, but held her sword in the air in such way, that Lealia's own speed cut her arm in half, when it collided with Seras sword.
Lealia finished her turn with one arm less. Everybody could hear as her sword with her arm hit the ground and stayed there. Seras and Lealia were a few metres away again, facing each other. Seras, still grinning watched her opponent, who looked at her lost arm. But it looked like Lealia didn't feel anything, in fact she began chuckling. Seras was confused at first, then took a look at her shoulder. From the wound, black shadow was leaking. It flowed to the ground. Lealia was looking at it too, then turned her head to Seras, and a bit surprised expression sat on her face.
"You aren't even surprised?" asked Lealia. The sight of her shadow was usually terrifying all her opponents, just like it did now the crowd. They rarely saw any real vampire fight seriously. But Seras didn't even look impressed or interested at all. Seras looked at Lealia when she spoke.
"No? Why should I be?" she asked confused. -"I thought you realized already the difference between us. I guess you didn't then..."
"What difference? Aren't you just a child of one of the other Masters?"
"Child of what?" Seras was now utterly confused. Was there even more from these poor bastards, who thought they are something special.
"Oh my god, did you grow up in a cave or what?" Lealia asked now mockingly.
"At least I had a place to sleep." answered Seras. Lealia immediately became dead serious, hate and anger filled her eyes. The leaking shadow formed into an arm with claws much bigger than they should be. Seras grinned even wider, she felt the battle coming. And indeed it did come in the form of Lealia, who now even faster, since she unleashed all her vampiric powers, launched herself at Seras. She thrusted her claws in front of herself, trying to rip of Seras upper-half. But suddenly she was stopped.
From Seras' back a gigantic wing with black feathers was sticking out. On the sides it looked like smoke was coming out from it, however the black clouds disappeared within a few centimetres. It was pulled in front of Seras and that's what blocked the attack. Lealia tried to push further, but it was like a wall, there was no way she could get past that wing. The crowd watched the scenery with awe and horror.
"What's wrong girl? Surprised?" Seras asked while chuckling, but didn't give Lealia enough time to answer. The wing pushed Lealia's hand aside suddenly, and so she was defenceless. Seras' katana easily slided into her stomach, and came out on the other side. Seras pushed her sword so far that the grip almost touched the younger vampire's stomach. But she wasn't done yet, and before Lealia could have regained control, she grabbed Lealia with her other hand at the girl's neck, and threw her across the arena into another wall again. Lealia dropped to the ground, and lay there silently. Everybody else was watching without a word, even the wants-to-be-Alucard guy sat on the edge of his chair with a worried expression on his face. Seras slowly turned towards the man, and looked up at him with a small grin.
"Now, if you would be so kind, and hand me my gun over..." she said with a sweet voice. -"or do I have to go over there?" The man hearing the obvious threat awkwardly stood up.
"SHOOT HER!" he shouted a few octaves higher than he wanted to. Seras just sighed annoyed. The soldiers didn't need anything more, and opened fire without hesitation. The floor was filled with bullets, dust and debris flew everywhere. Soon they all emptied their clips, the only sound was the cooling of the magnet machine guns. However when the dust finally cleared, Seras was nowhere to be found. The soldiers scanned nervously the area.
"Congrats, you killed that evil floor." spoke suddenly Seras from behind the "boss". Everybody gasped, and the fake Alucard tried to jump away, but he slipped. Luckily, or not it depends, Seras grabbed him by his neck, and held him high above herself with ease. "Since I have to come up here, you'll die. Rats like you don't deserve to live." said Seras was just about to kill the guy.
"Stop! I'm not finished with you yet!" yelled Lealia at Seras. The girl barely stood on her legs. "Don't touch my master!"
Seras looked at her for a few seconds, she looked like she was thinking. "You really are loyal, aren't you. He was hiding behind your back, and now that you fell, he didn't even pay any attention to you, but tried to save himself and filled the arena with bullets. And you are still trying to save him..."
"Yes." stated Lealia with a smile on her face. Seras saw that the girl doesn't have a chance, her legs were shaking. She sighed and dropped the man she was holding. Then she simply jumped back down into the arena a few metres away from the girl. And she just stood there without taking any type of defensive position.
"Attack me." Seras said in a serious tone.
"What?" asked Lealia panting, not believing what she heard.
"I said attack me now, or else I'll kill your master." Seras said with an even tone. She looked right into Lealia's eyes. Lealia didn't think about it anymore. She remade her shadow arm, barely. And she attacked Seras with all her might. Seras didn't move at all.
The unmistakable sound of flesh ripping echoed throughout the arena. Seras looked down at her stomach. Lealia's shadow arm was sticking out from it. Lealia was extremely tired, probably because an immense amount of blood was decorating the walls and floor instead of being inside her. Her face was twitched into a mixed expression of concentration, determination and happiness. She finally managed to damage this woman!
"That's all?" asked Seras with a sad tone. -"Well, I wasn't expecting anything more to be honest. Your shadow is so powerless that it didn't even cut through my body." Lealia looked into Seras eyes with a terrified face, who was looking back at her. There was no grinning, not even a small smile on Seras' face. "But you are loyal to your master after everything, and that's quite remarkable. You are worthy." Seras said, and leaned to Lealia's neck.
Lealia felt the cold breath of Seras on her neck, and knew what was coming. This one last time, she became the prey, she is the one who should beg for mercy, and she is the one who will lose her life. Seras' fangs sunk into her flesh, and felt as her blood began it's journey into another body. Her body became limp, and she wanted to sleep. She felt as life was slipping out from her body. Then suddenly a loud click came from behind Seras.
"Release her you monster!" shouted her master hysterically, his face was distorted as anger and fear washed over it over and over again. He was holding a gun to Seras' head, and pulled the trigger. The wall was painted red with Seras brain when the bullet flew through her skull.
Edward was watching the fight from the preparation room. He found a small window that looked at the arena. He was amazed by Seras, when she took out all the other fighters without a sweat, and got surprised as Seras saved that girl. Lucy fought well too, but she reached her limits and was lucky that Seras wanted to save her.
Then came that Lealia woman, and things got serious. Lealia was known for the fact, that she is really strong. Every time when someone bold enough insulted her master, got slayed down, no matter how they begged. For her, her master was the only thing she cared about. Some say that she has a kind heart, but it was hard to believe. On the other side, it was obvious that she was strong, as everybody saw her powers today.
Even Edward didn't see that kind of fearful magic before, to be honest since centuries no one saw any kind of magic. Probably because the natural vampires like Lealia herself rarely needed any magic to defeat others. They witnessed a fight between two real vampires, and it was stunning and terrifying at the same time. But of course Seras won, and Edward was almost happy. Just almost because then that asshole appeared behind her.
Edward's eyes widened seeing the weapon pointed at Seras' head. He knew that he has to hurry, and he darted towards the arena's door. Edward passed by a few bystanders who were watching the arena with their jaws on the ground, and were too focused to notice Edward. Luckily he still had his weapons on, so he took his staff. Even the guards didn't pay any attention to him, only when he got near the door. But it was already too late, Edward kicked the arena's door wide open.
*BANG*
He saw wide eyed as Seras gets shot in the head. He felt like the time would have slowed down around him. Edward could see every single little detail in front of him. The little drops of blood and brain that flew out from Seras' skull and plastered the walls behind Lealia even darker. He saw the gun in the man's hand recoil, as the slide moved backwards. The case fell out, and a little amount of smoke raised out from the hollow place. The muzzle flare illuminated the man's face that was pulled into a giant smirk. Lealia's expression was something completely different. She wasn't happy or sad, she was simply surprised. Then as her eyes focused on her master, they filled up with gratitude, hope, happiness, maybe even admiration. Edward then heard someone shouting and soon realized it was him who was shouting. He didn't understand why he cared so much for this woman, they just met a few hours ago. But still, there was something about her, something special below the surface that attracted him to her.
Edward stopped half way there. He realized that there is no point trying to save Seras. She was dead, her body soon turns into dust and only the memories remain. He just stood there and watched the woman's body slide downwards, resting on Lealia's own body. It was completely lifeless. Of course it is, he thought, she is a corps after all. Now even more than before. It felt hours to Edward as he stood there, but in reality it was a mere few milliseconds. Then he realized something. There was still something he could do for Seras. Even if he can't kill her murderer, he can save someone. A girl. Lucy her name is. And she is lying just a few metres away from him.
So he began running to the girl. Luckily none of the vampires noticed him, but he had to hurry. No-one survives the arena, except one person, but that person was now lying dead across the room. He grabbed the girl, and lifted her in his two arms, and began running back towards the door. And then something happened that was impossible.
"How do you dare...HOW DO YOU DARE INTERRUPT ME WHILE I'M EATING!" yelled suddenly the supposed-be-dead Seras while tilting her head back completely. The bullet hole was cleanly visible to everybody, right between her eyes. Her teeth were impossibly long, her eyes glowed brightly behind her glasses. Seras was officially pissed.
Lealia's master took a half step backwards, his eyes open wide, sheer terror on his face. That woman wasn't supposed to be alive. Lealia was still dizzy, but she looked at Seras surprised too. She wasn't terrified anymore, since she already accepted her fate. Neither did the master or anybody else have time to react. Seras' shadow suddenly erupted outwards and lifted off the ground, turning into pale black spears and spikes. These spikes flowed in every possible direction, or slided along the floor and up the walls. The fake Alucard was the first victim, but definitely not the last one. A shadow spike pierced his heart and lifted him up in the air. What nobody saw was that the spike sucked the blood out from the body, and absorbed every single drop of it. As soon as the civilians saw what happened to the man, panic cocked it's head. They tried to run out from the place, but Seras' shadows were much quicker and blocked every single route. It was obvious that no-one is going to escape her wrath. Soon enough the spikes attacked every single man, and woman in the arena, and the bloodbath began. The shadows reached the lights up in the air, and darkness flooded the chamber when the light bulbs exploded. Now Edward couldn't make out the bodies of the civilians clearly, but heard them too well. He heard their screams and the disgusting sound of ripping flesh. Suddenly something warm and sticky splashed onto his face, he knew what it was, but didn't have time to worry about it right now. As he turned around with Lucy in his arms, he saw the shadows racing to him too. Their impossible dark material turned into sharp spears. Edward suddenly turned around before the impact, he wanted to shield the girl with his body. He wanted to save at least one soul, if not even his own.
"NOT THEM!" he heard Seras voice over the darkness. The spears of blackness suddenly stopped, they turned to each other. It looked almost like they would have their own mind, then the spears turned around and leapt on another running civilian that somehow escaped the massacre until now. Of course Edward didn't see all of this, he only noticed the lack of pain that should have come when someone gets pierced through by three spears.
Not too far away from them kneeled Seras still at Lealia. She didn't even bother turning around to see if that supposed-to-be Alucard is dead or not. She knew that he was. With a satisfied smirk she bit hard on the girl's neck again, finally finishing off what she began. Soon Lealia's body went limp again, and Seras felt her soul joining her body. Lealia was now one with Seras. After all this, Seras stood up, and turned around, blood still dripping from the corner of her mouth. A stupid grin plastered across her face, it almost looked like pride.
"You okay?"-she asked from Edward casually. He just stood there his jaw still somewhere on the floor, Lucy's body in his hands. Seras walked to him between the bodies that lay on the ground. Not a single drop of blood was visible in the arena, the corpses had pale skin. -"You can give her me now." Seras said. Her hands were held out towards Lucy, Edward just nodded dumbly, and handed her the girl. Seras put her down on the ground in front of herself, and examined her.
"She is dehydrated. We need to give her some blood." Seras said in a calm tone. She then reached into her cloak, and pulled out short curved knife. In a smooth motion she cut her wrist, and held her hand above Lucy's face so the blood can drop inside her mouth. After a few seconds Seras withdraw her arm and let the wound heal on her wrist. Then she stood up.
"Okay then. She just needs to rest a bit and she'll be alright." Seras said in a more cheerful tone. Edward finally came to his senses.
"Why did you save her?" he asked looking at Lucy.
"She reminds me of myself a bit. And besides she was quite friendly with us." Seras smiled at him. Then her face lit up, when a thought hit her. "Oh right, almost forgot why we came here for the first place." She said and looked around thoughtfully. As her eyes rested on the chair where the false Alucard sat, she jumped up there and began looking around. After a few minutes a triumphant shout could be heard from behind the chair, and Seras walked around with a big pistol in her hands. The gun was ridiculously big compared to the woman holding it. It was painted completely black with some carving on the sides. Seras looked at her weapon with love in her eyes. Edward just raised an eyebrow seeing this, but didn't say anything. He saw enough already to not to be surprised. Seras put the gun inside her cloak and jumped back down to the ground.
As Seras walked back to Edward her mouth slightly open like she would like to say something, a loud noise rudely interrupted her. The double doors leading to the arena bursted open, and light flooded the room. One could hear the clicking of weapons when the safety goes off.
"Hold right there!" yelled a man whose face was dark because of the light coming from behind him.
