REEEEEAAAAAADDDD!
"Four way," Soul disagreed, "Giriko's old gang is going to try and take over when all chaos breaks loose. They want revenge for the Gorgon Sisters' death."
"So, we have all our work cut out for us," Kid sighed, "At least things are split two-two, ah symmetry."
"Ugh, would you shut up about that Kid?" Black*Star groaned. "Focus on what is at hand." He paused, "What we really need to prepare for is when the government tries to activate the devices planted in the girls' head."
"I have already thought of that," Soul cut off Black*Star, "For us to actually not get caught in our "extracurricular" activities, we are going to have to somehow remove the devices, especially if we don't want Spirit's team to take us out."
"That will only partially take care of them, that is but a minor set back," Kid said, "We need to set back Kami's team as well, from what I hear, she may start to "invest" in gang work, so she can gain an upper hand against the government . Plus there's the fact, that if we do not take care of Girriko's little start of an uprising we will be facing dire consequences. We wouldn't be able to take any surprise take overs."
"So what you're saying is-"
Kid cut Black*Star off, "We need to get our lovely enemies to either fight each other and ignore us, then we strike, or we speed one problem up, delay another, and keep the other right on schedule, we have the resources either."
"But we take a chance, no matter what," Soul concluded, and Kid nodded in response while Black*Star held his tongue from yelling at Kid for interrupting him.
"There's another thing," Black*Star said after a few seconds,"We are going to have to use Kim and the others more often for drug trafficking and the other stuff . They're gonna have to work over-time."
"You're forgetting about Patty's excellence at keeping the drugs moving," Soul shook his head, "No, Kim and the others won't be working over-time until much later, we can still allow the girls to run some things, we just need to add some limitations."
"Agreed, now are we good?" Kid asked and the other two nodded, "We are dismissed then."
Liz woke from her nightmare, someone banging on her door, it was Patty. "Hey. sis, you okay?" she looked so cute and childish.
"Of course, Patty, I just thought I saw a spider," Liz laughed nervously, "You know how I am with bugs."
"Oh, okay, big sis, if you say so, do you want me to see if I can find it?" the short blonde grinned, and Liz merely shook her head, and Patty just sighed, "I'll go find Kid."
"No, Patty-"
"Is Liz okay, Patty?" the pale teenager asked.
Patty shrugged then smiled, "You go talk to her," and skipped off, while Liz groaned.
Kid walked into Liz's room and shut the door. It was a plain place with accents of dark maroon. Her carpet was fluffy and soft and cream colored. The walls were white and across from her red canopy bed sat her vanity. To the right, her walk in closet's doors were opened wide. And a small night stand sat left to her bed. Anything that had wood was cherry wood.
Kid sat on Liz's bed and patted a spot next to him, "Come sit, Elizabeth." And she wordlessly did as she was told. "I thought everything went well on our date?" He looked at her questioningly.
"It has nothing to do with that, Kid, I'm fine, honest, I thought I saw a spider, that's all," she sighed and curled herself into a ball. She was covering her legs, Kid knew this, it was a sign.
"Elizabeth," he said strictly, "Tell me you're not starting again." She turned her head and Kid removed her from a ball and rolled up her pajama pants. Red scars littered her pretty legs. Liz covered her face, hiding from his gaze. His golden eyes were steel, "Elizabeth I thought you said you were done with cutting!"
"I-I was Kid," she whimpered. He stood up and punched the mirror, "Liz I swear-"
She ran over to him and hugged him tightly, he didn't move, and Liz ran out of her room to the bathroom and back, a towel in her hand as she pulled Kid on her bed and took the small pieces of glass out. When she was done she wrapped his hand in the towel. "Please, Kid... I'm working on it. The cuts are two months old, I'm getting better. I just... I slip, occasionally." She hid her face in his shirt.
He took a shaky breath, "Liz..." his voice was low, "I can't keep watching you get hurt... what set you off?"
She looked down, purposely avoiding his eyes, "Like I said, it was two months ago, ...it was when you were in your coma... I know it was only two weeks, but.. Kid I would break if you died, I-" the tears poured down her face, and Kid held her tight.
"I'm not leaving you, Liz, I promise," he nuzzled her. The two stayed like that. Liz was good at keeping on her mask... but there were times it needed to be repaired from wear, and Kid was the only one who could fix it, fix her.
Kilik walked along with Patty, he was technically her body guard, but he was definitely no longer "just a body guard". "Just a brick, right, Patty?" Kilik asked her nervously, it well past midnight and he hated these late night trades.
"Of course Kilik," she smiled and kissed his cheek, "Nothing to worry about, I'm just getting the money." She was way to happy and cheerful. The dark alley ways made him want to puke, especially since they were seeing a particular costumer who had a thing for trying to hit on Patty.
The short, creepy old man went by the name 'Mosquito' and had once served Arachne. Right now he was dressed like the detectives from those old movies people sometimes watched. "Your money," the man said gruffly and handed her something while she gave him a piece of paper. They backed away quickly and the old man called out swiftly, "Get out of here while you can, doll, things are going to start getting rough." And he disappeared.
"You ready to head to the club, Kilik?" she smiled like nothing had happened.
"Patty, we can go tomorrow, as much as I would love to go, you need a break from your... habit," Kilik said cautiously, and she pouted. "C'mon Patts, you promised you would stay off the stuff when we headed to deals and the club, I already know how you act when you're on it."
"Ugh, Killi, you're killing my buzz," she sulked. "At least have some fun with me-"
"When we're home," he cut her off, "Nothing risky right now with you like this." And she rolled her eyes and followed him to their ride, a limo, which Kilik had stolen.
