What is up my readers? Sorry about the lateness but OO has the explanation. In the last AN, I said three missions and Naruto and Hinata met up with Karui but sadly I added more than I wanted and only got the mission they last started on. It is somewhat lengthy and just this one mission. But I made up with it with a scene I am sure you guys will like. There is a good amount of drama; because no matter what, drama makes things interesting until you add too much of it but I have just enough along with some rumors. No Karui in this but next chappy. Chapter 4

Ambush and Reconnection

After the break, and untying Guy and Lee from the tree, the group heads off to the capital in the same formation as before, though Guy and Lee have their Flames of Youth speeches in check at the moment not wanting to experience what happened earlier. Though they know they won't make it there this day since the sun is about an hour away from setting. The group has been jogging at a light pace however the Green Beasts did random exercises during the run. Everyone sweatdropped at what they did but at least they didn't try to drag anyone else into doing them. Soon the dim glow of the sun's rays casted over the area as the large group stopped at a clearing for the night. The paladins set up Kirito's personal tent using the carriage while the teams set up their own with two of the genins keeping look out. The group talked with one another before they went to sleep, except for Naruto and Hinata who took first shift for the night though Naruto just set a multitude of mixed clones around the area for security.

Morning came as the group woke up and began packing, with Guy and Lee being the ones who kept look out though both are doing crazy workouts around the clearing. Everyone wondered if they even kept look out however Naruto knew that they did since some of his clones where brutally 'killed' when both of them would find one in the clearing. Yeah, Naruto really hated being woken up that way though had a laugh when they both destroyed a Raiton clone causing them to get hit with a huge jolt of electricity. After making sure everything is ok, both groups set off again and headed towards the capitol. It was going fine for about two hours when a group of bandits came out of the wood works surrounding them. "Give us your valuables or suffer the consequences." One bandit spoke out. All of the ninjas, except Guy and Lee, have passive faces while looking at them. "Well apparently none of them see our hitai-ates…" Naruto said making the others agree. The bandits scowl as they all just stand there though the paladins are fearful. "Hey did you hear what I said?" The bandit screamed. "That you are idiots? I got that. I mean after all you are dealing with Konoha ninjas." Naruto said as he pointed to his hitai-ate. The bandits just get angry though some are starting to wonder if this is a good idea. "But if you think you can win, why not challenge Guy and Lee here to a fight?" Naruto said pointing to them. "Of course we can. We outnumber you." The bandit screamed out as he pointed. "Hey Guy-san, this guy said he and the bandits want to challenge you and Lee to a fight." Naruto told them. The others chuckled as Guy and Lee got fired up. "YOSH. WE ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE." Both Guy and Lee screamed before they just went on the attack. The bandits soon learned that numbers don't matter against these two.

After the all-out brawl, all of the bandits are knocked out with broken bones or anything of the like. Guy and Lee are sad at the short fight but had a decent work out. Naruto and the others look through the bandits' pockets and such until Naruto sensed something. "SHIT. Guy-san, there is something heading for the carriage at high speed." Naruto called out. Guy looked at him then the carriage and ran to it before seeing what Naruto felt and tackled it before it reached the carriage. The paladins and Kirito freaked before moving out of the way as Guy and, whatever that was heading towards the carriage, rolled around on the ground before separating a good distance away. Kurenai and the genins headed towards the carriage before seeing what Naruto felt. In front of Guy stands a man who is the same height as Guy and muscular though not overly built as Guy. He wears a simple blue but tight short sleeved shirt and cargo pants that have camo-like colors on it with military style boots. His head is fully shaven as he looks directly at Guy. "Who are you my Youthful friend?" Guy asked as he is in a stance. The man smiled before attacking Guy. Both get into a heated taijutsu battle.

The group watches on wondering who this person is or why they are even attacked the carriage or fighting Guy now. "Seems there was more to this random ambush." Kurenai said. The others agreed as they stayed close to the carriage. The paladins and Kirito watch the fight as the genin stay look out. Naruto watches the fight but sends out a pulse at random intervals until he catches something. He looks to his right. "Hinata, Neji, use your Byakugan. I sense someone else nearby." Naruto tells them. The two nod and activate their kekkei genkai and look around but don't see anything. "I don't see anything Naruto." Hinata says. "Same." Neji says but both know about Naruto's sensing abilities. "Weird…" Naruto then looks to the left as he sends out a pulse but gets nothing. He sends out a stronger one and gasps. "DAMN IT. THE CARRIAGE." Naruto quickly jumps inside the carriage, grabs Kirito and jumps out as something comes out from the bottom and destroys the carriage in a tower of earth. The paladins are blown away but caught thanks to the genin before they jump back. They stand between the on-going fight and the tower of earth before all see someone stand on it.

"Well I can't believe I was still found out. Maybe you guys are different, especially the cute blond boy." The person speaks in a female voice. They wonder who the woman is as she stands five and a half feet tall on the ten foot tall spiral tower. She has on a short red shirt that exposed her stomach while her breasts threated to break said shirt. She also has on tight black shorts that stop above her knees with black high heeled sandals on her feet. Her platinum blond hair is long, going past her shoulders with a bang going over her left eye. The girls feel somewhat jealous at the woman's figure while the guys try to look past her body for a second since she is an enemy. Kirito has a blush though since Naruto is still holding onto her bridal-style. "Who are you?" Kurenai asked as she got into a stance. The woman chuckled. "My name is of no importance. Give me the girl and I will let you go." She said with a giggle. "Sorry but our job is keep Kirito-san and the paladins alive until they get home." Naruto said. He gently set Kirito down, much to her chagrin, but kept herself composed, as Naruto made plenty of clones surrounding Kirito and the paladins. "Ooh you know that move huh? Bet you are very strong." The woman spoke trying to charm Naruto. He blushed slightly but shook his head. "That is not going to work lady. Now who are you and why do you want Kirito? And who is the other guy fighting Guy-san?" Naruto asked. The woman laughed before she launched earth spikes from the spiral at them. All dodged, though the paladins and Kirito had to hold on to the clones that picked them up.

Kurenai went forward and launched some kunai at the woman though in vain since she just moved her hand as earth blocked the weapons. The woman jumped, however, when Kiba and Akamaru both attacked her with a Fang Over Fang. Now she is on the ground and surrounded by the genin and Kurenai minus Naruto though she smirked. She quickly did some handsigns. "Earth Release: Earth Armor." She called out as her arms are encased in earth before she throws a punch at Kurenai, who dodges. The punch hits the ground and causes the ground to shake hard as some of them fall. Using that to her advantage, she goes and punches Kiba though jumps back when ice is launched at her. "Well a Hyoton user eh?" The woman asks. Hinata says nothing as she launches more ice at the woman making her jump back more before she dodges a kick from Lee then blocks some kunai heading for her coming from Ten-Ten. During the time, Kurenai is trying to get the woman under a genjutsu but no matter what can't get her under one. The woman looks at her. "Trying to get me under a genjutsu? Not going to work sweetheart." She said before aiming at Kurenai and launching small earth spikes from her hands. Kurenai jumps and tries to dodge. However most are stopped by a wall of ice. "Thanks Hinata." Kurenai says as the woman scowls then heads to Hinata but dodges another Fang Over Fang followed by some punches, jabs and kicks from Neji and Lee and finally some kunai from Ten-Ten. "Well this is annoying." The woman grumbles.

Meanwhile, the fight between Guy and the other man are at a stalemate. Since they started, both kept exchanging blow for blow though the man realized fighting Guy is not a good idea since he knows he is unmatched. "Your style is very good my youthful friend. Maybe after this we can get together and train." Guy said with his blinding smile. The man sweatdropped as he blocked a punch but got sent back. He then jumped when Guy went for a low sweep but that set him up for a roundhouse at his left side sending the man rolling across the ground. He recovered but panted slightly. "Now, would you kindly tell me your name stranger? I am Might Guy, Konoha's Sexy Green Beast." Guy said with his Good Guy pose. The response he got is a punch to his stomach sending him flying into the bushes. The man cracked his knuckles as he headed to where his target is before being blindsided by a kick. He went rolling around before stopping then slowly standing up. "That was not a very youthful response my friend." Guy said as he stood in front of him in his stance. "Yeah well doing a pose in the middle of the fight is also stupid." The man retaliated. Guy thought about it. "You are right my friend. So from now on I will be serious about our fight." He said. The man paled. 'He wasn't fighting seriously?' He got his answer when Guy kicked him in the chest and sent the man further away from the group. His body rolled before he stopped and righted himself. "Fine then I will get serious also." The man said as electricity coursed through his body.

Guy looked at him as the man lounged at him. He dodged and parried some attacks though became slightly shocked whenever they touched. "Ha you won't be able to touch me now without being electrocuted." The man said arrogantly as he sent an electrified punch at Guy. Guy dodged but both gasped as Naruto grabbed the man's fist. "Maybe I should help you out Guy-san." Naruto said as the electricity coursed through him. Guy nodded as the man stood there amazed then scowled as he tried to send another punch. Naruto caught that one but is sent skidding back. "How are you able to not be affected by my electrical attacks?" The man yelled. "Heh, think of me as a human generator." Naruto said before he started to absorb the electricity. The man panicked but couldn't pull away. "NOW GUY." Naruto yelled since the man stopped producing electricity. Guy came in and kicked the man hard in the head, knocking him out and sending him crashing into the ground as Naruto dodged his body. "Thank you Naruto-san." Guy said with a thumbs-up. "No prob but let's tie this guy up and help the others." Naruto said as they tied him up before Naruto dispelled signifying a clone. Guy ran back to the group.

The fight between the woman and the rest of the teams kept going. All the woman mainly did is dodging since she is severely out numbered. That is until Hinata and Neji got her between them and Juukened her with the Sixty-Eight Trigram Strike and closed off a hundred and thirty six chakra openings. It was successful, until her body slowly dissolved into mud. "Guys she is underground. Kurenai-sensei jump." Naruto called out as Kurenai jumped away from an earth spike that came out of the ground. Hinata and Neji used their Byakugan to search for her in the ground though isn't easy since the woman could literally become one with the ground. They both sensed a high chakra output and before anyone could do anything, Kurenai, Hinata, Kiba, Akamaru, Neji, Ten-Ten, and Lee are all covered inside of a huge earth dome. "Well that was simple." The woman spoke as she stood on top of the dome. Naruto and the others gasped before Naruto scowled. "What did you do?" He demanded as he watched the woman come down and head towards him. "Oh nothing cutie, just trapped them inside. Don't worry they aren't dead, yet." She said. Naruto narrowed his eyes before launching a bolt at the woman. She didn't expect that and is hit full force though her body turned into mud. Naruto looked around as he and his clones got close before the woman reappeared once more above the earth dome though slightly panting and holding onto her chest. "Well that was unexpected. You are full of surprises little man." She spoke before feeling her feet getting cold. She looked down before jumping off the dome as a huge ice spire appeared in the center of the dome before the thing cracked. Then on both sides, Kiba and Akamaru came out of one doing a Fang Over Fang while Lee came out of the other doing a Dynamic Entry. Everyone else came out though slightly tired while Hinata is a bit irritated.

""You are getting irritating…" Hinata said slowly. The woman chuckled. "I should say the same for you." She said. Before anyone could do anything, Guy came in doing a Dynamic Entry between the group of Narutos protecting the client and the teams with the woman. The woman scowled seeing him. "So Guy you have any problems?" Kurenai asked. "No, while he was a worthy adversary, he was no match for the Green Beast." Guy said with his good guy pose and shiny teeth that made a pinging noise. Everyone, minus Lee, sweatdropped though the woman has to get away. She looked around seeing herself surrounded and sees some Naruto clones in the mix now. She smirked though. "Well I might not get my mission done or a kiss from the cute blond but I must say tootles for now." She said before disappearing into the earth. Everyone kept their senses up though. "Don't worry she is gone now. I can't sense her." Naruto said as he walked up to them with their client while his clones dispelled. Everyone sighed though Hinata is still irritated. "Why do I have a hunch we might see her again, specifically you?" Kiba asked as he pointed to Naruto. Naruto sweatdropped. "I don't know but maybe… She does know I'm twelve, right…?" Naruto scratched his head but all shrugged. "Well we might as well get a move on and get our clients home." Kurenai said. They all nodded though Kirito didn't want to jog. She is royalty and she didn't want her clothes to get sweaty and stink. Well this wouldn't be the first time anyway…

Later on in the day, everyone made it to the palace though Kurenai sent a message via bird for the bandits and the guy Guy fought. They had no other problems after getting back on track, except for Kirito not being used to running like them. So Naruto, much to Hinata's and Kiba's chagrin though Naruto asked him quietly if he took a bath which made him rethink his decision in carrying the girl, had Kirito get on his back and had her piggy ride. While being embarrassed in the position, she liked it better than running and also for being close to Naruto which Hinata saw but said or did nothing since she is the Daimyo's daughter. In the palace, the teams greeted the Daimyo who let them spend the night to rest and eat in his favor. The teams thanked him. For the remainder of the day, the teams split up to do their own things with Naruto, Kiba, Hinata and Ten-Ten looking around the place and learning things in there though they lost Ten-Ten after they saw a room full of weapons. After that, they had a good sleep in the fancy guest rooms and soft beds. In the morning, both teams left after saying goodbye to the Daimyo and his daughter along with anyone else they met before heading back to Konoha. They had to harm Guy and Lee though after they wanted to do a running challenge. Even if they didn't have the carriage anymore, it would take more than an hour to even arrive there and none of them, not even Ten-Ten and Neji, have the 'insanity' of even getting there that quickly. Though during the run back, Naruto felt himself being stalked. He sensed the woman they fought before always near them but never did anything and sometimes disappeared fully. Naruto sweated since he has a hunch he would be stalked from now on by said woman. Kurama just laughed his ass off at that.

It took a day but the teams finally make it. Kurenai gave her team the next day off before she and Guy headed to the tower. Everyone split up as they headed home; well Naruto headed to Ichiraku's to see how things are doing. It is a short jump thanks to his advanced shushin. He lifted the flap as he entered. "Ayame-nee-chan. Teuchi-oji-san." He called out as he sat on the stool he always sat on. Ayame came out of the back. "Oh hey Naruto-kun. How are you?" Ayame asked. "I am fine. Just got back from a mission and wanted my usual." Naruto said with a grin. Ayame chuckled and nodded. "Ok give me a second. My father isn't home so give me a bit." She said. Naruto nodded as she turned around and headed to the kitchen. Naruto sat there as he looked around. "Hey kit, not to mess up your thoughts but that woman from before, I sense her some hundreds of yards from here." Kurama told him. Naruto raised an eyebrow as he sent out a pulse and quietly gasped. 'Shit, what is she doing in here? Better yet, how did she get in the village?' Naruto thought as he began to sweat. "Not sure but it would be best to send a clone and see if she follows it." 'Good idea but let's wait a bit longer. She might suspicious if I send one out this early.' Naruto thought. Kurama agreed. Naruto sent a pulse out at random though each time he sensed her still there.

Soon Ayame returned with three bowls of chicken, pork and beef ramen along with two burgers that Naruto created that has two big patties each with cheddar cheese in-between them, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and bacon with toasted buns. Naruto began with his ramen. "So where is your father at Ayame-chan?" Naruto asked. "He just went out to get more ingredients. We are close to running out for ramen and the things you helped create. They are very popular." Ayame said. "Really? Then why a slow day today?" He asked as he finished his first bowl. "I don't know. Only a few came in today but some of the items we couldn't make today so maybe that is why." Ayame said in thought. Naruto nodded as he began the third bowl. "So where did you go?" Ayame asked. "Me and the team along with Guy-san's team did an escort mission to the Fire Capitol to escort the Daimyo's daughter Kirito. It was a long trek since it takes a while to get there. It took almost two days to get there with the carriage in-hand, we spent the night there, and took a day to get here. Though we had a big battle with a lot of bandits and two people who are powerful. Well the guy Guy-san fought wasn't as powerful as he is but could keep up. The woman was real trouble though." Naruto told her. Ayame nodded. "Wow sounds tough." "Eh it was but at least we all made it out alive. We had fun looking round the palace though. It is very big." Naruto said as he began with one of the burgers. "Say Naruto-kun, what are you doing to do later?" Ayame asked. Naruto looked at her as he ate. "Well…" He swallowed the bite he had as he thought. "Go home I guess. Why?" Ayame blushed abit. "Well I thought maybe we could hang out together." She said. Naruto raised an eyebrow but shrugged. "Sure. Though would your dad be okay with it?" He asked as he finished the burger. Ayame nodded. "Ok. But first…" Naruto said before he made a clone and whispered into his ear. The clone nodded and saluted away as he walked out of the small shack and walked heading towards the tower. Ayame looked at Naruto oddly as Naruto kept sending out pulses. Soon he felt the woman follow the clone. "Uh…" Ayame started. "I will explain later. Why don't I take the burger with me?" He asked. Ayame nodded slowly before grabbing a bag and a carry-out box then put the burger in the box then the box in the bag. Naruto grabbed it as both walked out with Ayame closing up. Both headed to Naruto's apartment.

They arrived without trouble. Naruto let Ayame inside as she looked around. Naruto went to the fridge and put the burger in the fridge as Ayame sat on the couch. Naruto sat next to her. "So what do you want to do Ayame-chan?" Naruto asked. Ayame blushed giggling before she went and kissed Naruto. Neither Naruto nor Kurama expected that before Ayame pulled away. Naruto blushed as Ayame giggled. "Um…" He is at a loss for words. She giggled more before kissing him again this time deeper. Naruto didn't know what to do but kissed her back. It felt right to him. The two kissed before they separated again. "A-Ayame-chan…why did you kiss me…?" Naruto asked with a blush. "Because Naruto-kun, I'm someone who you used to know." Ayame said. Naruto became confused. "Used to know…?" 'I am so lost.' Naruto said then thought. "Same here kit…" Kurama said. "I know you used to be Cole McGrath, Naruto. Because…" Ayame said with a sad smile. That made both of them surprised. 'She knows I'm Cole? But how?' Naruto just kept looking at her incredulously. "I am Trish. I was reborn thanks to Kami, Fate and Destiny." Ayame told him. Naruto is taken aback by that and starts stuttering. Ayame giggled before putting a finger on his lips. "If you want to be sure, Zeke is your best friend even though he screwed up before but made up for it later. I saw everything you did for Empire City and New Marais after I died. I watched over you Cole. I am so sorry I thought you killed my sister and was the terrorist that caused the explosion…" Ayame started to cry. Naruto just looked at her. "Is it really you Trish…?" Naruto asked slowly. Ayame nodded before Naruto hugged her tightly, tears running down his face now. "This isn't a dream…is it?" Naruto asked softly. "No/No." Both a crying Ayame and a stunned Kurama said. "I have you back… I really have you back…" Naruto then kissed her deeply as Ayame returned it. They shared a long and tender moment before separating. They smiled and giggled before cuddling one another.

"But wait, why would the Gods resurrect you? I mean I am not against it but why?" Naruto asked. "To help you out. I know you still grieved over me even long after my death. At first, I didn't want to since I wouldn't be able to look at you in the eye after all of the things I said before…" Ayame said but Naruto put his finger over her lips interrupting her. "I understand. I was never mad at you for that Trish. I mean I tried hard to win you back." Naruto said. "I know Cole. And I am sorry. You did try your hardest. You helped out so much but I was just blinded by things and realized too late in the end. I'm sorry I left you alone…" Ayame said softly. Naruto just held onto her. "It's ok. We can make a fresh start." He looked at her. "But why wait for so long?" He asked. "I wasn't sure if you would believe me, especially since you never showed your powers before." She said. Naruto nodded. "Yeah true. The Gods told me that I would get them on my twelfth birthday." He told her. Ayame nodded. "Ok. But yeah we can make a new start, Naruto." They kissed once more. Kurama smiled seeing that but wondered if the Gods have anything else planned. "Hey kit, ask her if the Gods told her anything else." Kurama suggested. Naruto nodded as they broke the kiss and he looked at her. "Ayame, did the Gods tell you anything else?" He asked. "Well…" Ayame started with a small blush making Naruto raise an eyebrow and Kurama sweatdrop. "…Kami, Destiny and Fate told me that you, me, Kuo and Nix would be…attracted to each other…in that manner." Ayame said with a bigger blush now. Naruto is wide eyed as Kurama just started laughing. "You mean like to find one another because we are conduits…wait you aren't one so that makes no sense. Oh…" Naruto blushed now making Kurama laugh more. Ayame nodded slowly. "Oh wow, that is fucking priceless. Kami is a genius along with Fate and Destiny. Oh this is too much." Kurama kept laughing in his cave as Naruto sweatdropped. 'Not helping dude…' Naruto hung his head. "Great…"

Up above, Kami, Fate and Destiny giggle as the others shake their heads. "Kurama is right. Good prank. And one that will last for a long while." Inari spoke having the others agree.

"Is that why me and Hinata are getting close like that?" Naruto asked. Ayame nodded. "Yeah though odd Nix isn't in the village." Ayame said. "How close have you two gotten?" She asked. "Well…she kissed me some weeks back on the lips. I just told her let's just see how our friendship goes since I still haven't gotten over you. You aren't mad though are you?" Naruto asked. "Yes but not at you or Hinata. Though you can't be mad at Kami, Fate or Destiny. After all they are Gods." Ayame said. "Though why do this, I have no clue…" Ayame sighed. "Boredom." Kurama said plainly after getting his laughter calmed down. Naruto sweatdropped. "Oh by the way, you know I have you-know-who in me?" He asked. "Yes I know Naruto. I'm a bit older than you remember?" Ayame said. "Oh yeah though why are you? Couldn't the Gods have you be born around my new age?" Naruto asked. Ayame shrugged. "Not sure. Maybe the Gods thought with you having Kyuubi inside of you, your childhood might be difficult which was…" Ayame deducted. Naruto nodded. "Good point so I can't fault them for that." He said before cuddling Ayame more making her giggle. "Hey, will you be ok with two other girls joining us?" Naruto asked. Ayame blushed. "Well it wouldn't be helped but I don't really mind that much…" Ayame said looking away. Naruto giggled and kissed her neck. "Let's just stay like this for a while. I am sure your father would worry about you since you aren't home." Naruto said. "Oh he will be fine. I hope…" Ayame said. Naruto nodded as they stayed lying on the couch.

Morning

The sun came over the village of Konoha as the shops started to open up. Except for one. In Ichiraku's, Teuchi is on his couch in his home above his little shop holding onto the note Ayame wrote that she left behind for him. It said she would be staying at Naruto's place and it is her decision so he couldn't say or do anything. Teuchi smiled though. He always saw Naruto as a surrogate son and had a small hunch his daughter might like the boy. Though he did promise himself if Naruto harmed her, he would be in a world of hurt. In Naruto's apartment, Naruto got a shiver going down his spine as he woke up. "What the hell was that about?" He asked himself quietly and saw he is in bed now. He raised an eyebrow as he removed the covers and sees he is still wearing his clothes minus his shirt. He also saw Ayame sleeping next to him though also her shirt off. Naruto sweatdropped. "Well at least last night wasn't a dream but, why is she topless?" He asked himself. He got down and kissed her lips gently making her wake up and kiss him back. "Mmm…" Ayame opened her eyes and smiled. "Morning Naruto-kun." "Morning Ayame-chan. Um, why are you topless?" He asked. Ayame looked down then shrugged before looking at him. "Why not? After all we did have sex with each other in our past life." She said. Naruto sweatdropped once more. "That doesn't really answer my question…" He said.

Ayame giggled before she sat up and kissed him deeply. They kissed before separating. "I know, but I want to make up for before Naruto-kun. And like you said before, we can start over." She said rubbing his chest. "I know but, I don't want anyone to say anything about you. I mean after all, most of the villagers think of me as the Kyuubi-brat even though Kurama is way better than most of the idiots of the village." Naruto said. "Kurama?" Ayame asked. "Oh yeah… It's Kyuubi's real name. He told me when I got my powers back but don't tell anyone. He told me because of trust and I don't want to break that." Naruto said. Ayame nodded. "I promise." She said before getting on Naruto. "Uh…Ayame, what are you doing?" Naruto asked but didn't mind it. She giggled and kissed him some more. "Well you have today off right?" She asked as she looked at him. "Yeah…" He blushed since it has been a long time since he was this close with Trish.
