Sorry for the late updates. You know the drill. Anyway, extra long chapter here! This chapter will be told from the point of view of Sherlock.

The Doctor looks at Donna with a look of desperation on his face, and then he tells her. He tells her about her first wedding and how she appeared on his TARDIS. He tells her about how she went looking for him and found him at Adipose Industries. He tells her about Pompeii, the planet of the Oods, Agatha Christie, and the stolen planet. He explains the Meta Crisis, how Donna Noble saved every universe out there, how she created another, human Doctor and absorbed part of his Time Lord knowledge. And, his voice breaking, he tells her how she was dying and he wiped her mind of memories of him. Donna watches him as he speaks. Gabriel keeps one finger on her temple as the Doctor speaks.

"I didn't want to do it. I never wanted to do it. I just…I didn't want you to die. But I took your choice away. And, I'm so, so sorry."

Donna nods slowly.

"Okay. So I traveled in outer space with an alien that somehow looks completely human. In a phone box. That's bigger on the inside."

A faint smile crosses the doctor's tired face.

"A TARDIS. That stands for-"

"Time And Relative Space Dimensions. It's larger on the inside because it's got a pocket dimension system that's common on the planet of Gallifrey. It was grown there. And you and your granddaughter took it and ran away."

Fear and wonder flash in her eyes.

"How the hell did I know that?"

The Doctor glances back at us, asking for help. I clear my throat.

"Donna Noble, you're part Time Lord. You have the knowledge of an ancient race in your brain. It would kill a human, so the Doctor wiped your mind to give you a chance to survive. But it meant you couldn't remember him or your adventures together. However, your mind still retains the knowledge in your subconscious brain. Gabriel is an archangel, he can bring back your memories in a way that would save your life, which would allow you to remember the Doctor and use your Time Lord memories."

"But I want to give you the choice that you didn't have last time. You can choose to have your memories back or you can choose to forget this encounter and go back to your normal life. But it's your choice. It's always been your choice."

Donna meets the Doctor's eyes.

"I think I always suspected this. It just…made sense. The past three years…sometimes they feel like a fragile dream. I want to know what I missed. I want to be who I was. The most important woman in all of creation."

She turned to Gabriel.

"Go for it, Cupid."

Gabriel presses his forehead to Donna's and closes his eyes.

"Open your mind, Donna Temple-Noble. Remember who you are."

There's a brief pause and then Donna staggers back, shocked. She turns to the Doctor.

"You! You're…shorter. But your taste in clothing hasn't improved."

The Doctor grins. "I missed you so much."

The two of them embrace for a long time.

"So tell me, Doctor. What are you doing in New York?"

"It's kind of a long story. Do you remember Harold Saxon?"

"Of course. He always seemed like a bit of a tosser to me. I voted for Harriet Jones."

Clara glanced at her watch.

"Can we explain this in the TARDIS? We might want to get out of here before the cops show up."

Dean pulls a wad of cash out of his wallet and leaves it on the counter, before loading pastries in a paper bag.

"I got us some snacks. Do we want vanilla or chocolate cake pops?"

Sam rolled his eyes. Gabriel's hand shot up.

"Both!"

Donna was amazed by the new TARDIS interior.

"Not as much grunge. You're really going for the high-tech look here, I can tell."

The Doctor runs a hand over the console.

"She's a beauty, isn't she?"

Donna stared up at the Gallifreyan writing on the ceiling console.

"My name is up there. And…Martha, Amy, Jack, Susan, Jo, Jamie…"

She smiled at the Doctor.

"You put all of us on there. On your TARDIS."

"You're the reason I'm still flying."

Clara walked over to Donna.

"Where am I?"

Donna pointed.

"There. Next to Rory."

Clara smiled at Donna.

"The Doctor said you were his best friend."

I look at John. I know how important it is to have a best friend.

The Doctor clears his throat.

"Okay, so everyone else, this is Donna, my best friend. Donna, this is Sam Winchester and his brother Dean, who is dating Castiel, an angel, over here. You've already met Clara and Gabriel. This is Mycroft Holmes, and over here we have Sherlock Holmes and John Watson."

Donna waves hello. John waves back.

"Are they dating too?"

John glances at me.

"I'm not gay."

"That wasn't an answer."

John shifts uncomfortably.

"Sherlock is married to his work."

"Well, actually…"

John stares at me.

"What?"

"You're part of my work."

"So you think we're married?"

"I'm just saying that isn't a valid excuse. "

The TARDIS suddenly becomes very quiet. Sam finally breaks the silence with a tiny cough.

"So, do we have any plan with regard to stopping the upcoming universal apocalypse?"

Gabriel slings an arm around Sam, or tries to.

"Well, Sasquatch, my first suggestion would be to check that paper Clara found. What was that it said about the lost, the forgotten, and the dead?"

Clara pulls the paper out of her pockets.

"This might be our best clue. Can the TARDIS analyze it?"

The Doctor glances at the console, apparently asking a silent question.

"Let's try. The lab is next to the karaoke bar. Follow me and try not to get lost."

We head down a corridor that wasn't there before. It's tight, but perhaps that's not the reason John's shoulder bumps mine as we turn corners.
