Chapter 7 - Magnostadt, Re-training

"Aladdin, do it again!" Kouha passed the paper to Aladdin. "Aladdin-sama, you're awesome!" One of the three girls said. Her name is Junjun. Junjun was a rather tall girl, with long straight dark hair. She wore a small hat, lipstick, and had a head bandage that covered her eyes. The two others are Reirei and Jinjin. Reirei was an average sized girl, with long curly dark hair and rather long eyelashes. She wore a small hat, lipstick, and had a bandage that covered her arms. Jinjin was a short sized girl, with long straight dark hair which was tied in two pigtails in her small hat. Her bangs made a peak shape. She wore lipstick, and had a bandage that covered her torso. They all wore traditional clothing, and the edges of her dress have laces.

"It's kind of easy, you just-" "Master, please kindly allow another guest to ride along. The luggage rack will do..." Kouha twitched at the interruption. His arms reached out and waved it off. "Aladdin, continue!" Aladdin continued folding the paper and handed the finished pieces to Kouha, Junjun, Jinjin and Reirei; paper flowers. "Pretty..." Jinjin muttered.

"Kouha-kun, I'll go get something to eat in my bag." Aladdin said. "Ehh~ Is the grape not satisfying?" Kouha asked. Aladdin shook her head and said, "I just want to eat peach." She pushed the curtains aside and walked towards her backpack. There was a man covered in cloth seating opposite of her backpack. She squatted down, opened her pack and grabbed some peaches before standing up again.

And then, the stranger covered in cloth's stomach gave a weird sound. Aladdin chuckled inwardly and offered the man a peach, "Here, have one." The man let out a chuckle and said, "As kind as ever huh." Startled, she took a step back before recognizing the voice. "Ryuu-san..? Ryuu-san!" She hugged the man with a face filled of happiness, the man winced in pain at the tightness.

"Ryuu-san, why are you here?" Aladdin pulled back and asked. "You see, Aladdin-dono..." The man started with a serious voice, which made Aladdin stiffened, but then changed soon. "I just wanted to take a break from flying in the sky~" Aladdin used a sarcastic voice, "Wouldn't it be better to use a magic transport circle?~" With that, both of them laughed.

"Ryuu-san-" "We'll meet again, Aladdin-dono..." And the man disappeared. "Wait!- Ryuu-san's body is degenerating... He should be sleeping! Not wondering around... It's not time yet..." Aladdin sighed. 'Why did he even come here...' The carriage jerked roughly and Aladdin fell out of the carriage with her staff. The first she saw when she opened her eyes was swords. She stood up and looked around to see that the carriage was surrounded by bandits. 'The same bandits...' She thought.

"Hey! Mercenaries, I'm counting on you!" Aladdin turned. "Leave it to us." Soldiers started moving forward to attack the bandits but got fended off or injured or killed by them as they use magic tools; they blast the soldiers off with fire balls. Some started to run to the back for their lives.

"Leave it to me!" Aladdin took her staff and readied her stances. "Fool! What can a brat like you do?!" The person behind her shouted; he quite seem to forget who boarded the carriage with Kouha. "It's fine, don't worry!" Aladdin pulled her staff backwards. "Kill them!" The leader - she assumed - shouted. 'Well then... Fire to fire~' "Har-Har-"

Cla-ing... The person behind Aladdin stiffened. The bandits fell on their butts. Aladdin paused. Kouh had a dark expression when he cut the carriage into half. "Be quiet and give Aladdin back." He said, leaning forward as he supports his weight on his right leg. "You're totally spoiling the mood of my journey."

"Hey old men! Does this mean you all are okay with a death penalty?~" Kouha jumped off the carriage. "Your highness, you're supposed to be travelling incognito. Please restrain yourself. Aladdin-sama, please come towards our side." Junjun said. "You're wasting your breath..." Reirei sighed. Aladdin didn't moved and Kouha charged forward, while a bandit charged towards him too. "Damm brat!" The soon-to-be-dead-bandit insulted.

Kouha got his sword under him and cursed, "Die!~" He swung it upwards and sliced the bandit into two; blood splattered everywhere. Kouha shook in excitement and the three beauties in bandage felt happy. The bandits' eyes widened in fear but nonetheless some charged forward to meet their death. Kouha was laughing all the way when he sliced the bandits into half. "That brat has gone crazy!" One of the bandits said.

Kouha smirked and commanded, "Metal Vessel: Nyoi Rentou!" He activated his metal vessel and the sword grew larger. The bandits all looked at Kouha in fear and disbelief as the sword grew extremely huge. "Now hen, you all want to go in one blow?" The sword leaned forward and somehow, Aladdin had a camera on her hands. Three, two, one...

Snap, snap as Kouha went, "Wot-to-totototo..." His face was so cute! Aladdin gave the blissful look. The sword landed on the floor as it was too heavy for Kouha. "Urgh... Heavy!" Kouha huffed out a sigh as the sword changed back to normal and more importantly, lighter.

"What? Look at that brat. A ridiculously huge sword like that- there's no way he could use that! Take him out!" The bandit said, somehow regained their confidence but still... They shot fire balls at Kouha. Kouha swung his sword to his shoulder, taking a baseball hitter stance and pouted, "Humph! I just happen to make it big a little too fast, that's all... Know what I mean, right!" As the fire balls came closer, Kouha swung it forward and the sword extended. It sliced everything in its way half horizontally.

Kouha continued it for two to three times before stopping the attack. "Okay, that's enough. Old men..." The sword extended again and brought Kouha in the air. It shrunk, and Kouha dropped down as he got closer to the ground, it grew bigger and swung it forward and the ground changed its shape. He landed elegantly on the ground and ran towards Aladdin, hugging her. The person that kind of insulted Aladdin was sweating to no end.

When the carriage was 'fixed', they continued their journey to Magnostadt. "I told you, the land is dangerous. Didn't I suggested using the carpet?" Reirei chided. Junjun was cleaning Kouha and Jinjin was fanning Aladdin and Kouha. "No way! I utterly loathe those things!" Kouha pouted. "And it wastes energy too..." Aladdin added.

"Your skin dries, your clothes get dusty! Hell will freeze over if I ever take one all the way to Magnostadt." Kouha added on. Aladdin laughed off softly. And that, Kouha started slapping Junjun as he said, "Hey! Do a better job wiping that off! This happens to be one of my favorites!" Reirei came into the scene and said, "No fair! Hit me too!" Jinjin joined in too, "Me, too!" Aladdin sweat-dropped. 'Don't your clothes look all the same...? Okay, not all, mostly...'

Aladdin started putting a stone into her arm and wrapped it in bandage. "Ne, Aladdin! The paper flower!" Kouha showed her the piece he made. She smiled and praised it. "Master, there is still nine more days before we reach the capital..." "What? There's still that much more to go?~" Kouha sighed, drinking tea.

As days past by, Kouha spent time playing Aladdin's hair or playing shogi with Aladdin. And finally on the nineth day, when they were outside of the capital's gate. Kouha was in the middle of make plaits out of her hair and clearly - but not to Kouha - Aladdin was bothered by it. Aladdin got off the carriage and waved goodbye to Kouha. "Ah, Aladdin! Good luck! Oh, the recommendation letter is written by Sinbad, so yeah! See you~" He smiled. Aladdin nodded. 'I'm back, Magnostadt!'

Aladdin hurriedly joined the queue of people entering Magnostadt as a transfer student of the academy. Performing a borg would be the task to identify if you're a magician. When it was Aladdin's turn, she performed borg without breaking a sweat when the gladiator-like-person swung the iron hammer down and that luckily, the rukh didn't get noisy, not even for a while. The person marking every magician that entered nodded and pointed into the capital. "All right. Next!"

Aladdin walked in and joined the queue of the group of people who had passed to take the Kodor examination. She remembered the time she met him, and chuckled to herself before her turn came. And it came, she took a deep breath, and smirked to herself as she commanded, "Har-Har Sagir Infigal!" A small fire blast appeared in the middle of the protective barrier. "6th Kodor." The examiner announced and passed a piece of paper, that was the timetable of her classes. "All right. Next!"

Feeling satisfied, flowers bloomed around her as she took the timetable paper and wore the 6th kodor's medal. "What a lame little twerp.." A familiar voice scoffed. Aladdin turned around. Blue orbs brightened up as they met a pair of green orbs, which belonged to Sphintus Carmen. 'Sphintus-kun!' As she realized the comment he gave, she giggled inwardly. Aladdin followed a certain group of people, also known as students, and into the academy of Magnostadt. "Now we are heading to the academy! As the entire city is covered by powerful barriers, so there's no way you can enter or leave the premises without permission." The magician that brought them to the academy, said and then welcomed them into Magnostadt.

Aladdin looked around, feeling amazed when she saw the magicians flying around and felt the lively feeling of the city. She didn't listened to the person's explanation and continued admiring her surrounding as it was filled with magic. The group of people was let off at the entrance of the academy and they were led to the dormitory to find their room after the speech.

Aladdin stared at the piece of paper then started walking towards her room. When she found it, she pushed open the door without hesitation and was surprised to see a golden colored cobra hissing near her face. Well not that surprised, as she knew it is Sphintus's pet and its name is Kukulcan. Kukulcan slithered back to Sphintus's neck. He turned towards the door stared at her. "Uh?"

Aladdin smiled widely and said, "Oh, you're that guy from before. I see we're roommates, my name's Aladdin!" She walked closer to Sphintus. "Look, I'm in 4th Kodor! I'm not gonna get all chummy with a 6th Kodor. So lay off the easy going chit chat!" Sphintus scoffed as he showed her the paper and turned away proudly.

Not even listening, she smiled and said, "I see your name's Sphintus-kun. Nice to meet you." Sphintus, who was feeling slightly pissed, pulled back the piece of paper and started scowling, "Don't look at my stuff! You little... Bottom..feeder... Oh my god!"Sphintus almost screamed. He saw, he saw Aladdin's breast as he was leaning forward. His face was as red as tomato, no maybe even redder. "Yo-you're a girl?! W-w-wa-wait! I mean how exactly did you manage to find your way to the guys' dormitory!"

Aladdin followed his gaze down to her chest area. Yes, he was gawking at her breast and that he chided himself for not noticing at first glance. And then, she wondered, "Sphintus-kun is right... How am I in the same- oh wait. Probably because the dormitory isn't divided into two. Yup! That's it." She didn't want to waste much time about thinking this and said, "Sphintus-kun, I guess the dorm's shared between both gender..?"

Sphintus got hold of himself, rested his hand on his chin and nodded, agreeing to her stand. He then snatched her timetable and once looked, he was quite surprised but then again, not as Aladdin was in 6th Kodor. "Hey, what's with your training schedule?" He scoffed but its tone didn't sound harsh. "Look! It's nothing but body-strengthening marefs!" But his heart says a little different; 'Eh... For a girl as slender as her? To take this lessons... Wouldn't it be a little too hard...'

"Maa.." Aladdin silly-laughed as she rubbed her head. The next day, the 6th Kodor's students gathered in open field. They were stripped off of their wands or staffs. In front of them stood their instructor, Myers. She wore red glasses with pointed rims, shoulder plates with a floral design, a short black cape, a corset-like breast plate with a spider design that reveals the top of her breasts, a metal thong, and metal boots that cover most of her long legs, except her thighs and calves. She wields a red thunder whip, which she uses her lightning magic with.

"Uh, why did you take away our wands?" One of students asked.

"You scrubs aren't ready for them yet!" Myers shouted and released her whip with an enormous amount of strength. As the whip touched the ground and made a huge sound, the students startled and jumped. 'Haha... Myers-san hasn't changed at all.' Aladdin had a small smile on.

"I'm Myers, the instructors of you little punks!" Myers introduced herself and warned them. "You 6th Kodors are at the top of the dropout candidate list! Unless you're prepared to die in this class, two months from now, you'll all be thrown out!"

"Yes ma'am..." They quietly said. Myers's eyes widened and released her whip in front them - sparks were seen. They all fell on the ground. "I can't hear you! Hey, you little squirt there! Is that your excuse for a shout? Let me hear more of your voice! Show me that you're serious!"

'I guess it was good idea that I changed my size to a chibi..?' Aladdin thought as she got up and said, "Yes ma'am!" '... That's too soft...' Aladdin braced herself. Myers squatted down, grabbed her robe, threw her to the ground - face first - and shouted, "I can't hear you!" All of them freaked out at Myers' actions.

Myers then stated as she smirked at the end, "Listen up! I'll tell you what you 6th Kodors lack -it's... Physical strength!"

"Physical strength?" The students, excluded Aladdin, asked. They then brought to their training grounds and were all asked - more like ordered - to do pull-ups. "22, 23, 24, 25, 26... 27-!" Myers was counting at constant speed. All of them were barely hanging on the stick. "I thought this is supposed to be a Magic school..?" One complained and dropped to the ground. Almost immediately, Myers released her whip towards him, her whip coiled around him and she then used her lightning magic. "You dammed wusses!"

He screamed in agony and fainted - of course. One helped him up and whispered, "It's like we're in the army!" His friend came over to him and said, "That instructor's rumored to be a former army magician with the Partevian forces!"

Myers turned and looked at Aladdin to check her progress. Aladdin stood on a block, jumped and grabbed the stick. She hung there as she kicked the block away. She went up, then down, then up, then down and then fell onto the ground. Myers strike a lightning onto Aladdin while shouting, "Hey you!"

After recovering from it, Aladdin's body shook a little and said, "I-I'm sorry! It's been a long time since I'm doing this again..." Myers got pissed off. 'Seems like none of my sentence changes seem to work on her...' Aladdin sweat-dropped.

"Hey losers, I'll bet you're thinking, 'But magicians don't need physical strength!' - aren't you? Even among magicians who have a rep for feeble, you're feeble beyond words! Therefore in your current state, you have no right to wield a wand!" Myers shouted. "When you're told to run, you will run! When you're told to eat, you will eat! When you're told to shout, you will shout! Over the next month, only those who believe in themselves and refuse to compromise, shall receive lessons in magic!"

"Now then... Run! Anyone who stops will be expelled!" Myers stated and released her whip as they ran towards the tower. "Y-yes, ma'am!" They shouted. They were ordered to climbed up the high tower before dinner. Aladdin managed but lots of them gave up in the midst, as they all collapsed in different level.

When dinner was served in the cafeteria, most of the 6th Kodors could not take in their dinner. Aladdin ate hers but could not take in much. 'As expected of this but still...' Her face was frowning, hands covering her mouth to prevent vomiting. Sphintus walked passed but he didn't made any comment, only to take a glance at Aladdin.

The next day, they were ordered to climb the same tower first. "We're almost there!" Aladdin said as two magicians - Nero and Sa Lin - were behind him. "Push-ups! Sit-ups!" Myers ordered. "You can do it! You can do it!" Sa Lin chanted as Aladdin did the sit-ups. "Maurenian Rabbit jumps!" Myers shouted after they had done the sit-ups.

Nero jumped up in front of Aladdin, Sa Lin was behind. Aladdin kept on jumping without fail. Everyone panted at the end of the day. Aladdin returned to her room, lying on the bed face down. "Hey Aladdin! Where are you from? Since I'm bored, I might as well listen to what you have to say. Don't you have some kind of sob story that'll make us both shed tears?" Sphintus asked.

"Well, I.. Um..." Aladdin turned around, facing the ceiling. Thinking of nothing- no, in fact, she didn't want to think about anything and she asked, "What about you, Sphintus-kun?"

"Huh! Why should I have to tell you anything personal about me?" Sphintus, feeling prideful, scoffed. Aladdin replied tiredly, "Oh, I see..."

Sphintus gasped at Aladdin's uninterested attitude as he climbed onto Aladdin's bed and shook her. "Don't you want to hear it?"

"Well... Either way is okay." Aladdin mumbled. Sphintus gasped once more, "Either way?" "E-either way is not okay..."

Sphintus smirked and said, "Well, if you're gonna twist my arm... Since you're dying to hear about it, I'll be happy to tell you. The reason why I came here to Magnostadt from Heliohapt... Now there's a bitter and tragic reason that's way, way deep!" And a soft snoring was heard. "Hey, I'm still talking! Still talking about personal matters!"

At dawn, Aladdin already gotten out of bed and joined the class. "How long are you gonna keep up this zombie act? Run! Swim! Fly!" Myers shouted. "Yes, ma'am!" All replied. The whole day passed by training.

"Dammit, what the hell is this place, anyway? I came here to learn about magic! But here we are running and flying, day after day! Who wants to put up with this?! We're magicians, you know!" Two ranted, threw their 6th kodor's badge, turned and left Magnostadt. Aladdin sighed inwardly. The remaining students entered the cafeteria.

"The class had really shrunk, huh?" Nero said. Sa Lin scowled, "Such weak-willed souls!"

"Sa Lin, Aladdin, are you gonna be okay?" Nero looked at both girls with a worried expression. "Ya." Aladdin answered. Sa Lin answered next, "Well, sure, I do wonder what good it will do us to merely work out all the time like this... But for now, I'm thinking that for the next month, why not believe in our instructor? Because I want to become a magician, no matter what!"

"That's right..." Aladdin smiled and then three of them continued eating before returning to their dorms.

"I hear that there's hardly anybody left in your class." Sphintus said as he was hugging a pillow. Aladding sat up, cross-legged and wondered out loud, "I wonder why everybody just gives up? I know it's really tough, but..." She sighed.

"People who quit on their own just don't have what it takes! No way am I ever gonna quit!" Sphintus said as he rested his head onto the pillow. "Yeah... I can't afford to quit, either." Aladdin mumbled. 'All depends on saving them...' She then added mentally.

"Still, I wasn't expecting that you to be like this, Sphintus-kun." Aladdin said. 'I couldn't remember what I said the last time...'

Sphintus thought for a while then smirked, "I see that you're finally starting to appreciate my awesomeness!"

"I thought you were just doing this as a hobby..." Aladdin teased.

"What did you say? Haven't I told you repeatedly?" Sphintus gasped. "All right, this time you're gonna open up those ears and listen to me, dammit! Listen! The thing about me..." A soft snoring was heard. Again.

Sphintus looked towards Aladdin and found her sleeping. "On purpose? Hey, you doing that on purpose? Hey! Hey!"

Well, at that moment, Aladdin was thinking. 'The world changes all the time and this time, I'll do it right..."
