"Mortal, you have failed me for the last time. You are coming to the end of your...usefulness..."

It was midnight. The sky blanketed in dark cloud, hiding the shining stars and preventing the moon from bathing the Egyptian sands in it's glorious light. As happens sometimes, a moment settled and hovered and remained for much more than a moment. And sound stopped and movement stopped for much, much more than a moment. The silence was so delicate and slow that you could have sliced it with a knife.

Then gradually time awakened again and burst into life. The sound of hooves broke the long lasting silence accompanied by the sound of sand being churned up from its resting place and scattering amongst itself once again. Every now and again, the snort of the horse would occupy what silence was left as it gave every ounce of energy into working for its master.

"Bakura...please be alright." A soft whisper passed through the wind into the ruined village of Kul Elna. The hooves slowed and the soft grunt of a young woman escaped into the dark Egyptian night. The thud of a body landing from a height sounded and the young woman cursed at herself for being so loud. If I am discovered...there's no way of knowing what will happen to me...or him. She thought to herself vividly, eyes clouding over with worry. She had to work fast, otherwise the one she held dearest to her may fade into the shadows.

She was young, about 17 in age. With short, sun-kissed hair which came to just above her shoulders and mysteriously grey eyes. She wore a simple tunic, one of the many things she had stolen from the more well-off women in the Egyptian society, which fit her 5"4 body perfectly. Her feet were bare and her skin was bronze, highlighting her hair and eyes to perfection. Overall, she was one beautiful young lady.

"No...you can't do this to me! I have served you loyally, my lord!"

Deep in the village of Kul Elna, beneath one of the old houses, a young boy was desperately trying to worm his way out of a deep and horrible punishment. Kneeling before a large stone with 7 hollow spaces within it, the young boy was trembling as he realized what he had gotten himself into. This, was Bakura. The young boy whose village was destroyed a good 15 years beforehand, whom had sworn revenge against the Pharaoh at all costs, whom was about to pay the ultimate price for not succeeding against his long hated rival.

"Please reconsider!" Bakura begged, eyes wide in horror and desperation. "It isn't her fault!"

"I have given you enough chances mortal, she is an obstacle."

"No! I wont let you do this, Zorc!"

"You have no choice!"

At this exact moment, a deep purple aura emanated from the dark creature's spirit. Within moments, it was morphed into a purple mass of energy. Each moment passing by caused Bakura's feeling of dread to grow as he heard footsteps from outside.

"Bakura? Are you in there?!" She called from outside.

"No! Do-mph!" He began before shadows covered his mouth to prevent him from warning her. Tears welled in his eyes as he struggled with all his might, seeing her feet...legs...hips and then shoulders...just before the last glimpse of her face he'd ever see.

"Baku-" she managed before the dark aura struck her, her eyes widening and becoming clouded with a dark purple haze. All life left her body as she crumpled to the floor, gone from this world.

"Noooo!" Bakura screamed into the shadow gag, tears rolling down his cheeks as he watched this happen. He felt the gag tug his face towards Zorc and his eyes narrowed into hatred.

"You are forever, my slave of Darkness. Bakura."
