Chapter 20
A Year Later
If someone were to ask me how I got to this point, I would tell them I had no idea. I went from being the quiet girl in her junior year who nobody ever noticed to the senior Queen Bee. I guess you could say that I'm living proof that things can change, even if it's nearly impossible.
I smile as I step into my English class. I take my usual seat next ti Jack. He gives me a playful smile and pecks me o he cheek. I playfully shove him. "Jack! Not in class!" Other students gave me envious looks, while other smiled warmly at us. Jack and I are what most people would consider to be the perfect couple. Obviously that's not true, but we're pretty close.
I'll have to admit, after the night Jack had left me in my bedroom I thought I would never speak to him again. But somehow Grace got us back together She succeeded, obviously.
These days, everybody's changed. Grace has stopped worrying about her social life and started working on her academic one. She's applied for about every school She's hoping for Yale.
Mika has an internship with this major fashion industry, word has it that they're planning on hiring her full time after high school.
Jerry has managed to pick up his grades a lot, and right now his only concern is graduating.
Lindsay spends her days with Heather. The two of them are inseparable. Except this time Lindsay treats her as an actual friend istead of a prop. Lindsay is actually pretty sweet under her shell.
Jack is working towards getting into NYU. He doesn't know what he wants to do yet, but it's always been a dream of his to go there.
As for me, well, I'm working towards the art. I developed a strong passion for acting, singing, and writing. I want to go to AMDA. My audition is next weekend, and I'm a nervous reck. Even if I don't get in, I think I'll still be pretty happy. I'd say my high school years have been a success. I mean sure, it hasn't been the smoothest journey, but I've loved it nonetheless.
I don't what the future will hold for Jack and I or any of my friends. But I know for sure I'll never forget the day he first walked up to me in the Cafeteria. I was reminded if it once again the other day.
I was sitting alone at my old table eating a piece of cake when Jack walked up to me with small smile. He sat next to me in silence. Then, out of no where he shoved my cake down his throat. I glared at him "Jack Brewer, you are going to rue this day."
And then..well I'm sure you can work it out for yourself.
So maybe the girl doesn't always get her Prince Charming, but she can still have her Knight in Rusted Armor. After that, well the rest is history.
A/N: First of all, sorry for not updating sooner. I thought I had already posted this, but apparently not. That's pretty much my only excuse in that department... I'm also sorry that this kind of sucked, but I didn't know how else to finish it.
Anyway, I 'd like to take you all for your wonderful reviews! I'm gonna miss this story!
Until next time!
Byeee!
