Roomies

Epilogue

Disclaimer: I do not own Adventure Time with Fionna and Cake. I only own the story because I made that up with my brain.

20 Years Later

Giggles. That's the first thing that I hear in the morning. Just giggles, little 8 year old giggles coming from my baby girl, Raeah Elizabeth Abadeer the Vampire Princess.

"Daddy!" she yells over to me giggling as she plays with the gumdrops.

Yeah, we're over at Gumball's visiting his highness in anniversary of Fionna's passing. Fionna. Just the thought of her brings tears to my eyes. She died saving the palace of a Godzilla type monster that could vomit poison, just 2 years ago. She was truly a hero, until the very end. I will never forget the life I shared with her. Life. Funny how ironic that makes me feel. I'm undead. Not living, but I was. When I was with her. And now I have my baby girl to look out for. She looks just like her mom, when I look into her eyes I know Fionna's in there smiling back at me. I'm not depressed. I'm not grinning and bearing. I'm still going on as Fionna would want me to. I'm raising our daughter the way I know that she'd be proud of. See, If, I can deal with little kids! I'm happy, even without her I'm happy, because I know that she will never truly leave me. She is still here every time I look at our daughter's face, she is so much like her mother. And just like her mom, I'll always protect her.

"Yes, my princess?" I answer her, floating over.

Her shining cerulean blue eyes gazing up at me in happiness.

"Look! I made a gumdrop castle!" she says excitedly.

I look at it and chuckle, "That you did. It's beautiful, Raeah. Don't you think so, Prince?" I turned my attention to Gumball who's sitting at a table drinking tea.

"Absolutely. Raeah, I do believe you have a talent." he said holding up his cup to her.

She turned to him in awe as her dark brown hair swayed in the air, smiling up at him in excitement.

"Really?! You really think so Uncle Gumball?" she asked kneeling by him.

"Really. You could be an artist." he told her, taking her small grey tinted hand.

"An artist." she said wistfully, her big blue eyes growing in awe.

Then she got a confused look, "Daddy, how do you become an artist?" she asked turning toward me.

"Well, all you really need is a piece of paper and a pencil and let your imagination take hold." Gumball answered her before I could even get an answer out.

She jumped up and ran into the palace yelling to me that she's going to find a pencil and paper. I chuckled after her. My daughter, an artist. Hmm...I like the sound of that.

"Don't be giving her any bad ideas now, pinky." I warned him.

He simply chuckled, "Me? Never. If anything I'd be boring her with math facts. Just like her mother." he chuckled then ended with a sad smile.

"Yeah, I sure do miss her." I told him sorrowfully.

"Me too. But then again, Fionna is never far from us." Gumball said wisely just as Alex came back in getting excited and wondering what to draw.

"That's true, Gummy. That's true." I said with a smile on my face as I watched my daughter's imagination take charge.

"Will you love me when I get all old and wrinkly?"

I chuckled at her, "As long as you love me when I never age."

She turned to me, putting her soft body against mine. "Then I guess, that'll be the definition of forever." she said with a smile, softly kissing my lips.

"Forever? I like the sound of that."
