Sunlight sifted through her curtains, illuminating the small bedroom.
Loki and Darcy lay on Darcy's bed, both not yet awake to the rising morning. Loki lay on his back with his long dark hair splayed on the pillow and his left arm curled around the woman lightly snoring beside him. Darcy had asked him to try out the Midgardian 'pyjamas' that he was currently wearing which consisted of dark green bottoms and a t-shirt embellished with the logo some sort of musical ensemble on it. That is, if AC/DC could be considered a musical ensemble in his opinion. As much as he had attempted to reject the simple dress of Midgardian outerwear, he had to admit, these pyjamas were probably the most comfortable things he had ever worn (though, not that that he would ever tell her that!).
Loki looked at Darcy as she lay sleeping, half on top of him with her chestnut tinted hair fanned out over his rising chest. He closed his eyes again, relaxing in the moment. Loki didn't need to open his eyes to know that it was her arm wrapped around his chest, her chest and stomach pressed to his side, her leg resting comfortably over his, probably thrown haphazardly throughout the night. He could feel her. Sense her presence.
Loki took a deep breath in and pulled her tighter to his side, bringing his right arm to gently rest on her lower back.
It was then that Darcy woke and slowly brushed her fingers with a sort of stiffness across his t-shirt. Loki peeked through the slits of his eyes and studied Darcy's face. A sort of pained expression fell across her face. While her eyes remained closed, her eyebrows furrowed together, and her breathing started to expand.
Just as Loki was about to ask, Darcy suddenly released herself from his grip and gently made her way to the bathroom and locked the door. He heard the routine rustling and faucet sounds in the bathroom, as well as rattling from a bottle of pills. Loki sat up in bed, his forearms propping his upper body.
Darcy shuffled out of the bathroom and lifted the covers to crawl back into bed, lightly pressing Loki's chest to lay back down on the bed and hugged her body against his.
"It's way too early to deal with Mother Nature right now", Darcy mumbled.
Loki replied, "Is everything alright?"
"Mmhmm. Just cramps. Took a pain killer. Should be fine in a bit. Now go back to sleep", Darcy answered, between breaths.
"Hm."
Loki wrapped both hands around her, and reciprocated by pulling her into his body. Darcy closed her eyes in her position underneath Loki's chin. Then, Darcy felt a tingling warmth slowly seep into her skin, starting from Loki's hands on her back.
Darcy inhaled sharply and looked up at Loki in surprise, but his eyes remained closed.
"Shhh", Loki whispered as he softly rubbed her back.
Darcy allowed the warmth to spread from her head to her toes. She noticed, however, the soothing heat concentrating on her abdomen. The gripping pain slowly faded away, and was replaced with the soft warmth instead.
Darcy hummed in content, "Mmm. Thank you, Loki. That feels so much better. They should call you the God of...of...Cramp Healing". Darcy smiled and laughed at the lack of her early-morning-wit. She brought her lips up to his and kissed him, tracing her fingers up along his neck.
Loki returned her kiss, pressing his lips tenderly against hers. He grinned at her obscure title for him, and looked into her eyes.
"I'll be anything for you, Darcy."
