A/N: Oh my god! A new update! Finally! XD

I'm really sorry for the long wait... I feel ashamed... but I hope you enjoy this little chapter at least~

Hans was in a sour mood. His superiors told him that he'll get a new important partner from America, only because he could speak English fluently. Like he would believe that! They just wanted to punish him for that "weapons fiasco"! It wasn't his fault that the others weren't able to build his gun after his plan and in the end ended up blowing up the whole weapons lab! And now they gave him a new teammate as punishment.

Didn't they know that he preferred working alone? The puffin didn't want to work with a complete stranger! Who knew what that guy was up to?

Well, the Dane will find out soon enough, now he had to prepare his partner's new room, which meant he had to share his room with the newbie. Hans place already had two beds in the bedroom but till now he was able to avoid letting someone else live with him. The puffin wants his privacy after all.

"Hey Hans! Ready to meet your new roommate?" another puffin exclaimed mockingly, peeking into the other's room. Hans stopped preparing everything to turn around and address that nuisance.

"Of course! I'm sooo happy to share my place with a guy I've never met before." Hans said in a sarcastic tone.

"Oh come on, don't be such a pessimist! Who knows, maybe you like the new guy?" the other puffin replied.

"Yeah, yeah! Whatever." Hans answered, passing the other puffin and walking to the docks, where he was supposed to meet the new soldier.

Skipper was nervous; this was his first mission in such a faraway land and he was all on his own. Sure he gets a new teammate and commander in Denmark but he knew nothing about said persons. The only reason why they sent him was because he could speak German, even though German and Danish are two completely different languages but his Chiefs said "It will do". The penguin hoped that his new colleague at least knows English.

"We're here! You ready small penguin?" asked one of the other birds that were with him on the ship.

The penguin swirled around to glare at the one who just insulted his height.

"I'M NOT SMALL YOU-! I-I mean, who are you?" Skipper screeched enraged but quickly caught himself as he saw the Albatross, the guy in front of him could be one of his superiors after all.

"Heh, seems like someone has issues with his height, sorry kid. I'm Sergeant Harrison and I actually just wanted to tell you that we have arrived. You haven't moved nor said a thing since we docked, thought I let you snap out of it." said the Albatross.

The penguin hastily saluted and blurred out an apology.

"I-I-I'm sorry, Sir! I was in thoughts!"

A female bird was passing by as he stuttered out his words and stopped in her tracks at that.

She put her wing on the small soldier's shoulder in a reassuring motion and then said in a heavy French accent.

"Calm down, mon petite soldat."

That's all she said. She just let out a small chuckle after she saw the penguin's flushed expression and then went on her way.

Skipper looked back to the Albatross, only to see that he was also saluting now and looked kinda scared too.

"W-who was that?" the cute private asked his opponent uncertainly.

"Y-you don't know?! That was her. General Chloé Ledoux. A Very violent, very strict and also very strange black-throated loon! She's the horror! I heard that she once has broken her teammate's wing because he didn't show up on time! Just wish that you won't meet her too often!" Harrison answered fearful.

"GENERAL!? Oh god! I didn't salute to her! What if she tells this her higher ups?! I'M SCREWED! SO SCREWED!" the penguin started to rant to himself, already imagining the worst happening to him.

Skipper then felt the albatross put his wing on his head and heard him say in a monotone voice

"Well… Yes, you're screwed."

The private glared at the others stern look before he burst out angrily.

"THAT DOESN'T HELP AT ALL!"

"I'm just honest. Anyway, I better get going before I'm screwed too. It was nice knowing you young private." The sergeant said before walking towards the exit.

Skipper stared after the bird before he got out too slowly; looking around in awe once he saw the big docks, so many different birds being all around. He began to wander around a bit, taking in everything with big interest as it was his first time being in a different place than home. But out of this 'wandering around a bit' became almost more than half an hour and the penguin was actually supposed to meet his new comrades right away and only as he heard a bell of a church announce it's time snapped Skipper out of it.

"…Bell?... GAH! I'M SUPPOSED TO MEET MY SUPERIORS!" the private screamed loudly and dashed back to where he came from hastily and was soon able to see a lot birds that seemed to wait for someone (probably him) at a small footbridge.

Skipper ran as fast as he could and was close to reaching his destination as suddenly from behind some freight boxes another bird appeared, making it unable for the private to stop in time and collide with him. "WATCH OUT! UFF-"

"GAH!"

Both the birds groaned out in pain and Skipper slowly lifted himself up after some time, feeling quite stupid to run into someone else like this.

"God!... Can't you watch where you're going you idi-" the other bird started but suddenly stopped himself.

"I-I'm sorry! I didn't see you and as I wanted to stop it was already too la-" Skipper wanted to apologize but too stopped as he looked into two golden eyes that took away his breath, those two orbs shining like the sun. "….I… S-sorry… I-I'm Skipper by the way…"

"Skipper… really?.. I'm Hans…" the puffin replied, he too staring into the penguin's ocean blue eyes like in trance and not able to tear them away.

"Hello… Hans…"

"Hey… Skipper…"

"Are you two DONE now?!" A sudden loud voice cut into their little dreamworld, making them both look away embarrassed and quickly get up. "Yes General Evans…" Hans replied in a monotone voice, keeping to look away.

"Good. And I suppose you are Private Skipper… the penguin from America?" the general asked the younger bird which flinched very slightly and looked up into the eyes of a big sea eagle a bit scared. "Y-yes I am… Excuse me for being late Sir… I got lost…"

The predator gave him a stern look but waved it off. "I'll forget this incident for now as you really just arrived but next time stick close to your other comrades is that clear?"

"Yes Sir.." Skipper answered with a respectful salute.

"Good. I'll make this short now as the most birds here want to head home and you already wasted enough of our time with waiting for you." Evans glared at the penguin AND puffin, though Hans only snickered softly which didn't make the general any happier. "Anyway! You already now met Lieutenant Hans here." The bird pointed to the puffin beside him and received a nod from the private. "He'll be your roommate and most of the time your mentor. He'll show you everything that you need to know and accompany you all the time. Understood?"

Skipper stared again at the handsome puffin briefly before nodding and looking up with a smile to the general. "Yes, understood!"

"Great! Then we're done here for now. You'll meet your Commander tomorrow at 0600." Evans said and with that went off, all the other birds around following suit and left the two new roommates by themselves.

"…Sooo… Skipper… Ready to see where you're staying?" Hans asked after some time, scratching nervously his head as he took in the penguin's nice looks. Skipper blushed a little but nodded and the puffin hastily turned around and started to lead the way, the penguin following obediently.

And all the young private could think while they went to their room was that this was the most handsome bird he had ever seen.
