So. Hi. Long time since the last update? Try not to hate me too much. I made a long chapter for you all. Hope you enjoy it. Thank you to all my reviewers and anyone who favourites or follows this story. Hope you enjoy.
-Few hours previously Roseto's point of view-
The ground and dirt flew every where as I forced my feet down and crouched as I stared at the thick red liquid still covering my palms and fingers. I had been hunting for food. Letting the beast out had almost become a new tradition now for me. Hunting down people who should die... well it was better than the other option. My body had begun to reject any source of normal food.
Only the hunger for humans remained with me.
But right now?
Oh god I could smell it... The scent set so heavily within me that it was impossible to ignore. I wanted it. I need it... I needed to drink it! I needed to eat!
With a feral snarl I shoved my hand to my mouth and began licking at any expanse of the crimson fluid I could get. I was desperate and yet disgusted by the lack of control or will I had any more. The disgusting need to have any amount of blood or meat that I could get.
I have never been so sick of myself in my entire life. Having to grow up naked in a cell in front of the eyes of scientists who used me for their will? Nope. Nothing compared to the disgust of having to live with the animal desire to kill.
It wasn't until I had lapped up every bit of the blood I could get from my hands, I realised that I was circled by a group of teenage boys who looked at me with a mix of fear and yet apprehension. "He must be one of those mad ones from the asylum!" One boy smirked. He was dressed in a black waist jacket and purple shirt with some ordinary jeans. The others were dressed similarly; leather jeans, jackets, winter coats. They all were prepared for the large winter which had come down into this mere forest area. Me on the other hand...Having to travel from New York every day to find some secluded area where I could feed. Looking for anything that I could hunt and devour. My heart almost splitting as my body was struggling even further. Spending mornings hunting, afternoons walking through New York in search for anything that may just help me get through into Weyland company.
These long mornings though just never seemed to come to an end. Every day running past the winding expanse of everything around me, I would closed my eyes and feel the thick energies running through me. It just seemed to hang in the air. The scents, the feeling of warmth. Whether it was a human or Xeno thing, I couldn't be entirely sure. The warm, ancient guardians of the forest. The ever changing tunes of the crystal creek rivers which played for his ears and the clarity of the blue skies above him. The blur of days he had watched as the air brushed through the cherry blossom trees that his brother had planted a few days before hand of his death. Now they were already fully grown with full and wild branches of the warmest pink blossom. So absolutely beautiful and comforting in this still strange place which I had soon become scared and liked to call home. The thick and dark of the tree trunks which had sunk their roots in deeply after feeding on a daily dose of rainfall, sun, love and care. How much longer could I spend here without calling it truly home?
But first I had to-
"Hurry up. It's bleeding cold." A voice growled.
Was there a breeze? I hadn't noticed any more.
I could feel the wind against my skin... but it wasn't cold. It didn't sting like it used to. It didn't set in my bones any more.
What set in me was the over powering scent of their blood and bodies. I could feel my teeth grinding together as I was getting excited to lunge forward and rip them apart. I wanted to sink my teeth into their neck so hard and drink... drink and never stop. To drain every single drop out of them... that's all that was important. To rip them apart and just feast on everything that they were. "What happened to your clothes freak." The leader smirked and adjusted his waist jacket as he slowly walked towards me taking in the sight of my bare form. My tail was still hidden and blended in with the dirt which covered my form almost completely.
I tended not to wear clothes when I hunted and just let the body armour of my own internal beast take over so I could complete the beast side and sink into the back of my mind not to watch the horrors which would unfold. Plus, why would I want to get a brand new suit filthy?
"A cute body like that... Those asylum people mustn't know what to do with themselves." He leaned in close and breathed onto my neck.
I could feel his warmth... It was like a fire. Oh I wanted to reach out and hold it... to rip it apart and scream.
But the warmth came with a price.
The pain and burning in my throat flared as did the hunger in my stomach.
"How about... I show you something that they can't."He began to slowly reach down to touch me.
The side of my mouth turned up in a grin.
"How about. I show you. Something. They can't." The boy paused as I had lent in closer and let my breath brush across his ear. I glanced around to the others as they finally saw my eyes. The black spreading across them like ink.
"What the fuck!"
But it was too late.
I grabbed the boy by his neck and slammed his face first down into the ground. Keeping him pinned. My foot deeply embedded in the back of his thigh.
I slowly lifted the back of his shirt and waist coat before pulling them over his head, making sure I was none the less delicate with him. He wouldn't have been with me. Make good on your promise. The voice whispered in my head again.
And I did.
My mouth slammed down half way down his spine and the boy screamed out in agony as my teeth tore through the skin savagely as I twisted my head back and forth trying to sink my face down further. "GET HIM OFF ME! HELP ME! GET HIM OFF ME!" The boy roared in agony. His legs and arms flailed about as though he was like a fish pulled out of water.
I pulled back slightly and dove my hand into the open gap, gripping his spine tightly.
The boy's scream changed to a gurgle as though his voice couldn't compete with the pain and had simply given out instead of compete with trying to express the agony.
A grin moved along my mouth as I snapped away a chunk and examined the joint of bones in my hand. The way such a thin line of connected nerves held the individual pieces of bone together. "They can't show you that." I whispered as his legs became completely still. His voice gave out and became simply the struggle of intakes of breath. His eyes just shook visibly as he looked at the extract of his spine. The blood was spurting out of his back now. "Now shut up." I whispered softly and ran hand down the bare of his back. Racking down viciously as they dug beneath the surface of the skin of his lean and strong form. "I'm fucking hungry." My mouth slammed down over the open wound and I inhaled deeply as the liquid flooded through me and my teeth tore away anything I could get at.
There was no ounce of control left in me... and-
I liked it.
I pulled back taking an unnecessary breath as my eyes rolled back slightly in my head. The sweet taste of the meat was driving me crazy.
The feeling... was euphoric. It was impossible to describe the rush of power that came with drinking and eating.
The others however were still planted there, the sight before them crippling them with fear. They couldn't run away. Their minds were shutting down with the shock that was becoming them.
They were just there for me to devour now. "Go to sleep now." I purred to the boy beneath me, blinked a few times as he was left to die. "How about I help." A sick and twisted smile slowly spread across my face as my eyes gleamed with darkness.
The others fell to the ground in horror as my foot came down slowly on the boy's head. He couldn't even scream as his head became nothing more that flattened chunks of bone and flesh in the dirt. The best way to have described it was like when you set a sledge hammer onto a watermelon which would explode.
I gave a soft smile to the others. "Now... whose next."
hey all just stared at me unsure what to do next.
I smirked. "You." I held out my hand and pointed to one boy who had been grinning at first and looking as though he was ready to join in with the other. "Come here." I whispered softly.
He paled and shook his head while I let out a sigh. "Sorry... what I meant to say was..."
I flexed my fingers and watched as his legs began to slowly drag his body forward towards me. "Come. Here."
He let out screams to...
Until my teeth plunged in his chest.
This was going to take a while.
I shook my head with a sigh. "Well." I clapped my hands together which made a sickening squelching sound from the blood which was coating my palms.
-Break-
I looked at myself and sighed as I pulled the leather jeans up. "Perfect fit." I kicked a loose limb of one of the boys out of the way while I slowly walked them in. My eyes looked away from the detached arm as it rolled away and back to the corpse. "Kind of handy that they were wearing such good quality clothing." I mumbled to no one in particular. They framed me quite well... this new body. It was amazing. My human heart could handle this type of life style. When I was calm and at peace, a full stomach and tranquil beast inside me. Less stress meant less chance of a heart attack... but with the beast being so much like this. It meant I had less time to give my heart a break and more time for the beast to keep killing us... I would have to figure out some way to keep it caged.
Because if the beast kept breaking out... I wouldn't make it out to the end of this week.
I would be as dead as the boys now at my feet. "Shame." I looked down at the face of the last boy I had attacked. I hadn't drained him completely or ripped him apart... there was something about him that seemed to just draw me. But now he clutched his leg where I had bitten. He seemed to begin to writhe and convulse as though something was burning through him. "So that's how it works." I said casually while pulling the first boy's purple shirt and waist coat on. "It's missing something."
Try the matching neck scarf.
I glanced over to where my own reflection stood lent on a tree. Feeling full yet? It's black eyes were nothing less than overjoyed.
"I never will." I decided quite quickly.
Not freaking out any more?
"You said if I drank and ate... I'd calm slightly." The boy on the floor glanced at me. He tried to form words but finally gave in as he screamed and couldn't take it any more.
See. Trust in me. Follow your urges. Live. Kill. Survive and everything will be al'right. His voice seemed to course through me.
"What about him?" I whispered to no one in particular.
I looked at the reflection created from my mind. The god damn beast who I wish would die. "I think... I need to go sort a few things out." I decided quite quickly as I looked down at the boy.
Kill him or change him. It agreed.
"Well... Hello honey." I smirked as I knelt down and held his gaze.
His eyes were a strange pair. One was turquoise and the other was a deep and lush brown. So sad, so full of fear... "P-Please." The boy whimpered as he began to push himself back away from me. It was as though my body was radiating an aura which burnt him. He was terrified of me. Completely and utterly. "I didn't want to! They made me!"
I listened close to the sound of his heart. It was too frantic to be made sense of while he was in such a state like he was at that moment. For god's sake. I thought in my mind viciously as I imagined a thousand things I'd rather be doing that this right now.
"Shut up!" I snarled and watched him whimper as he pushed himself back up against the tree. "I'm giving you one chance to keep your life, now shut up and calm down otherwise I promise I will slit your throat, right here, right now!" I growled and watched him slam his mouth shut. His pale skin glinted in the early morning light. His hair was a sprawl of dirt and mess which was cut short on the sides and around the front. It was a sweet caramel colour in it's full glow. His lips were the slightly shade of a peachy pink. His figure was lean but strong muscled. "Breathe." I changed my voice instantly and watched his face change slightly as my eyes settled back to their calm human colour. The sky blue colour stared deeply into his as I tilted my head and blinked softly before half closing my eyes and letting out a soft and calm breath. "In through the mouth." I purred and watched him begin to copy me cautiously and with a great amount of confusion. "Good." I nodded and slowly began to lean forward slightly. "Now repeat your last statement." I stated before closing my eyes in complete and utter focus.
A small trick I had picked up after doing a bit of studying.
I heard him take his last and long breath. "I didn't want to come here." He finally said quietly in an almost broken tone. His voice was soft and strained. "They forced me to come here."
"Why." I whispered as I listened to the soothing and smooth sound of his heartbeat.
"Because what they were just about to do to you... they were going to do to me." He whispered almost brokenly and I intently listened to his heart as closely as possible.
"Come here." I murmured and grabbed his leg dragging him closer to me as I leaned down and ripped the leg of his trousers open to expose where I had bitten him in an intense beast anger.
"D-Don't kill me!"
"I'm not going to you idiot." I murmured.
Looking at the bite it didn't seem to bad at first. There were a few shards of bark embedded deeply inside of it. A few specks of my blood which must have got through from my split knuckles. His leg tensed as I cupped his thigh and gently ran my fingers over the flushed skin which looked a bit infected. It wasn't going to do any better if he got ill. But the bones were a whole other problem. It seemed as though he had broken it on the wall... no sighs of puncturing the outside but it was have to be pushed back into place if what I had planned was going to work.
He looked at me cautiously for a moment as though he seemed worried that I still might lunge and kill him. "This won't hurt a bit." I smiled and watched him ease up before I slammed my fist down and quickly pushed the bone back into place, holding it in that position as he screamed out loudly.
"You said it wouldn't hurt!" He screamed as his body writhed with pain.
"I lied." I shrugged simply and went back to work at looking for what I was dealing with. It seemed pretty simple enough. The wound looked as though it was still quite deep... maybe just a bit deeper to get to the bone. That was all. Seemed simple enough now that I had a level head and didn't want to rip his throat out. "Okay." I nodded and lowered my gaze back down to what was in front of me.
Had I looked up at that point, I would have seen his cheeks burning with a bright pink blush as I leaned down and gently picked out the splinter of wood before putting my mouth over the wound and gently sucking my blood and any bits of infection out. Suck, spit, repeat. I thought over and over as I tried to think of anything else than the taste my his blood or the skin as my tongue glided over the puncture bites. "There... now just maybe... hold still. This may sting a bit." I looked up to him to see him compose his face as quickly as he could. "G-Go ahead." He mumbled. What was his deal?
Little runt... shouldn't he be happy that we didn't kill him? A voice nagged in my head and I couldn't help but roll my eyes in response.
"Okay. Just. Try and relax." I sighed as I pushed my mouth down and slowly with as much delicacy as possible ran my tongue over the wound before closing my eyes and breathing softly onto it while keeping it cupped by my mouth. I had to think with a clear head now or this may go completely wrong.
I let my eyes turn ink black as my teeth bit down slightly harder, moving into the same position they had first bit him with. Just slightly further so there was a very tiny hole puncture which led to the bone while the heavy liquid on my tongue began to swab over the bites filling in any open expanse or gap. I had to remember what I was dealing with here. To much and his leg would rupture from the sheer expanse. Too little and it would do nothing but leave him in pain and make him probably worse off.
I tried to ignore the soft escapes of sighs from the boy and the murmurs or groans.
With one last bit of my attention I smoothed out the liquid with a gently swab of my tongue before I pulled back and nodded at the new black covered that had settled over his leg and slowly dripped around it in the shape of a serpent which was curled in on itself. Now it had been exposed to the air, I watched it begin to rapidly rise slightly into a thick set casing, like a plaster set bandage from a hospital. The boy let out a soft sight and rolled his eyes back into his head and it was obvious the pain was fleeting from his body. You really have learned how to do that hive casting quite well... the others would love to have you in the hive.
"Well the others can shove it." I growled quietly. "But when you crash out of an air plane, and you're bleeding out. You learn quite quickly."
"Uh... who are you talking to?" The boy wondered as he moved his leg and tested it.
"No one in important."
I'm you!
"That's why I said it was no one important." I sighed and ran a hand over my face. "Right... I need to get back to New York for..." I ran over to the tree where I stashed my ordinary clothed and pulled out a watch to check the time. "For... ten minutes ago. Great." I murmured.
"Maybe I can help you?" The boy shuffled his feet slightly... honestly who the hell was he? He looked about sixteen. Wearing similar clothing to me! A shirt that read; lock up your hearts. And-
"My name is Sammy Yutani." He smiled and gently rose to his feet as I was frozen in mid thought. "Maybe I can help you- don't worry, I won't tell anyone your secret. After all, you technically just saved me." He looked over to the pile of corpses with a long sad look. "The company will cover up the bodies. It will be as if they never existed." He said it so it sounded as though he was heart broken by the idea... and I think he actually was. He hated the power that came with his name...
But right there and then at that moment. I fucking loved it.
"My father is away currently for a couple of days on a business campaign in the Egyptian desert." He sighed and I had to resist the urge to smile ear from ear as I watched this boy look at me with a sad longing. All I had to do now was figure out some sly way to get myself into the building- "Maybe you could come to the building. I could get those wounds cleaned up for you... and we can have a chat. A drink on me?" The boy suggested and I felt the beast in my mind howl with excitement. No. We have to play this calm. This is delicate. This can make or break, anything that we do.
"I'm.. not sure." I put worry forward onto my impassive face. "I mean... I normally stick to the forests." I looked around slowly as I took in the surroundings deeply. "Plus... I have work to do and you will just get in the way."
"Please." The boy pleaded quietly. "It's just..." He paused again. That look in his eyes. The deep look that was hidden behind the physical appearance and went deeper into his mind. He's afraid. Me and my beast side thought at the same was the look that I had felt all s often whenever I was back in that prison cell. When the scientists would come and try to sedate me to take my health status. To get readings of my blood pressure, to experiment with how far I was adapting to a hive life... that was when I had that look that this boy had. Afraid of being alone. I thought. "Okay. Fine." I pushed for a smile inwardly. What... what the hell are you doing? I wasn't sure who that thought came from... me or my beast. I was pretty much scared to find out. "Lead the way." I smiled and watched him slowly begin to rise. "It's just this-"
He yelped and stumbled as his leg gave out and he fell forward into my arms. His hair falling over his eyes as he staggered for breath slightly. "Hey. It's a cast. Not a miracle cure. You have to take it carefully." I growled angry and looked down to check the cast on his calf and front of his leg for any cracks or damaged, but it seemed to have held firm.
Sammy slowly looked up at me and held onto my arms carefully as he steadied himself out. "I'm good." He whimpered and I shook my head. No he wasn't. He needed a bit longer for the cast to set in and set around his bones to stitch the fibres back together. "Do you prefer front of back." I asked bluntly.
"Excuse me?" He blushed brightly as his face turned crimson.
"Back it is." I quickly crouched and lifted him onto my back. What the hell else did he think I had meant? "Watch out for my tail... it may be a bit sharp." I shrugged impassively as he pointed the direction towards the main roads.
You just... how did you... You've got the brat! Force him to tell you what his bastard father's plans are!
Shut it! My thoughts snarled in response. There were two ways to do this. One meant rushing it and only finding out about Weyland.
I grinned.
The other way meant that I found out about his entire company and how it was working on a current day to day base. Every bit of information about locations and how it would sustain productions.
Weyland Yutani? I smirked as Sammy couldn't see my face while I carried him along the main road. The end, begins now.
