Bloodbender of the FullMoon

Dear reader,

You may think that such a world, the one I'm about to describe, doesn't exist and that this entry, or I should say saga, is a base of fiction. There's been a link to my world and the world of bending. A link that only certain people carried, because through the ages of time, there has been a crossover between the worlds. Ignorance if you don't listen to my tale, for I have seen the good, as well as the evil and the scale of balance and the unbalance. As an old woman, I shall be retelling my tale as a young teenage girl and the harsh road I had endured, but with strength to overcome it. This is my saga.

-Air-

My morning alarm, gave the early annoying 'beeps' and the daily morning newscast, with the illusion of happiness in their voices, when really they wanted to be lying in bed and soak the day away. As such, as I am doing, laying under the warm comforters all snug with no intention to get up at and greet the daylight. My eyes were tightly sealed in the hope the beeping has been just part of a dream and it will cease to exist. After lying under my comforter, I had enough of this fraternal beeping and slammed my hand on the off button. The thought of sleeping late in the afternoon is now just a distant memory. I cracked my knuckles in the process of yanking off my top layer by squeezing the fabric, it was almost like a Band-Aid being pulled from the skin.

I am not a morning person, if I had stayed up the night before, in which case I had. I walked to the bathroom and started the process of getting ready for the day. I knew why my alarm had gone off, "I hate Mondays,"

The night before I had really had thought I had one more day of my weekend. I grumpily thought about the joy of sleeping in and how I was going to go about the day. Sure, I can fake sick like most teenagers do, but it be missing out on the one thing in life I enjoyed most, being on the swim team. That is the only reason why I get up and go to school, if I had my way, I would just skip school entirely and stay on the swim team. It wasn't the learning that I dislike, or the math. I really enjoy math along with art, history, and English, I wanted to get good grades to stay on the swim team and go to a university with a full scholarship.

No, it was the people who I couldn't stand, a bunch of bullies that have no self-esteem and are show-offs. Try to push them far from my mind as I swiftly finished getting ready. I gouged my underarms with deodorant, knowing that it was going to be hot today, and I didn't want to smell like BO.

Which led me to the conclusion… when was it not hot in Hawaii?

I brushed through my curly gold hair, barely listening to the weather report for today as I did so, my fingers swiftly braided my hair allowing it hang at the base of my neck. I had no problem picking out what I want to wear I slipped my bathing suit on first before pulling shorts that went down to my knees and a 3 inch strap tank top. I sat down and slipped on my shoes tying them tightly.

I listened for my dad to see if he was awake yet. Slipped out of my room and walked down the hall to my father's bedroom. I want to go to jiggle the knob, but on the door, sat a yellow sticky that was addressed to me in sloppy handwriting.

Will be out of town for the next two weeks for business, no friends over, and stay out of my office.

P.S. There's credit card, on the counter that will will pay for groceries and/or necessities. Nothing else.

Your Father

I squinted at the note with frustration. My father, Ryu Brag, always left town for his work in foreign countries. I do not know what he does exactly, but whatever it is, it pays well, but he abandons home alone without telling me. I am living with my father temporarily, every year or so, my mom, Grace, would switch me and my sister on a yearly basis with my dad. I only see my sister, two to three months out of the year. It has been this way ever since my parents separated when I was only nine, and my baby sister, Abigail, who was five at the time.

I don't exactly have a good and a common ground relationship with my father, unlike most girls have with their father. Ryu acknowledges that I lived at his house and feeds me, or whenever I needed something he just give me the cash for it and dropped me off in town. When I had contact with mom, and she had asked me how I've been, I would apply that things are usually quiet, and I get along with my dad. I don't tell her about the awkward atmosphere, or the frequent business trips he took. Though, I have to say it was the lonely around here time to time.

I went down to the kitchen and I made myself a bowl of cereal. I had pushed myself onto the counter to enjoy my bowl of cereal as I stared off into space. The only noise in the house was the sound of my shooting and my light breathing. I focused my eyes onto the mirror that was set in the dining room as decoration and noticed my reflection. I was neither pretty or ugly, though I had to look like I came from the Netherlands with my pale skin and curly blonde hair. Though what really stood out was the color of my which were a Golden-Brown. I finished my breakfast in peace before I gathered my things and headed out the door, not before I grabbed a charm bracelet.

School was nothing special throughout the day as it usually was. Before I knew it, I was sitting in English class, my last class of the day, I waited anxiously looking at the clock. My English teacher, Mr. Brooke, was giving a lecture on the play, Romeo and Juliet. I laid back, relaxed, looking calm and collected. I waited for the bell to ring and it seemed to be seconds away. Clicking my pen seem to make the time go faster before a paper ball hit me in the back of the head. I jerked my head around to see who threw it, a group of kids giggle and snicker, I glared at work turning back. Another paper ball hit my head, I growled and face them again, in the group was a girl. The girl's name was Sabrina, and she is the worst person I had ever met.

At last the school bell rung throughout the halls and in classrooms. I stood up and gathered my books in hand and walked out the classroom door with the rest of the class. I punched my locker, and applied the combination lock. I stood there trying to jerk at my lock to open, it was an old model, with much success I was able to get it to open and placed my school books. I reached the grabbed my book back, slipping it onto my back.

"Hey Aurora," a silky voice greeted me over my shoulder. I turned my head and greeted a pair of dark blue, almost purple, eyes. Sabrina stood right in front of the with a sly smirk. This girl has the whole school in her palm of her hand, she has only been here for a month, she already has control of the whole school and everyone in it. No one knew where she came, but she has been trouble for me from the start.

"It's Aura," I told her giving a quick roll of my eyes. "I don't have time for your bull, Sabrina, I have swim practice." I told her slamming my locker shut, locking it.

"Come on, stay a while," Sabrina said.

I shoved past her and her friends as I left the emptying halls.

I had felt these guys follow me to all the way to the YMCA where we held our local practice that was off campus. I was able to see my teammates enter the building, some of them turned my way and saw that I was being followed and harass, but choose to ignore it. I guess they didn't want to be targets of Sabrina as well. They picked up speed as closed in behind me making jokes about me.

I just wanted to get to the water and lose myself. I love the water and it was my escape from reality and my sanctuary.

The group of bullies numbers doubled as I crossed the street where the YMCA stood. I picked up speed for my hair stood up on the back of my neck, feeling them ganging up on me. I went to go open the door, but two more kids blocked the entrance. I tried to wiggle my way past him, but the two boys pushed me down.

Sabrina stepped forward calmly and grabbed my wrist. "Hey!" I shouted struggling trying to rip my hand away.

"What a lovely charm bracelet," Sabrina commented, "I wonder how much it costs?"

She rips my bracelet off and wave it in front of my face with a gleaming expression. "Want it back? Then come and get it!" She teases so I could chase after her, but two of her henchmen gave a quick yank to my collar and gave a good, solid hard punch to the gut. They have begun to follow after Sabrina, leaving me to catch my breath.

I collapsed to my knees and groaned watching them run down the street. It took me a moment to get myself back together before getting up and chasing after them.

I chase Sabrina, she was in sight of me. I had chased her all the way from the YMCA to an empty construction site, where new homes were being built for the rich. I was completely lost following Sabrina trail, which was the only thing I was certain of. I follow Sabrina to an empty house that was almost finished, when I tripped over a wire and landed on my face.

I tried to catch myself, but I was laying down on the ground. Two of the boys came up behind me and grabbed my hands.

Sabrina pulled out my bracelet and dangled it in front of my face before giving a nod to one of the boys."Remember where I told you to put her after you're done." My eyes widen after she said that.

I was scared they might want something more then I wanted to give. "No, don't!"

I took a hit to my jaw and flew to the ground. My head had banged hard onto the concert flooring, causing the world to spin. I could hear them laughing as they stood over me and I passed out.
