Chapter 1

"He's gone... my baby is gone. He's gone!" Molly Weasly sobbed as her husband held her in his arms. They looked at their son Fred's grave. Unbeknown to them, Fred was a few feet away, listening to every word they said. He wanted to go up to them, but he couldn't. He didn't want to hurt them.

"It hurts, doesn't it?" A familiar voice said. Fred turned around, but saw no one. He sighed as he walked away. That was only a year ago...

PRESENT TIME

"Fred would want us to be happy, right?" Ginny confronted her depressed family, "I hate it that he died so young, but we can't mourn for him forever. It's so... depressing. He would want us to move on, but still keep him in our hearts." Fred smiled. Just because he was dead, didn't mean that was any less true.

"It gets better." Fred jumped when he heard someone talk. Turning around, he whipped out his wand, only to face a surprised Jackie. She had changed a bit. Her white hair was shorter, falling to her shoulders, barely brushing them, she wore a blue hoodie, brown leather breeches with darker colored leather on her calves. She also seemed to be a bit more... brighter. Fred smiled apologetically.

"Did it get better for you?" He asked instead. Jackie nodded and floated over to him.

"The Moon chose you. Ever hear of April Fools?" Fred nodded, "You're its new spirit. Fred Weasly, King of Fools." Fred frowned at the title, he would rather be king of Pranks. Not fools.

"You said you would come back." Jackie nodded and took his hand gently in her own. "I never got to say goodbye."

"I told you. It wasn't goodbye, it was-"

"Hello." Both whispered. Fred took one last look at his grieving family,before letting Jackie take him away.
