Chapter 7

They arrived back onto the jolly roger after what seemed like a pointless waste of a journey. As soon as they were back on deck Hook went back to ordering his crew about, steering the ship and drinking rum leaving Emma with nothing to do awkwardly at the side lines staring around as the rest of Hook's pirates went on with their daily routine.

To make matters worse the clothes Emma was wearing were extremely uncomftably and not to mention itchy and she couldn't wait to get home and change into her own clothes.

"Sorry for you wasted journey Swan" Hook said startling her and she realized he was talking to her, having not gotten used to the name Swan yet.

"Our wasted journey" Emma reminded him taking a deep sigh "I'm sorry too for wasting your time and asking you to come along"

"Not a waste of my time, you still need to take me to Rumplestilskin"

Emma rolled her eyes crossing her arms over her chest, she was too tired to fight with Hook about it but the very thought of seeing Rumplestilskin again after a pointless journey that he set her on just set her teeth on edge.

"Ok" She mumbled tiredly "But as soon as we get to his castle, I'm leaving"

"Not going to demand where this item you were meant to achieve is?" Hook asked her raising an eyebrow at her

Emma took a deep breath in and leant against the ship staring far out to sea, the calmness of the sea somehow causing Emma to feel much more relaxed "To be honest I couldn't care less where it is, I just want to go home"

"To your family" Hook said offering her a bottle of rum and Emma by some means knew he understood.

"To my family" She agreed with him, smiling at the thought as she took the bottle of him and took a swig at it, the burning sensation hitting her tongue and throat instantly.

The ship gave a huge shake as the sea rocked against it suddenly and Hook was forced to cling onto the ship with his Hook to stay on his feet whilst Emma crashed into him and half of his crew fell off their feet.

"What the hell was that!" Emma cried pushing herself away from Hook red in the faced, pretending she hadn't just fallen flat into him (because that would have been too embarrassing)

Hook stared out to sea as the waves began crashing against the ship. The air becoming cold "I have no idea, perhaps mermaids" Hook replied dropping his bottle of rum and running up to the helm as Emma clung to some rope as splashes of water made their way up onto the ship's deck.

Emma looked over at the side of the ship to see if their were any mermaids hitting the boat but regretted the decision immediately as she almost tripped and fell in, her grip on the rope becoming stronger giving her rope burn. She cursed under her breath.

"Hook!" Emma shouted having to raise her voice for him to hear her "There isn't any mermaids"

"Then either the sea has taken a malicious turn" He yelled back down to her struggling to keep a heavy hand on hook on the wheel "Or-"

"Or its magic" Emma finished his sentence realizing just then what was happening. Regina. Regina had caused this.

She'd obviously found her or knew she was somewhere out at sea, why else would the waves be crashing against them like this.

"Bloody hell!" One of the crew yelled out followed by a great amount of screaming which pulled Emma straight out of her day dream.

A massive wave was dangerously coming towards them, triple the size of the ship and would most probably be able to pull the Jolly Roger down under.

Emma's heart rate increased, she wanted to faint knowing she'd caused this suffering on these Pirates, who (though she'd never admit it) didn't deserve it.

"Brace yourselves" Hook ordered his crew as he fought with the wheel, turning the ship as far away from the wave as he could his eyes going wide as the wave came closer.

Emma moved away from the edge (not trusting herself to stay onboard if the ship was to jolt) and grabbed hold of some rope, tying her hand around it and began to pray that the ship could withstand such a force.

It all happened in a matter of seconds, Hook moved away from the wheel realizing it was doing no good and ran over to Emma tying the rope around her properly and for the first time since they met Emma accepted his help.

That was when the wave spilled over them; Emma closed her eyes waiting for the inevitable listening to the crashing of the wave as it made its way onto deck, the screams of the crew followed by the silence as water splashed onto all of them and their yells was washed away with the water.

Emma tried her hardest to keep a firm grip on the rope, her hands burning for some release.

She opened her eyes finally, the sky had turned lighter and the sea began to calm again, the large wave having disappeared from sight.

She allowed herself to smile and looked around for hook but with a beat of her heart he was no where in sight.

"Hook!" She called out, looking around the ship for him and with a breath of relive she saw him across the ship helping Mr Smee up from the floor of the deck.

"Yes love" He replied back startled by her sudden yell "Are you alright? Quite the wave that was lass"

All Emma could do was nod, too shocked at what had happened to speak and the slight urge to throw up came upon her. After making sure Mr Smee was up on his feet Hook came over to her a twinkle of concern in his eyes.

"Are you sure your alright, you've gone all pale" Hook said raising an eyebrow "Perhaps you should lie down for a little while"

"I'm fine" Emma mumbled pulling away from him "Lets just get this whole Rumplestilskin thing over and done with, ok?"

"As you wish"

~*don't trust pirates*~

Regina smiled smugly staring out at the oceans on the harbour she was at, magic souring through her as the waves began to calm in front of her

Emma was unlikely to survive that and even if she did, Regina had a backup plan.

"The evil Queen" A man said beside her bowing down with a toothy grin "I got your message, what do you want me to do for you? For an agreeable amount of money of course"

"Blackbeard" Regina smiled welcoming him like an old friend "Straight into business, I see you haven't changed one bit"

"Well neither have you, now hand the money over and whatever you want me to do I'll do"

Regina flicked over at him a large bag of money to which Blackbeard greedily began to open to check the package, finally nodding when he was satisfied.

"Are you aware of a Pirate called Captain hook, Blackbeard?"

Blackbeard nodded anger reaching into his eyes "Too aware if you ask me"

"Good" Regina pronounced taking a seat down on a barrel "Well my task for you dear is to track him down, he seems to have person aboard his ship that I want. Princess Emma" She finished hissing out her name with spite "Do whatever you want to the pirate and his ship, but make sure Emma gets to me"
