"What?" Ari asked. De and Judal looked over and Laurel frowned.

"Just trying to figure out the prophecy." Laurel responded simply Ari nodded awkwardly. They had been sitting at the bus station for about an our now which everyone was surprised at. No monsters. No signs of monsters. Nothing at all. Naturally though they had been given strange looks but that was probably just because they saw something strange i the mist. After all Laurel and Ari both had bows and arrows which they carried with them along with their bags. Laurel sighed.

"Does any of this seem strange to you?" Laurel asked suddenly. De shrugged as she braided her hair. She had started to unravel it about five minutes before then started again.

"What do you mean?" De asked. Laurel pursed her lips.

"I mean the last time something happened like this they waited forever to choose the demigods to go on the quest. They didn't just pick them like they did us."

"They probably thought about it for a while." Ari suggested. She now seemed unsure as well. She looked down at the floor. Judal who was silent the whole time looked around the room.

"You guys said the oracle was a person right?" He asked suddenly. They nodded. "Well wouldn't you be able to tell when she had given the prophecy? I mean you talk to her so you could tell that something might have been wrong? Or that something was bothering her?"

"Rachel can't remember the prophecy's but she knows when she gives one. If Chiron didn't tell her the prophecy she would have been even more worried." De said. Laurel nodded in agreement before standing up.

"I'll be right back." She said. De and Ari nodded. De frowned.

"Why is it she always gives us something negative to think about and then leaves?" De asks. Ari smirked and shrugged at her friend.

"Well this is just dandy!" Gemma hissed sarcastically. Jayce pursed his lips at her but said nothing. Once they had realized there was monsters the acted as though someone had called them on their phone(which was fake, things like that came in handy time to time) however that didn't last long. They had managed to fight off three out of the five or them before running off into the janitor's closet they were in now. "What are they?!" Jayce took a deep breath.

"If I'm correct they are mormo, vampire like spirits who punish bad children." Gemma stared at him and shook her head. "They are usually companions of Trivia but it makes no sense as to why Trivia would send them." Gemma rolled her eyes.

"Trivia wouldn't have sent them genius!" Gemma yelled at him. They had blockaded the door with a bunch of supplies and a cart they had found. The spirits were pushing at the door. and making some of the things fall down, it wouldn't last too long.

"I'm surprised they can't actually just appear in here." Jayce said. Gemma frowned at him.

"Don't give them any ideas." She turned and looked at the back wall. If they were quick enough she could freeze the wall and then destroy it. Being the daughter of Chione had its perks. She glanced over at Jayce. However once they got out the mormo would still come after them.

"Do you know how to defeat them?" Jayce glanced over at her and she held up her hands. She didn't like the idea of asking him questions constantly but he seemed to know about the monsters and she didn't. At least not these monsters.

"Well they punish bad children so do we have to be good?" It was more of a question than an answer. Gemma sighed and held out her hand o the back wall. Jayce jumped in surprise as she started to freeze it. Gemma paused then they turned even quicker and pointed her hand at the door. Jayce's eyes went wide.

"That should hold them off for a bit when we break this." Gemma gestured to the other wall. They couldn't hear the hissing any more but both knew that the mormo ,or at least that's what they thought the creatures were, were still there.

"Okay." Jayce replied. He took out his dagger and flipped it before slamming the hilt into the wall of ice. A small crack appeared and he sighed. "This may take a bit." Gemma pursed her lips and moved forward. She put her hand on the wall of ice. Suddenly a cracking sound came from the room. Jayce stepped back. Gemma smirked.

"We just have to break the sheet of ice on the wall now. The wall is so fragile from the ice that we can probably destroy it easily." He nodded. He turnd his dagger so the hilt was held out. He glanced at Gemma again. She sighed and held out her hand. "Actually I think I can break it myself.' She furrowed her eyebrows and focused her attention on the wall of ice. It was silent or a moment before they heard a cracking sounds. Gemma smiled.

"You might want to stand back." The next thing Jayce heard was the loudest sound he had ever heard. The wall shattered and brought some of the plaster with it, leaving a small hole, big enough for them to climb out of.

Gemma didn't take any chances and immediately ran toward the hole. She threw her bow out first before climbing though the hole with ease. "Come on!" Gemma said. She picked up her bow and glanced back at Jayce. He nodded and just as quickly as her ran and climbed through the hole. Gemma turned sharply just as Jayce came into contact with the ground. She held up ahand this time and in a moment there was another wall of ice.

"That should hold them off for a bit. For now we need to figure out how to get out of this crappy city."
