PAIRING(S): Dante/Tidus; past Tidus/Yuna; and family Auron/Tidus.
WARNING: Slash; screwy timeline that ignores roughly everything; shitty plotline; bamf, Fayth-ish Tidus; lame battle scenes which will probably be edited out; some (not-so) accidental dimension travelling involved; AU QUALTIES; lyrics will pop up every now and then, like Levitate by Hollywood Undead and Light 'em Up by Fall Out Boys. Oh, right, I won't update frequently; at least, I might if I decide what DMC and Dante I want to screw with.
NOTE: I, I don't know what this is, okay? Just. Just read it and tell me if I need to go and get my brain scanned to see if it is a pile of horse shit or not as I write each chapter.
【 As the dreamer awoke before the final rest, the dream disappeared.】
He is just a dream.
A dream that ended his dreamers dream, but in the end, that is all he is; a dream – and dreams end as soon as the dreamers stop dreaming. That is how it always go, has been for untold centuries; for the living as well as the dead spirit that just cannot let go.
Why...
However, if that is the case... why is he in a middle of a void of utter darkness?
Why is it... so dark...?
Seriously, all he could see is pitch black everywhere – he cannot even see his fingers when he brings them up close to his face.
... Am I dead?
However, since he is just a dream... wouldn't it make sense, if he became someone else's 'dream'? And, what if that someone was suppose to be his soul mate? What if, the Fayth, the dreamer, had sent him away to be with his soul mate – whom they thought was Yuna until the ball he was placed in to protect him from any harm and kept him alive levitated out of the water before shooting out towards the sky before disappearing in a showy flash of light.
I... cannot... feel anything...
Just like that, Tidus lost his chance to be with Yuna, the girl he loves, and Yuna lost Tidus to the one he'll eventually fall in love with. That, and to completely different planet.
Way to go, Fayths!
"Don't cry."
Or, should I say 'Way to go, Bahamut!'?
Wh-at...? Baha... mut...?
"You'll be with them soon enough."
Yu... na?
"No."
Who?
"Someone who needs you as much as you need them."
But...
"She wasn't the one – it was our mistake; I am fixing it, so don't cry."
Oh.
"Rest. You have a long journey ahead of you."
... Alright...
"Good night... Tidus."
Electric-blue orbs snap open just to take in unfamiliar surroundings in a very familiar fashion, just as a little boy, who is far older than his appearance gives him credit... the Fayth can finally rest.
