Hey everyone, sorry about the really late update here. Been pretty busy and such. Anyways, here's the long awaited next chapter.

It was a long trip to Crocus, and the train ride wasn't easy on some of the passengers.

Team Natsu was there, meant to keep an eye on a couple of questionable members to make sure they didn't cause trouble. They were dealing with their usual problems brought on by Natsu's motion sickness.

In the compartment across from them sat Cobra, who was on the trip to describe his strange attacker, Kinana, who was there as Cobra's "handler" as the wizard across from them joked, Zancrow, being there to clear some business with the council about him being back from the dead, and Meredy. She was there because Jellal thought she would be able to keep Zancrow calm and in control.

"How long do these things normally go?" Zancrow asked, moving a little restlessly in his seat.

"Not long now, if I remember correctly." Cobra said, feeling uneasy, as if someone was watching him.

"It just seems like it takes longer to go by train than when we had an airship." Zancrow complained a bit, trying to be careful not to wake his new pink haired girlfriend, who has been sleeping on his shoulder the whole time.

"So… How long have you two been a thing?" Kinana asked, trying to make the ride seem a little less tense.

"I, uh, I kinda slept with her during that whole potion thing that happened." Zancrow said, blushing a bit at the memory. "She's, uh, also got a bun in the oven."

"Seriously?!" Kinana was a bit shocked, Cobra had also been shaken from his thoughts at what he heard.

The rest of the ride went on with how Zancrow wanted to explain he was changing for good to the council so that he could help Meredy care for the child, he even said that he was planning to officially propose while they were in Crocus.

"That's really sweet of you, Zancrow." Kinana said, hoping the best for the two of them.

"I honestly never thought I'd hear anyone say those words in that exact order before I died." Cobra said, still a bit shocked, trying to think of Zancrow as a father. Only to shudder at the thought of two flame godslayers.

Eventually, the train pulled into the station and the two groups were met by a representative of the council.

"Good evening, I assume that you are… Team Natsy?" The man said, looking at the group. His hair was a mess and reached down to his shoulders, he had red eyes with dark circles under them, indicating he missed a lot of sleep. His outfit was rather unkempt, with tears around his sleeves and the legs of his uniform, and he was missing his shoes as well. But the most outstanding feature was his eyes, the left one just seemed blank and without emotion, while the right one screamed in terror, as if he was forced to relive nightmares every waking and sleeping moment of his life.

"My name is Senru Greybeck, and I'll take you to your hotel, and also I'll bring you to the council for whatever business you have." He said holding out a hand in greeting.

"It's nice to meet you, but that name sounds familiar." Lucy said, surprisingly being the only one to step forward to shake his hand, noticing it was rather cold.

"Well, my family is a pretty big name when it comes to mining operations around the kingdom." Senru said before leading them through the city. "I was told to show you to where you'll be staying, and I'll let the rest of you meet with an associate of mine and I'll bring the others to see the council about whatever business you have."

"If your family is that important, then why are you working a job like this?" Natsu asked.

"I had a few mental breakdowns and such, learned some magic while in a mental hospital, and had a really bad breakdown that led to the whole place being leveled. Council thinks it would be good for me to be kept under watch, and I gotta agree that this is good for my mental health." Senru explained before stopping in front of a hotel. "This is where you'll be staying for the next few days, now, will…. Zoncraw and… Karba? Will you two follow me to the council?" He added, after looking at smudged writing on his hand.

"Wait, who's the other person that's supposed to meet with us?" Kinana asked.

"That would be me." A voice said as the hotel doors opened, revealing Midnight in a council uniform.

"So, they struck a deal with you too." Cobra said before giving off a small laugh.

"They gave all of Oracion Seis a deal. Everyone's matched with some guild or organization to do some good. They have Brain working some desk job in a library with highly trained guards looking over him." Midnight explained.

Cobra and Zancrow followed Senru to go to their meetings, as the others began to unpack their luggage in their rooms. Midnight kept an eye on them when he noticed Meredy slink off to the bathroom, sounds of sickness coming from there as she puked into the toilet.

"That either means you're pregnant or you've got a stomach bug." Midnight said. "So, which one of them did it? I don't think it was Cobra, I can never get a read on that guy."

"It was Zancrow, it's a long story, but you're not helping anything." Meredy said, still hunched over the toilet. "Besides, I think Cobra and Kinana have a thing for each other."

"Yeah, I guess that makes sense, but I don't really think they're gonna do anything anytime soon." Midnight said.

"Unless we give them a little push. And maybe Kinana will get pregnant too, and our kids will have playdates together and such." Meredy said, daydreaming about being a parent.

"Yeah, that could work. And I have an idea on how to do it." Midnight said.

Later that day, after the meetings and after the planning, Meredy and Kinana walked to a hot springs near the hotel in order to relax after a long day. "So, this place seems nice." Kinana said, dressed in only a robe.

"Yeah, I even reserved a special room in advance to make sure no one walks in by mistake." Meredy said, stopping in front of the spring. "Go on in ahead, I forgot something." She added before walking off.

Kinana shrugged it off as nothing and slowly opened the door before being pushed in, the door closing and being locked behind her.

"What the?" She asked in surprise before looking up, seeing Cobra sitting in the water, a towel nearby.

They both stood still, frozen and blushing at the sight.

"Did Meredy lead you here too?" Kinana finally asked, turning to hide her blushing face.

"No, Midnight did. Said that he rented more than one and that I could have one to myself." Cobra said, reaching for his towel, only for his hand to be stopped by Kinana's.

"Y-you don't have to leave, but could you please look away for a minute." She said, Cobra willingly obliged, but he could hear her heart beating fast, the sound of her robe dropping to the floor, and her stepping into the water, He was glad she couldn't hear his thoughts, cause the sounds were driving him crazy. He was gonna kill Midnight after this.

"It's actually kinda thoughtful of them, we haven't really spent much time together recently." Kinana said, trying her best to keep herself covered while in the water.

"Kinana, I…. I wanna be with you as long as possible." Cobra said.

What happened next took him by surprise as she kissed him, he could hear the thoughts in her head about how she loved him, and how much she wanted to be with him.

"Erik…" She looked at him with passion before her eyes widened and looked down. "I forgot you're not wearing anything….."

Lemon Warning

"Neither are you." He said, kissing her neck and holding her close.

"Ah~ Erik, please be gentle." She said, straddling his waist. He continued to hold her before slowly pushing himself into her, causing her to moan from the warmth of his length going into her.

They felt closer to each other than ever before, the heat coming off of them both, the water splashing around them from their movements, their fingers scratching the skin as they felt all that built up emotion finally find release.

"Kinana, I love you."

"I love you too, Erik."

They kissed once more at the climax.

"I think that went well." Meredy said, listening outside the door. "I wonder why Midnight hasn't shown up yet though."

In his room, Midnight sat before a communication lacrima, telling what happened.

"Meredy must have locked them in there for enough time for something to happen." He said.

"So, it looks like you've been busy today, haven't you?" The girl on the other side said.

"Yeah, it has been, so I'll have to cut the call short today. How's Sabertooth anyways, Angel?" He asked.

"Things are good, my sister and I have been getting along well. But you really shouldn't have had to trick them to do that, so I'll have to punish you for it next time we see each other." Angel said, a smirk on her face.

Midnight blushed, remembering the last "punishment" she gave him, "Of course, I'll talk to you later then."

Elsewhere

An old man, hunched over sat at a desk, writing in a book as he saw the capital of Fiore in his mind. "The time is almost right, the resurrection of a god shall soon be at hand." He said, setting aside his pen. "Aldos, I see you have returned from your mission." He said, as a tall man with dark skin and pale hair walked up to him, his robes looked like that of a monks as a red snake tattoo coiled and moved along his exposed right arm.

"It has been done, Master Estorial. I obtained the blood of a dragonslayer as you asked, and one of the others gained the blood of a godslayer as well." Aldos said, kneeling before the old man.

Estorial stepped off his chair, he was a small man, with round glasses covering his eyes, and his beard covered most of his face as sideburns protruded from the sides.

"We must find the rest of the ingredients then, we must complete the ritual by year's end. This era of magic shall end, and a new world shall begin, a world where I am the one who sets the future in stone."

And that's the end. Who are these new foes? What does this mean for everyone else? And what could they mean by the resurrection of a god?
