This takes place during The Awakening. While Chloe and Derek had to get to Andrews by themselves. Well, what if they had to split up? Anyways, it's my first fanfic. Please go easy on me!

Its been a week. A week since Derek and I split up, a week alone, a week empty.
What am I saying 'empty'. Geez, I think all this time by myself is making me soft. Not that I wasn't already soft... Anyway.
I gave half of my sock money to Derek, and kept half for my self. He somehow convinced me that it was a good idea for me to hitchhike by myself, find Andrew, and then meet him in the forest where I encountered my film loop ghosts. At first, I didn't want to, not at all, but stubborn Derek had made me. He told me it would look weird if someone saw a little girl who looked about 12 with a big creepy-ass guy who looked 20. Doing it this way would be more inconspicuous. Yeah, and boring.
I was walking on the dirt road, waiting for a car going in the direction Derek said. Yeah, walking for a week is soo fun. Goddammit Derek, I swear when I find you, you are dead!
I looked up at the darkening sky. I needed a place to rest and hide for the night. To my right I saw a heavily wooded area (some might call it... the woods) and decided to find a nice tree to sleep in, since there wasn't a house for miles.
I jogged to the woods and found a nice tree with low branches. It was early fall, so there were still leaves on the trees. I climbed the tree until I got to some thick branches that would support my weight. I adjusted myself until I got into a sleep-able position and rested. Everything was going great... until I heard a loud crack. And I fell.
The branches below me weren't as stable as I'd thought, and they broke. with each branch my head hit, my vision got cloudier, until I reached the bottom. By then, everything had gone black.
Ok, so here's a little prologue to my story... I know it's not the greatest, but I kinda wrote this part quickly because I already wrote the first few chapters and you all would be lost if I didn't have something before explaining what happened, so for that I am sorry, and I promise better chapters.
Adios!
