Popsicle

Sasuke was silent as he walked through the gates of Konoha and everyone gave a sigh of relief. Their precious bloodline was back. The last Uchiha was home and that meant power, fear from the other nations.

Sasuke listened with little interest to Tsunade as she told him his limits and what he could and couldn't do within the village. When they left him Sakura ran over and hugged Sasuke tightly, trembling in joy while Kakashi patted Sasuke on the shoulder. Sasuke, however, ignored them, his eyes looking for a certain blonde.

"Naruto won't forgive you as easily as we did," Sakura said softly into the teen's shoulder.

Sasuke frowned and looked down, he knew this but he had hoped... "Where is he?"

"The park," Kakashi replied lazily, his eye never leaving the Uchiha.

Sasuke released himself from Sakura's hold and walked through the crowds, ignoring them as they sought to touch him, like he was a god of some sort. Ignoring the ANBU following him, Sasuke ran through the village when suddenly his instincts demanded he stop. Confused, Sasuke complied and saw a convenient store. Slowly, Sasuke walked in and followed his feeling towards the freezer where he saw the popsicles. Sasuke bought an orange and cherry double popsicle.

Pulling the wrapper off as he ran, Sasuke found the path to the park and began to walk it. Sasuke saw Naruto, whom was sitting on a bench, alone. Naruto would not look at Sasuke; he would only look at his feet.

Sasuke grimaced before slowly, he crouched down to be eye level with Naruto. Naruto looked up slightly and Sasuke followed his heart as he broke the popsicle and held out one. Naruto stared at it and then looked at Sasuke in shock. Sasuke didn't know what to do, he only stayed still.

Naruto's face broke out in a grin and he took the popsicle; licking the tip. "Hey Sasuke," he said.

Sasuke smiled slightly, wiping a single tear away as he licked the melting treat. "Hey," he replied.

He was forgiven.
