So... Kind of a good news/bad news situation here.

Bad News: The Road to the IS-7 is dead. I started this story close to 4 years ago in my spare time and it got away from me. In hindsight, I dislike too many things that are integral to this story to be able to salvage it. These issues include inconsistent characterization and poor choices for names (too many of the character names were poorly Russified and it shows). Most problematic was the way I tried to shoehorn game mechanics into the world, some of which I don't think make sense now (for instance the tiering system is more strict and concrete than I would like, and the promotions just don't make sense when you end up with a tank crewed entirely by officers). As a result of all these issuer I am killing this off now and starting fresh, which brings me on to...

Good News! The chronicles series lives, in the soon to be released World of Tanks Chronicles: The Eastern Front. The new series, for which I already have several chapters plotted out and partially written, will be much better than the old one. I'm abandoning the "game come to life" elements of Road to the IS-7 in favor of a cohesive narrative about the war and those who take part in it. In short, it should be less gamey and more war story-y. Apologies to those who read and liked this story (I know there are a few), and stay tuned for The World of Tanks Chronicles: The Eastern Front.
