Annabeth's POV

The battle raged all around me. It seemed like an endless horde hell bent on destroying everything that was right and just about this world. No matter how many times I cut down a monster three more would take its place. I had finally gotten a moment to rest and I used it to take in my surroundings. Demigods and Olympians were battling in every direction I saw. I quickly caught a glimpse of Percy across the plain wielding Riptide like an angel of death. Any who came near him were instantly destroyed. The Big Three were fighting close to him and they pushed the enemy back towards the mountain where the primordials stood.

I looked around and saw Frank transform into a huge Bull Elephant and trample anything around him. Jason and Thalia stood back to back doing their kids of Zeus thing, frying any monster within a 5 meter radius. Hazel was manipulating the mist to make the monsters believe what she wanted them to before slashing and stabbing any that were near her. Nico was not far from her, and I guess that was because he was worried she might get hurt. That troubled me a little because if Nico was worried about Hazel he was likely to make a mistake. Be that as it may, he was wielding his Stygian Iron sword with deadly accuracy stopping in between to call on the Dead to do his bidding. After knowing him for nearly 4 years, this still creeped me out. I caught hold of Piper standing facing roughly 10 monsters and ordering them to slay each other with their own weapons. Her powers of charmspeak were quite remarkable.

I turned to a jet of fire pass right in front of my nose as I let out a huge scream "LEO!" I turn to see him standing feet away from me. "Annabeth turn around quickly". I did as he said and saw a monster falling to ashes. Only then did I realise that Leo had actually saved me from being stabbed by that monster. "Leo, I'm sorry. Thanks!"

"No worries Annabeth, it's what Supreme Commander Leo is here for" he said while flashing his trademark grin. Before I knew it he leapt back into the fray where his father Hephaestus was blasting monsters aside with his fiery hammer. Leo seemed to adding his own fire to the hammer his father was wielding which made it extra powerful.

From here I could see Clarisse bathed in a cloud of red. "The Blessing of Ares" I thought. She stood shoulder to shoulder with Reyna as the children of two war deities shouted orders at the demigods around them to form up and push the phalanx forward. They seemed to be able to think what the other was thinking and work flawlessly together. Just beyond them I could see Ares himself fighting a monstrous drakon bigger than any I have ever seen. Typical Ares he was laughing manically as he swung his huge sword at the beast.

"Annabeth, focus!" I heard my mother call in my mind. I had been standing in the one spot looking around for gods knows how long. I tightened my grip around my drakon bone sword and jumped right back into the fray. I slashed, parried, ducked and stabbed as best I could. We were making some good progress but more monsters seemed to simply spill back onto the Earth, which I guess when the creator of monsters is fighting with you, that just happens. If we were going to win we would need to hold out for long enough until Percy tried to defeat Tartarus.

I was shaken out of my thoughts as the entire ground started to rumble. It couldn't possibly be Gaea as she would not be able to reform again for millennia or if even ever. It was not Poseidon from the looks of things as he too had stopped as was looking around confused. Across the plain Tartarus was the only one smiling, if you can smile when you have a vortex for a face.

A massive fissure opened in the ground and an enormous humanoid hand thing started to claw its way upwards. I saw my mother and some of the other Gods pale. My mind was racing until the realisation smacked my in the face. It could not be him. Please let it not be him. But my fears were confirmed. Typhon has risen.

Tartarus had called on his greatest son to obliterate Olympus. Everywhere the battle had stopped. I looked immediately to find Percy and I saw him standing looking up at Typhon. I don't know how strong Percy truly is but even he cannot defeat this behemoth on his own? He seemed to be talking to his assassins and the big three. Before I even knew it I could see four Titans and three of the Elder Giants standing before the primordials. How was this possible?

The started to walk towards each other and the tension built. Everywhere the battle ceased to see what would happen. They got closer and I saw Hyperion leap forward only for Percy to swat him aside with a swish of his arm.

Without even noticing the group Percy was standing at the head of split up and charged a different target. A huge bunch of the assassins charged Typhon and seemed like flies to him. They moved with such speed his massive hands cut not squat them away. They flew around his massive form slashing and impaling him with arrows until ichor started to flow. This only seemed to make the Father of Monsters angrier.

The Big Three and a smaller group of assassin, around 20 it looked like, charged the Titans and Giants. They're number would surely overwhelm them but I was still worried. I turned to see Percy and five assassins stand facing the two Primordials. Percy was talking to them but I could not hear from this far away. The remaining Gods shouted a charge and the battle rage around me once more. The endless tide kept coming and everything was a blur to me but I was in auto pilot mode just trying t keep as many of my friends as safe as I could.

Suddenly a huge roar ripped through the air. The battle stopped and we all turned to see, if it was possible, the storm giant Typhon fall. The Titans and the Giants were nothing but a pile of dust. Monsters around us started to titch and become nervous. Percy was now standing facing the two Primordials. "It is over. You cannot defeat us. Surrender now and return to your domains never to threaten this world again. Swear this by the name of Almighty Chaos and you shall be spared" he said. "It's not over until I say it's over sea spawn" Tartarus roared back. He nodded towards Erebus and I suddenly had a chill up my spine.

Before I could even move, a cloud of shadows appeared in right in front of me. My mother screamed "ANNABETH!" Erebus stepped out of the shadow with a sadistic smile on his face. "Hello Wisdom's daughter" he said before grabbing my throat and pulling me into the shadows with him. We reappeared next to Tartarus with Erebus still holding me by the throat. "Percy!" I scream. I can see the look of pure rage on his face as his eyes turn into glowing orbs. He quickly nods to the assassins as they disappear. Erebus melts into the shadows to avoid them but I can feel them start to fight with him while still in shadow form. Suddenly a black case envelops the fighting group just as Erebus started to try to disappear.

"Well if I cannot kidnap you, what use are you demigod" I hear in my mind as a pain like I have never felt is emanating from my stomach. A shadow blade was forced into my gut cutting through my armour like butter. I scream out in agony. Somehow Erebus held the assassin's off long to get his attack in. The orb of energy dissipated and I could just make out Percy holding Erebus by the throat. My vision was becoming black and I knew this was it. How could we have survived everything only to be done in by this now? My vision is becoming blurrier but I see Percy kneel down next to me. I have to tell him before it's too late. I have to use whatever energy I have left to tell him he was my best friend, my soulmate, my love.

"P-P-Percy, i-i-it's okay. I'm sorry. I-I-I love you" I whisper out as the last of my energy leaves me. The last thing I hear on this Earth is my one love scream as his heart shatters and my world turns black and I slip away.

Hey guys, I cannot apologise enough for the super long break in this story. But everyone knows life gets in the way and it happened to me. I really do apologise, but don't worry I will finish this story. There is only a few chapters left. Laters :D
