Bridal Walk

"Karasu..."

A tree was inflame by a dark fire. Karasu walk through it and Artemis timidly followed. She looks down while fiddling her fingers.

Ellie followed above her and looked at the road for her master. Karasu burn another tree while looking calm but murderous at the same time.

"You okay, Karasu?" Artemis spoke up and looked at him.

"Do I look like it?!" He yelled without bothering looking at his partner for now. The Queen and the King was searching in the East side; where it was rumored bandits, bulgars and criminals reside. Whilst, Karasu and Artemis in the North; where the deepest and darkest forest you could see. They believed the kidnapper could hide her where Karasu and Artemis are now.

"N-no."

"Then stop being annoying!" Karasu burned up more than 3 tress making a path full of ashes. Artemis cringed in response.

They continued walking and ashes were falling from the sky. Ellie rub her face into Artemis. "Dabu~" she whispered.

Artemis nodded and patted her head.

"One question..." Artemis timidly spoke up.

"What?!"

Artemis cringed. "Zack is gone. Do you know where he is?"

"Why do I both-!" Karasu halted and Artemis relaxed. 'He got the clue.'

"Continue." Karasu growled.

"Zack, after Zika dismissed him, was reported to be out of the castle premises. The Gate Keeper said Zack said to him that Zack was on a mission but Zack doesn't have a mission paper. The Gate Keeper thought it might be a secret or a personal mission given to him."

"Was he there when Zika was found gone?" Karasu balled his hands and gritted his teeth.

"No. I questioned the knights right after Zika was announced gone. I really found it queer when Zack waltz in. So I have been doubting in the beginning. I made myself a mission investigating him when he's out of ear shot."

Karasu then turns and face Artemis. "Tell me." He commanded with a glare.

"Zack's mother was human whilst his father was a demon." Artemis said with her eyebrows crunch. Karasu eyes widen.

"Miraculously, Zack's mother survive all the suffering. She managed to stay alive while Zack was slowing killing her inside and she also manged to give birth normally. Zack's father in the other hand..." Artemis bit the corner of her lower lip.

"It was reported by the Soul Reaper that he died right after Zika was saved from her last kidnapping incident. I bribe the Soul Reaper to tell me about him and I only got bits but I managed to solve the puzzle." Artemis took a long breath and let it out.

"It was Nathaniel Drake. Zack's full name is Zack Drake."

Karasu eyes was dangerously widen as his eyes was becoming smaller.

"Ca-calm down! We wouldn't know if he was really the culprit! Let's not make wrong decision especially in a situation like this!" Ellie went inside the shirt of Artemis once again as she sees the dire situation.

"WE ARE NOT ACCUSING HIM! HE IS THE CULPRIT!" His wings spread open but it was bigger than before. It flapped in the moonlight plus his murderous intents, he looked like he will kill anyone. Artemis backs away.

"B-!"

"Let's go back to the warehouse where we found her!"

Zika eyes slowly flatter open as she groan in pain. The first thing she saw was the cement floor.

'Cement? My floor is marble.' She pushed herself up and heard ruffles.

'My dress doesn't have much ruffles.' She looked at herself and her eyes widen. A pure white gown but some drops of blood here and there.

"Bl-blood? Why am I in a wedding dress? Or rather, where am I?" She stand up and run to the nearest window which was a very small looked out and saw a dark, clandestine forest.

She looked at the sky and saw a but of sun shine. "It's still daytime but the clandestine clouds are blocking it." And Zika heard something creaking. She ran cold in fear and slowly looks back.

Nothing.

She saw nothing but an open door with dead rose petals leading her out. Starting from her back, the dead rose petals trailed outside. Outside was dark and scary. Zika gulped down and followed the trail; stepping on petals resulting crunching sounds. As she was near the door, a torch was lit just right outside the door.

'I faced worse. I faced worse. I faced worse.' Zika grabbed on her bracelets as her precaution. She continued her chant as she stepped out the room. The door then bang closed and wind hits her back. Zika lets out a small squeak as she look back and saw her door disappeared.

Another torch was then lit on the left side and she then saw the trail of dead petals. Zika looks down at herself and then to the trail. "Is this my wedding ceremony or something? If is then, I don't like it. I rather have alive and fresh flower and a clean gown." She raised her voice purposely for her kidnapper to hear. She sighed, 'that was ridiculous' andcontinued following the trail and as the torches way lit one by one to her destination.

I wonder what is in the end...

Artemis and Karasu stood inside the warehouse. It was the part of the warehouse where the royal twins were found. They roamed their eyes in the area while trying to detect magic.

"...Nothing." Artemis breath out the word. Ellie flew every corner and reported there was nothing too. Well, except the awful stench and some dead body here and there, there was really nothing.

Karasu balled his hands and punch to the nearest wall. It made a hole as Karasu was breathing ragingly.

Artemis look at Karasu with pity. "Look, I'm worried too but don't get the emotion get the best of you." She tried calming him down. Karasu didn't spoke up as he woke outside. Artemis and Ellie followed behind.

Zika, where are you? Karasu spoke inside his mind; hoping for Zika to hear and answer

Zika still following the trail; was wondering why there were no door or windows. Just plain cemented but then she heard a familiar tap on her footing. She looked down and saw blue silk marble floor.

"Blue silk? Marble?" She looked ahead and saw the walls had painted into white gold and the torches turn into white lamps. The dead rose petals was replaced into different kind of fresh flower petals and some glitters were falling above. Zika looked up but saw the glitters falling from a dark place. Like stars falling from the sky.

Zika then quickly looked at herself but found she was still in the same outfit. She then sighed. "I guess I'll be enjoying my stay?" She asked at nowhere.

She continued her 'bridal walk' but that walk will soon turn into something unholy.
