Standing in a grave Kat opened the coffin to finish a simple salt and burn case when the angry ghost of a thirteen year-old girl who had committed suicide materialized. Kat quickly reached for her shotgun filled with rock salt, but the ghost sent her and her gun flying out of the grave. Kat hit her head hard on a tombstone and her vision went blurry.

"Son of a bitch!" Kat yelled out.

Scrambling for her shotgun she reached it in time to aim and fire rock salt through the ghost. When the apparition vanished she grabbed the rock salt and the lighter fluid and set the bitch aflame. She watched the flames for a minute or two hoping that wherever the ghost had been sent it was better than being stuck here. Then booked it from the cemetery before the cops showed up.

Reaching the motel Kat wearily got out of the car, the world spinning slightly. It was just her luck to have gotten a concussion. She stiffened up when she saw a shadowy man walking towards her, but relaxed when she saw it was the motel's owner. Which, in hindsight was a bad idea as the man's eyes flashed yellow and the demon smashed her into the wall causing her to black out.

Waking up tied to a chair with her head pounding is not how Katriel foresaw her day ending. Blinking to get the spots out of her eyes she focused on the demon standing in front of her. Though he couldn't be an ordinary demon, not just because of his eyes, he radiated power in a way no other demon. She didn't run in to demons often, but she remembered they way they felt to her senses. Greasy like oil and a deep feeling of dread plus evil. This time it was overwhelming causing the pounding in her head to worsen.

"Wakey, Wakey, sleeping beauty." The demon practically purred.

"Fuck you, you motherfucker." Kat growled.

"Now is that anyway to talk to your captor?"

"I don't know seeing as I've never had the pleasure of being tied up by a demon."

"Don't knock it until you've tried it." The demon retorted.

Kat tried to distract the demon while looking around for a possible escape route. She was back in her motel room and wondered if that would at least keep him from doing anything that would get her screaming. It wasn't like the monster of the week had never gotten a jump on her before she knew what was coming.

"Now, now this doesn't have to end messily. All I want is for you to stay away from the Winchesters and then you tell me what you are."

"Look pal, I wasn't intending to get mixed up with the Winchesters again and I am sure as hell 100% human."

The yellow-eyed demon grabbed her chin and forced her to look him in the face. Unfortunately her psychometric abilities decided to act up. Kat screamed as she was assaulted with memories of hell. Then, she was suddenly in a nursery where the demon, Azazel was his name, stood over a crib. He cut himself with a knife and bleeds into the baby's mouth. With a sinking feeling she realized the baby was Sam.

"Now, that was unexpected. I haven't had a human poke around in my skull before. You like what you see? So how did you do that?" Azazel asked.

"I'm psychic, my flavor specifically is psychometry."

"Even the most powerful of psychics wouldn't have been able to do what you just did. So if you don't know what you are I'm just going to have to open you up and see what makes you tick."

Kat had screamed her throat raw. She had tried to hold out, to not scream and give the bastard the satisfaction, but that lasted for about 5 minutes. She didn't know how much longer she could take it. Azazel didn't give her time to breath before he stabbed in the knife and twisted it.

"Well that was a nice, pretty scream, but this is getting us no where. Time to finish this. It was fun while it lasted."

Kat didn't want to die, especially not tasting her own blood, tied to a chair after being tortured for what felt like an eternity. Just as she felt her vision go blurry, a warm feeling spread throughout her body and a bright white light exploded outward from her body. Squinting Kat watched as the light bathed the demon and forced it out of its human host.

"What the hell?" She rasped. Struggling she managed to topple over to the ground. Gasping in pain she wiggled over to the knife that Azazel had dropped when he left the human's body. Grabbing the knife she started to cut herself free from her bindings.

Flipping her phone out she called 9-1-1 and hoped that her arsenal was hidden well enough that the police wouldn't find it. All she needed was for the police to find her weapons and her fake I.D.s on top of her being tortured. Kat tried her best to stay conscious until the police got there, but felt herself fading out.

Katriel woke to the sound of a heart monitors beeping. Her body felt too heavy to move. She could see the police outside her hospital room talking to the nurses at the counter. She wasn't looking forward to being questioned by the police. So far she'd managed to avoid a police record, stay on the down low, now that looks like it was at an end. At least she wasn't handcuffed, that meant they hadn't found the shit ton of illegal weapons and fake I.D.s. The two policemen saw she was awake and entered her room

"Ma'am my name is Detective Anders and this is my partner Detective Green." Police guy number 1 now known as Anders said.

"Hi," Kat answered shakily, "I'm Kathy Gregson."

"Kathy do you know the men who… who attacked you?" Detective Green asked he obviously had never seen the victim of torture before in this little town.

"No…No I don't know why they hurt me." Faking a sob came a lot easier than Kat liked. If she dwelled too much on what had just happened she would break down and she couldn't afford that.

"Do you have any enemies? Anyone who might want to hurt you?" Detective Green questioned.

"No! I mean, no one in this town and I've been on a road trip going from place to place. No one who'd want to hurt me would know where I am."

"Well, the man in your motel room has been apprehended, so you don't need to worry about him hurting you again." Detective Anders reassured her.

"Thank God." Kat whispered. She felt sorry that the demon's host was he had been possessed by a demon now could she?

"Do you have any family members or friends we can call?" Detective Green asked.

"No. You don't make a lot of friends on the road and my father and I had a falling out."

"Are you sure you don't want us to call him?"

"Positive."

When the detectives had left Kat searched for her phone and found it on the table next to her. Grabbing it she made a call to the Winchesters. They needed to know what they were dealing with.

"Hello?" Sam asked when he answered his phone.

"Thank God, Sam do you by chance happen to know anything about a yellow-eyed demon?"

"What! How do you know about that demon? Did he come after you? Are you okay?"

"Yeah, Sam I'm fine, relax. He came to visit me, but I'm fine, if a little bruised and battered." Kat answered deciding to leave the torture out of the conversation.

"Are you sure? We can turn around and come get you."

"Yes I'm fine. I can take care of myself and no don't turn around you have more important things to do right now. I have some information. When the Demon touched me I got its name. Azazel, have you ever heard that name before?"

"No I haven't. Thanks for the info and don't worry we're gonna gank that bastard."

"Just be careful you two. I've never come across the name before, but from what I felt he's a big bad. I've never come across a demon this powerful before."

Saying their goodbyes Kat felt a little bad about leaving the whole demon blood thing out of the conversation. She felt that whatever mess the brothers were in now, they didn't need a major distraction. She could tell them what happened to Sam when they had managed to kill the demon. Hopefully, she would be alive to tell the tale.
