Author's Note: The final chapter to Fallenstar's Fate, guys. I love you all, and this epilogue is fairly short and is in third person, reflecting my approach to the next story that will… start tomorrow!

So, thank you so much for reading Fallenstar's Fate.

Fallenstar thanks you too.

"Tell me a story, Mom!" Cried out Flamekit stepping on Pinekit's head. Fawnkit only politely tipped her head and grinned widely.

Fallenstar sighed and heaved herself up from her nap. She looked down at her kits and yawned loudly. "Want to hear a story?"

"Yeah!" Pinekit and Flamekit cried out both at once.

"Well…" the leader started. The kits eagerly shuffled their paws. She grinned. "One upon a time, there was a twoleg."

"What's a twoleg?" Asked Flamekit suddenly.

"A twoleg is a tall, pink creature that stands on two legs and they wear colorful second pelts. They only have fur on the top of their head and sometimes their face." Said Fallenstar describing the twolegs.

"Are they ugly?" Asked Pinekit.

Fallenstar laughed and said, "Very ugly." Then she composed herself and continued, "So, once upon a time, there was a twoleg girl. She was apprenticed to taller twolegs, and she wasn't very satisfied with her life. The next day when she left the apprentice twoleg nest, she was killed by a huge, bulking red monster." Fallenstar swat her paws in the air for emphasis. Eventually, Stemkit, Twigkit, and Birchkit stood next to the smaller kits listening to the story.

Fallenstar continued, "The twoleg then fell down from the sky and hit the ground right next to the shore of the lake. Surprisingly," she paused, "That twoleg has transformed into a cat! She was very scared, and only happened to be six moons old. Three cats found her by the lake and they brought her to their camp. The brave and courageous leader of the camp invited her to join the Clan, and without thinking, she agreed, about to set paw onto the greatest journey of her entire life."

Twigkit wriggled out and asked, "Why would the leader invite a twoleg-cat into his camp without thinking right? That leader must be crazy!"

"Shut up, Twigkit!" Hissed Stemkit.

"Actually, Twigkit is right. That leader was a little crazy for inviting her. But the reason he invited her was because he believed that she was part of a prophecy he has heard." She lashed her tail and said in a deep voice, "Falling, tumbling through the blood, will arise a cat, yet not a cat, that will set things right."

"The twoleg didn't know she was part of the prophecy, right?" Asked Pinekit suddenly.

Fallenstar nodded. "The twoleg trained hard to be a warrior in her apprentice form. Along the way, she has broken the code, and has fallen into a forbidden love with another tom. The apprentice twoleg became a warrior one day too early for protecting her territory. A few moons later, the love of her life died."

Fawnkit sighed and laid back her ears sadly.

"The twoleg-cat was very, very sad and she snapped at other warriors. No one wanted to be around her either because she was so grumpy all the time. Since she was grieving for so much longer than she should have, the leader decided that she's done enough moping, and he revoked her warrior name."

"What was the twoleg-cat's name anyway?" Asked Flamekit curiously, stepping on Pinekit's head again.

"Skyfall." Fallenstar quickly lied, "Now quit interrupting the story. Anyway, she was then revealed to the entire Clan that she was in a forbidden relationship with the cat, and that's why she was grieving for so long. The leader decided not to punish her because taking away her warrior name was a harsh punishment as it is.

"The cat was very sad, and she covered up her grief. She trained harder than ever before, and she became Skyfall once more. Later on, she found out that she's part of the prophecy. Meanwhile, a huge, dark forest of evil dead cats were plotting to wipe the Clans out of all life. Skyfall found out that she had a duty, and that duty was to warn everyone of the oncoming invasion. She did so, and she fainted from exhaustion after the battle.

"Skyfall fell in love again with a healthy relationship, and learned how to live in her Clan. She and her new mate lived happily ever after."

Fawnkit scrambled on top of Fallenstar and asked, "Is Skyfall a real cat?"

"Oh, she's real all right." Fallenstar purred to her daughter, "Skyfall is definitely a real cat…"

And so my rubber ducks… the curtains close…
