Mirror Image

Chapter: X

Technically, Fanfiction doesn't allow Q&A entries, but let's all keep quiet about that, alright? Anyway, I received a few PMs from people asking about the last chapter and about this story, in general, so I decided to post this. Hopefully, it may clear other people's confusion if there were any. But you're all free to ignore this.

1. Will you be writing a sequel?

Nope. No, sequel. Honestly, if I were to further continue this story it would end up becoming a high school fic. Not that there's anything wrong with high school fics. I quite enjoy them, but that's not how I want the story to end up. Still, I'm flattered you guys would be willing to stick around for a sequel.

2. So what exactly did Rin wish for/ I found the ending confusing.

As I told one PM-er: what Rin wished for was kind of complicated, so I kind of left it up to interpretation while throwing around some hints. Basically, yes, she wished for the cycle of good and evil to end, but she still wanted to be with Len, so she wished for a world where people and their mirror images could live together, but the world would have to have a "reset" creating a new history and erasing the good and evil cycle and ANY of the goddess' involvement with the people. So the wishes of her ancestors were all canceled (the price of her wish) including her father's wish of immortality (that's why he's dead) and Rin was sent a bit back in time before she ever entered to mirrored world and instead hit her head. Rin and Len have the most solid memories of the past events of their now "alternate lives", though Rin was slowly starting to forget and adapt to her new life, but according to Len's dream/vision she would eventually remember and they would be reunited in the end.

3. Did you base your story off Servant of Evil?

No. The mirrored world was actually influenced by the French Revolution. I was learning about it in history and found it interesting, but half-way into the story I did see some similarities, so I decided to throw in the smallest of references.

4. If Rin lived, would she and Mikuo really have ended up together?

Yes and No. The vision wasn't entirely truthful. Think of it as a parallel universe where Rin would have lived without Len's romantic influence.

5. (this was more of a suggestion, but whatever) Why not write an epilogue?

As much as I loved writing this story, I'm DONE with it. I will literally shed bloody tears if I write anymore, even epilogues, so I decided to go with a Q&A and finish the story with an open/cliffhanger ending.

6. Was the hypothetical kid in the last chapter Rinto?

Yes.

Ah, well that's it.
