Okay...
Know it's short, couldn't be bothered to write all Erik's past ( and I hope you know it. If you don't... God you must be confused!) so I wrote the aftermath instead. Jut some ExC fluff in this. So... Read on, fellow phans!
P.s I'm sorry for the huge gaps between chapters. Just so busy. But I shall never abandon you! :D

She looked at me. Her thoughts were clouding her eyes. Was it pity? Or fear? I know my life hasn't been easy but it's not my fault. 'Christine?' I asked. No reply. My heartbeat sped up. She had rejected me... I knew it. I moved away from her. Why hadn't I expected this? It was inevitable. I was a monster. How could either of them ever love me? My world had shattered into pieces. I truly believed that she married me for love but I was doubting that now.
'I-I'm sorry... I shouldn't have said anything about my past, my love. I'm leaving. You and Gustave can go on without a mons- mph!' She thrust her lips against mine and I fell off the bed, Christine still grabbing onto me. It was quite surprising she didn't stop kissing me even though we fell. I didn't know what to think. I thought she rejected me but then she threw herself at me to stop me leaving. Was it love? Or was it something else? I shook it off. My wife was kissing me and I was wondering why! And i told myself,
I don't care why.
We both gasped for breath as she pulled away. 'Don't ... You ever... Try to leave again!' She struggled between breaths. I nodded obediently.
'So you don't think I'm a monster?'
'A monster! Oh please,' She scoffed 'your just a man with a harsh past, dear. And anyway... Your my monster.' I hummed as she rolled off me and clambered back to bed. I shuffled next to me.
'Christine,' I asked. She rolled over to face me.
'Yes,' she purred.
'Please warn me before throwing me onto the floor. Solid wood isn't the comfiest,' I rubbed my neck. She laughed sweetly and pecked my lips. She rolled over and pulled the covers up to her neck. 'Aww, my little baby,' she cooed with a mocking tone.
'You owe me a neck assuage for that.'
'Maybe,' she turned and smiled wickedly. I gulped. What was she going to make me do now? 'If you take Gustave and I to the Met we could compromise.' I groaned. She'd pestered me about that for months. That damn woman!
'Fine! I'll get Nadir to order tickets tomorrow,' I sighed. She smiled sweetly.
'Nighty, night..' She rolled over. I closed my eyes and thought about my past. I'm so glad I found Christine. Even if for a while it didn't turned out as planned, I wouldn't have changed one line. Not ever. Even if she drove me crazy...
I heard her hum and she smiled lightly. 'You are so corny, Erik. I so know what you are thinking right now.' I sighed.
That damn woman!
