I tuned out the world around, blasting music in my ears as I walked the streets of this place called home. I recently moved here due to my father's business, but I was use to moving around so much; home was nowhere. The sun was high up the world was bustling around me as people were rushing to get to work. My eyes found their way to the sky again, mom I miss you so much. I feel so alienated, if only you were still here. I stopped in front of a building and looked at windows staring at my reflection. A slender girl stood before me with dark reddish long hair that reached midway of her back, the color of her skin was an olive tone skin. Her unusual golden eyes stared right back at me. My trance was broken when I heard some shuffling. I walked around the corner to see a girl with shoulder length hair was and bright brown eyes appear. The girl was slowly going down the stairs holding a large box of what seemed to be wires poking out.

I saw her stumbling and I quickly raced over stabilizing her and the box. Our eyes locked her lovely chocolate brown eyes locked with mine, "Oh Hello! Um thank you for helping me." I smiled at her "No problem" I took the box from her "where does this go?" She waved her hands frantically "Oh you don't have to do that!" I chuckled "Hey I offered, now, where does this go?" She maneuvered around me and I followed her "My name is Mai Taniyama, what's yours?" Mai opened the trunk to a black van, "My name is Alice Hunter." Mai then asked "Oh you are American?" I nodded "Yea, father doing business, moves from time to time." Mai was then interrupted ""Mai you are supposed to be working not goofing off with friends." We turned to see a boy with dark hair and dark eyes; he wore all black and had fair skin. He was pretty attractive but I am a girl that appreciates good looking men in silence and not having my tongue hanging out "hello actually I saved your coworker and your equipment. From what it looks like I saved you from wasting money, also I helped her carry this box that was too heavy for her to carry." He shot me a glare and I shot him one, if looks could kill he and I would be neck to neck right now. "Well then that saves me from going out to find another assistant if this dummy got hurt." This guy is a jerk, "Jezz Naru will you relax? She saved me and this is how you treat her?" I held my hand up to silence her "don't worry about it Mai, all that's matters is that you're ok and the equipment is in one piece." As I was about to walk out and place on my head phones I felt someone grab my arm. I felt a chill, damn it not again. I felt myself make a connection and next thing I knew a memory began to play. I saw her run round a desk and a man leaped over, he pushed her against a window that I heard cracked. "Don't even try to scream I will stab you in the throat before you even have the chance! I desperately pulled myself out; I took in a deep breath. My ears were ringing and my stomach felt upset and I saw Mai looking at me with wide eyes "what did you see?"

Before I could say anything she said "because I felt us connect and I do the same thing when I see something. But this is different; I usually see this through dreams." I then heard the guy apparently called Naru say "Are you clairvoyant?" I nodded "yes I am" I saw him cross his arms, I tried reading him but he had one heck of a poker face. His dark eyes glimmered with something; Interest? "I will pay you if you come help us on this case" I raised an eyebrow at him, questioning him. "What do you mean case?" Mai then said "we are a team of paranormal researchers know as S.P.R, from time to time we will travel and answer house calls that might be dealing with hauntings." Naru then said "I run this operation; I will pay you of course if you help out in this case." Honestly I didn't need the money since my father but then again I can always do this to keep me from getting bored.

"Alright I will do it." Naru then said "alright then you start today." I was stunned by his words; don't most places give me a week? Not that it matters, I don't have anybody at home waiting for me. "We will be staying with a client for a few days so I suggest that you pack." Wow this is really short notice, again, not like it matters. Dad is never home anyways, always working. "Alright then well I don't live to crazy far-" Mai then said "here I can ask Lin for some help." She grabbed my hand and dragged me into the building. A tall man in black slacks and a white button up shirt appeared his hair dark and long on one side of his face. "Hey Lin can you drive Alice and I to her place? She is a new member of our team; she will be helping us out in this case. His eyes locked onto me, "Sure."

After a quick trip and a really rushed packing we made it back to H.Q. I threw my duffle bag in a silver car, as I shut the trunk Mai tugged my arm pulling me away from the vehicle and in front of another Man who had long dirty brown hair in a ponytail, he was also nicely built and light skin. He wore blue jeans and a dark grey shirt, he smiled at Mai and said "Hey Mai who is this?" she then said "meet a new member of our team! Her name is Alice!" He held his hand out and I shook it "nice to meet you Alice my Name is Houshou Takigawa" I smiled "nice to meet you." We were then interrupted by my new boss with him saying "enough goofing off everyone in the car and let's go!" I walked to the car and sat next to Mai with the man as I know as Lin, driving, Naru in the passenger. I just moved here and things are happening so fast, usually it would be a slightly overwhelming feeling but I wasn't. I couldn't help but feel slightly excited and curious what's on the road ahead for me now that I actually might of found people who are just like me.
