A/N: well aren't you lucky with two chapters in one day? If you're lucky enough, you might get three. This one is slightly shorter and I find it very mystifying myself.

At the end of the day, he loved her. No matter which way he put it, he did and he had to find a way to deal with that. He had to get a chance to tell her.
"Ready to go man?" Chuck was snapped out of his funk and Nate dragged him into the limo.
Chuck looked out the window thinking about Blair.
"You still love her?" Nate asked. "After all this time?"
"I can't imagine the day I won't." Chuck continued to gaze out the window as they drove away from central park to brunch.
Brunch was a disaster. They were there from 10.30 until 6.47 in the evening. They bartered and argued and pulled hair at one point until a treaty could be agreed.
They both signed the written agreement and stood there whilst Nate and Serena chatted.
"I missed you." Chuck offered.
"Clearly not enough." Blair responded coldly.
"Are you going to the Hamptons this year?"
"Yes."
'I love you', he thought. But thoughts are not enough for Blair Waldorf.
After an awkward pause, Blair cut into Serena's conversation and told Nate that Serena had a date with Hugh in an hour so she had to go. Nate's face dropped. They four walked out in silence.
"Blair, why did you do that?" Serena asked in the town car.
"Because you do and I was bored of making small talk with the boy who broke my heart."
"What heart?" Serena said. And the two girls giggled and it was the first time Blair had laughed in a very long time.
"Do you love him?" Serena asked.
Blair shook her head.
"Did you love him?"
"Too much." Blair sighed, hurting at the thought of him loving someone else with his strong arms around them, making them feel the way he could make her feel but she still wasn't enough.
"Did it hurt seeing him today?" Serena was almost like an innocent child, too scared to let love in but loving wholly without knowing.
"Too much." Blair repeated, the cracks in her heart were close to shattering it.
"What does it feel like to be loved?"
"I wouldn't know." Blair slipped out of the town car into her apartment and ran to her room.
Serena's date went very well. He romanced her and wined and dined her and they laughed. Serena thought her sides would split, she was laughing so hard.
"Why did you never suggest there was chance you'd go out with me?" Hugh asked more seriously.
"I hinted so much!" Serena exclaimed! "You were just to blind to realise what I wanted."
"Orrrrrr, your hints were too subtle." He winked. "This was really fun."
"It was." She giggle slightly.
"Would you like to go for a walk?" Hugh looked at her.
"Yeah, I'd like that."
They walked through central park and stopped at the pagoda.
"Serena, I've been thinking about you like this for a very long time." Hugh said.
"When I found out you were back, I had to give it ago Hugh, I couldn't just leave it with us."
Hugh's phone rang and he picked up. Hugh began speaking in Russian and so Serena waited.
"I have to just get something, I'll be back in 10 minutes." Hugh said to Serena.
"I'll come with you." She offered.
"No, I'll be back soon, I promise." He kissed her hands and was gone.
She waited for him. She would wait forever for Hugh Waldorf.
Whilst that was going on, Blair was in her room brooding. Her door swung open and the stench of hard liquor poured in. A figure stood in her doorway, the presumed owner of the grim smell.
"I needed to tell you." A dark raspy voice belonging to a dark knight rattled through Blair's room.
"Tell me what?" She asked.
"You're the love of my life, Blair. If you asked me to do anything, I'd do it. I love you." Chuck was holding onto the door frame for his drunken life.
Blair walked round her bed and slapped him cleanly across the face and stood there looking up at him. He pulled her in closely and they kissed too hard and they pulled too sharply. They took each other like they had no other option and, when she woke up in the morning, there was no sign of the dark knight, not even the smell lingered, and the Queen was left to decide if it was a dream or real.
A/N: ask me questions, I dare you!
