Author's Note: This chapter is pretty short and somewhat sappy. The next chapter will have the touching reunion between the bionic siblings.
Previously…
"It's ok mom." Leo said softly. I hugged my baby boy to me. I cried for everything that he went through and for all the sacrifices he made.
"So what do we do now?"
Chapter 9
Leo's POV
"I think we should get you home," I answered. "I am pretty sure that Davenport will be pacing around the lab wondering where we are."
"Very true," Mom chucked. She knew her husband well. "Are you going to be returning back to Germany?"
"Yes, I will." Dad answered. "Leo still has his vacation and I still have work to be doing in Germany. Leo could you drop me off?"
"Sure Dad." I answered. I turned to my mom. "I'll meet you back at home mom." She smiled and nodded as I took his hand and geo-leaped us back to his bedroom.
"Thank you Dad." I said. He smiled at me and pulled me into a hug.
"I hope this will help." He said with a smile. "You deserve a break from everything that has happened. Now that Douglas is out of the picture, I hope that you will take this time for yourself."
"I will Dad." We let go. I way about to head home when Dad stopped me
"Oh… and come and visit." He smiled
"Of course." I laughed.
Davenport's POV
Tasha left quickly after we returned home. I knew that she had gone to find Leo, something that I wanted to help with; however, I knew I would not be welcome. If only I had listened years ago I may have been able to help Leo deal with his bionics. I wondered how Leo learned to control them? This meant that Leo had to have help, but who?
"Davenport?" Bree said which pulled me from my thoughts. I noticed that three hours had passed without any contact from Tasha or Leo and I hadn't left the couch.
"Hey, Bree…" I could see that she was having a hard time with this…we all were.
"Have you heard from Tasha….or Leo?" she said sadly.
"Not yet…" I answered. She gave a small nod before heading down to the lab. I didn't want to stop her or comfort her for I knew I couldn't. How could I comfort them when I couldn't even comfort myself?
"Hunny…" I didn't even realize that Tasha had arrived home. I nearly fell of the couch as she appeared next to me.
"How long have you been there?" I asked startled.
"Not very long." Tasha answered. I expected her to be sad or angry yet she was calm and…happy.
"Did you find Leo?" I asked her.
"I did," she smiled. This confused me…
"How are you calm?"
"I found out everything that happened. Leo finally trusted me with the truth." Tasha had tears in her eyes, but not out of sadness. As she explained everything to me, I couldn't help but feel both shocked and confused.
"He did all of this…" To say that I was shocked was an understatement. He and his father had managed his bionic along with the help from the government, they build their own secret lab, and they had saved Bree, Chase, and Adam from being lab rats.
"He should hate us…" I felt tears begin to form.
"I don't hate you," I don't know what was with the Dooleys but they could both scare me to death. I turned to see a smiling Leo at the top of the stairs.
"But you should." He came walking down and hugged me.
"I wasn't happy with you, but I could never hate you Big D." I hadn't heard that in two years. I wrapped my arms around my step son and cried.
