This chapter contains character deaths, something like incarnation and touch to the feels.

One Last Time

Midorima finished typing another email to Kuroko. He sighed, stretching his muscles he yawned and made his way to bed. Kuroko had been living in America for maybe a year or so, and Midorima clearly missed him, he was a great friend after all. Lifting his covers he entered his bed.

"Strange," he said to himself softly. "Oa-Asa said something bad would happen to me today, I wonder if it was just that horrible drink from earlier," he removed his glasses, closing his eyes, slowly, feeling his heart slow down, almost stopping.

"My, my, you would've done such a great doctor, Shintarou," Midorima felt an agonizing pain, his heart, his heart was stopping, he could barely sit up but when he did, he saw him.

"A-A-Akashi," he mustered, from the shadows of his room a young figure made his way out. Shining red hair and heterochromatic eyes, Midorima was seeing death in front of him.

"That's right, you thought you would be able to betray me, and you thought I would rot away in jail? Hn, not a chance," Akashi said looking at his room. His hands were gloved, he opened the computer, looking over his emails and such, opening pictures Kuroko had sent him and smiling at each of them. "Well here's what I was looking for," Midorima had fallen back on the bed, it was getting harder and harder to breathe, but he knew, he knew that he had Kuroko's address.

"K- Kuro…ko," Midorima struggled. Akashi walked towards him, watching him struggle to breathe.

"Goodnight, Shintarou," Akashi laughed, bending down and cutting some of his hair and leaving just as silently as he had left. Midorima held his shirt tightly. He fell to the ground, walking to the computer he typed messily but soon he felt his heartbeat accelerate and he fell to the ground.

"Gomen, Kuroko…" he whispered lowly to himself before his eyes closed completely, his body hit the chair, making it fall down, the sound awakening his sister, who came to check on him.

"Shintarou-nii?" the girl asked, opening the door, she looked at the ground to see her brother sprawled out in the ground, she ignored the computer screen, quickly running to her brother's side and calling her parents. Midorima had not been able to send his last email.

-He's back-

It was early morning, roughly seven in the morning, when Kuroko awoke, he was still sweating and felt a horrible ache in his heart, and Kagami was sleeping soundly by his side. He reached for his phone and sighed in relief, he smiled and opened Midorima's email. He laughed at the serious response and the picture of what his lucky item had been. He probably had just gone to bed too. He rubbed his eyes from the sleep and looked back at Kagami who was snoring softly, he bent down to kiss the tiger's lips, being caught by an arm and being flipped.

"Morning," Kagami smiled, pecking the blunette's lips. Kuroko returned the gesture.

"Morning, Kagami-kun," using his hand to push him away, Kuroko began to stretch and get up as Kagami followed suit, grabbing a pair of basketball shorts he kept close and tossing Kuroko an oversized shirt which he gladly took.

"I'll go make breakfast," Kagami said leaving the room. Kuroko only nodded, leaving to the bathroom. As he brushed his teeth he couldn't help but feel as if something was wrong, very wrong; he touched his chest, it was hurting.

A plane was taking off, a young lad was seated, he brushed his red hair back with his hand. A woman blushed by his side and he smiled at her, then turning his view to the window outside, seeing his reflection, he touched it, a red and golden eye stared back at him.

"I'm coming, Tetsuya," Akashi was heading to America, and no one was going to stop him.

Two days after, Kuroko received a call from Japan, it was Aomine.

"Aomine-kun, how have you been? How's your job?" Kuroko asked excited, he didn't talk to the cop often do to the fact that he was always busy with work, the man on the other side sounded a little strained though.

"Tetsu, listen, your friend Midorima he…" Aomine began cursing silently. Making Kuroko worry.

"Aomine-kun, what happened to Midorima-kun?" Kagami came back with their plates, setting them down only to see a tear-stricken blunette with wide eyes and pale complexion. He dropped his phone, looking at the ground, Kagami grabbed his phone and answered.

"Hello?" came Kagami's rough voice, the navy blue haired man groaned.

"Oi Kagami, please take care of Tetsu," Aomine said softly. Kagami frowned.

"What happened?" he asked, slowly nearing the blunette who was now sobbing quietly.

"Your friend, Midorima, he was found… dead," Aomine said slowly. "Akashi recently escaped the mental institution he was in and we have yet to track him. Be careful, take care of Tetsu, take care of him," Kagami hugged the sobbing blunette. Aomine felt his heart wrench on the other line. "I need to attend to the investigation, we're still looking for Akashi so please take care of Tetsu."

"Yessir," was all that Kagami said before hanging up and directing his attention to Kuroko.

"Kagami-kun, Midorima-kun… he… like Shigehiro…" Kagami stroked his back gently. "Because of me he's dead Kagami-kun, because of me," Kagami gulped.

"No, it's not your fault Kuroko, don't say that," Kagami tried to cheer him up but it was futile.

"Kagami-kun, he's out, and he won't stop at nothing to find me, you'll be killed too, everyone I love will be killed!" Kuroko cried bitterly. Kagami watched as Kuroko fell apart in front of him and only hugged him tighter, grabbing the back of his head and stroking his hair tenderly he kissed his other side and made him lean into his neck, his cries muffing out.

"I promised to protect you, and I will keep doing just that," Kagami whispered. Kuroko's heartbeat seemed to start normalizing. "I won't let him hurt anyone, okay?"

"Kagami-kun…" Kuroko turned so that he was looking straight at Kagami, grabbing his neck and pulling him down slightly for a chaste kiss. "I love you, I love you so much…" Kuroko said softly, tears still falling from his eyes, Kagami wiped them away with his thumb. He wasn't sure of his sudden change but he was going to do what he needed and so he grinned and repeated the phrase back to him.

"I love you too," Kagami caressed Kuroko's cheek and Kuroko held his hand. His face seemed broken, reminding Kagami of when they had first met.

The next day, Kuroko's parents had found out about Midorima's death, and they decided to go to Japan. That night his father came in to see Kuroko looking at a picture of their son Ogiwara and one of his friend Midorima.

"You okay Tetsuya?" the older man asked, sitting on the bed and grabbing his shoulder. Kuroko wiped some tears from his eyes.

"Hai, I'm alright," Kuroko replied, his voice was raspy from crying. His father hugged him.

"It's alright, Tetsuya," the man patted Kuroko's head and smiled softly. "I understand what your friend meant to you, and we'll make sure you see him one last time," his father patted his shoulder one more time and gave it a hard squeeze in means to cheer him up. "Be strong, we're leaving the day after tomorrow" Kuroko smiled.

"I really appreciate this," Kuroko thanked him and the man shook his head.

"You rest, we've called the school and you'll be out for a while," the man then left the room and Kuroko looked at the pictures again, his fingers trailing Midorima's frown then looking at Ogiwara's smiling one. He shut his light, his window open, he fell asleep.

Only to wake up in a nightmare, barely three hours later.

Kuroko felt cold and naked, and when his eyes opened slowly, he was in an unknown room, tied to a bed. His eyes opened frantically as he sat up, trying to pull away from the rope around his wrists. Candles were lit all around him and in front of him he heard a chuckle. He looked forward, his heart began beating uncontrollably, his body shivered in fear and his eyes widened in terror. The figure that had been sitting in the shadow stood up and walked towards him slowly, Kuroko recognized the bright eyes and hair right away.

"A-Akashi-kun…" Kuroko's voice trembled, tears welling at the edge of his eyes. Akashi only smiled sweetly, making Kuroko feel sick, the red-haired man tossed a small bag Kuroko's way, making it land on his lap, it was emerald green hair. "Y- You killed Midorima-kun… you… murderer!" Kuroko yelled, anger sipping in his words. His earlier reaction of terror replaced by one of hate.

"If you had been obedient, none of this would had happened now would it?" Akashi said in a low voice, climbing the bed, which dipped under his weight. Kuroko closed his legs and tried to cover as much as he could as Akashi lifted his chin. "But I don't blame you, it was my cousin's fault, always so noisy," Akashi smirked turning Kuroko's head roughly to the side. "Right? Taiga?" Kuroko's eyes widened, Kagami was tied up unconscious in a corner of the room a broken leg and some blood dripped from his head.

"Kagami-kun!" Kuroko cried in terror. Akashi scowled at the attention being given to the taller redhead.

"Don't worry, he's still alive, he should awaken to see you in my arms," Akashi said as he kissed Kuroko's face. Kuroko gritted his teeth.

"Leave Kagami-kun alone, take him back!" Kuroko fought only to receive a strong bite on his neck drawing some blood, Kuroko let out a small scream in pain Akashi licked the wound.

"Be quiet Tetsuya," Akashi threatened, Kuroko only glared at him. "Well look at that, who would know the day would come when Tetsuya would glare at me," with a rough jerk Akashi spread it Kuroko's legs. "I guess someone forgot their manners," A finger entered Kuroko's hole. Kuroko only winced in pain, trying to close his legs and kick forward but Akashi kept them open.

"Let go!" Kuroko yelled, eyes wide in terror, his body slowly remembering dark nights under crimson sheets with painful memories.

"What? Don't you this all the time with Taiga? Huh?" Akashi began to retort, anger visible in his eyes as well. He added another finger, making Kuroko cringe, and another, Kuroko could feel himself tearing and some blood drip. Akashi's other hand began to stroke him and play with him, Kuroko tried to held back any noise, his face was red in shame, his eyes still darting over at where Kagami was knocked out. "Stop looking at him!" Akashi finally said, burying his fingers deep inside Kuroko.

"AH! Nnh- Sto- Stop!" Kuroko struggled. Akashi removed his fingers, undoing his belt and sitting up. Soon Kuroko felt something touch his cheek.

"Suck," Akashi's eyes were dark and filled with anger. Kuroko closed his eyes, enclosing his mouth around Akashi's erection and beginning to suck, his eyes looking at Kagami's direction, he heard Akashi groan in pleasure. "You're still so good with your mouth, tell me do you do the same with Taiga?" Akashi asked, grabbing a handful of Kuroko's hair and making him gag, he pulled him away and Kuroko coughed loudly.

"Kagami-kun is not like you," Kuroko murmured, the red-haired emperor glared at him, lifting his legs and entering him. Kuroko bit his lower lip. He would not succumb to Akashi, not anymore.

"Not like me huh," Akashi murmured, thrusting as hard as he could into Kuroko, not caring about the small pained sounds that did scape Kuroko's mouth. He began playing with his body, pinching skin, kissing his nipples, biting, leaving him marked once again. And finally, he kissed him once again, after all that time, he was kissing him, he tasted as sweet as the first time he had kissed him, the blunette bit his lip roughly. Making Akashi pull away, blood dripping from his lip.

"Don't… don't kiss me," Kuroko panted, his face flushed and tears coming from his eyes. "Don't make me… don't make me remember Akashi-kun!" Kuroko fought, Akashi was still thrusting into him. He felt his heart tighten.

"How come you never loved me, Tetsuya, why…" Akashi asked, still thrusting into Kuroko. Who was now crying, he felt Akashi come inside him, filling him deep. Akashi pulled away, touching Kuroko's face gently. "Was I not enough, Tetsuya?" Kuroko could only look at him with hate, but more towards himself because in a way, he hated himself more for never stopping him, for caring so much about the red-haired emperor.

"Akashi-kun, please untie me," Kuroko said softly. Kuroko was exhausted and he let Akashi hug him close, he saw Kagami awake. Eyes wide in anger.

"Seijuuro, let go of Kuroko!" he tried to stand but was attacked by a strong pain. He howled in pain, his leg was broken.

"Kagami-kun!" Kuroko looked relief at seeing Kagami awake and Akashi noticed this. He stood up stepping on Kagami's broken leg, Kuroko yelled at him to stop but Akashi smiled at Kagami's screams of pain. He picked up a crowbar he had brought and made it collide roughly against Kagami's other leg, Kagami screamed louder, tears running down his face.

"You thought I would go away? Taiga?" Akashi asked, gripping his hair roughly, making him look up at him. Kagami spat at him.

"Fuck you, you fucking psycho," Kagami yelled in his face, Akashi kicked his face. Happy to see Kuroko crying over the tiger. Akashi then grabbed Kagami by the hair and began to drag him towards the door, bright light entered, it looked like they were in some type of cabin, by a cliff. Akashi threw him in the ground and entered the room once more, this time dragging Kuroko out.

"Tetsuya, I'll give you this option," Akashi began slowly. "I'll let Kagami live, but you have to come with me," Kuroko looked at the bleeding Kagami and at Akashi.

"I'll come with you, Akashi-kun, but please, leave Kagami-kun alone, please," Kuroko begged, tears staining his pretty face. Akashi smiled, he removed his shirt and wrapped Kuroko on it, walking towards the edge of the cliff, Kuroko knew what was going to happen, and he knew this is how it would end one day. Kuroko stared at Akashi from where he was standing in the door. Kuroko began walking forward, feeling Kagami grab his ankle. Kuroko bent down to see Kagami's bruised face, his eyes were pleading with him.

"Don't Kuroko… don't go," Kuroko lifted Kagami's face, tears streamed down both of their eyes. Kuroko kissed the tiger's lips softly.

"Please live, Kagami-kun, please keep living," Kuroko let go. "I love you, Taiga" he whispered against his hair and then stood up, walking towards Akashi. Akashi threw Kagami what seemed like a phone, a paper attached.

"Tetsuya! Don't!" Kagami yelled, trying to crawl towards Kuroko, the pain was killing him and the tears wouldn't stop. Kuroko's eyes were red from crying, Akashi grabbed his hand and began walking forward.

"Are you scared?" Akashi asked, blocking away the sound of Kagami behind them. Kuroko shook his head, looking back at Kagami one last time.

"No," was all that he answered. Akashi smiled softly, Kuroko held his cheeks as Akashi embraced him and they fell from the cliff. Kagami screamed in agony for Kuroko.

"I love you, Tetsuya," Akashi whispered. Kuroko looked at the glossy red eyes of Akashi and began crying.

"I love you too, Seijuuro" Kuroko smiled crookedly. There was no way they would survive that fall, Akashi kissed the blunette one last time before they fell to their death. Bathe in the red of their blood amongst the stained white field of flowers.

[Six Years Later]

A tall figure with short flaming red hair and darkened tips walked in the streets of Japan like any other normal man. He walked with a slight misstep on his legs resulting from an accident years ago. He entered a burger joint ordering a mountain of cheeseburgers, he went on to find a seat. Looking out the window. It was getting dark.

"Hello," came a small voice in front of him. He choked, looking forward to see a teenager in front of him. His eyes widened in utter shock, he punched his chest to allow the food to go through. As he stared at the small male in front of him.

Kagami Taiga was a 24 year old firefighter and a High School PE teacher, soon to start the Basketball team of the new school Seirin High, and right now, in front of him, he was seeing Kuroko Tetsuya. Tears suddenly came to his eyes.

"How long have you been there?" Kagami asked dumbly. The boy blinked.

"I've been here the whole time, Sensei," Kagami's eye twitched, and soon enough he saw the boy's uniform. It was from his school.

"Who are you?" Kagami asked. The boy tilted his head.

"My name's Kuroko Tetsuya, is something wrong sensei? You're crying," Kagami didn't know if this was a cruel joke or reality but he chose to accept it. Kuroko wanted him to live and now he really had a reason to.

"Kuroko," Kagami began to laugh, tears falling from his eyes. The boy was not sure why but his heart ached for the taller reed-haired man, beating for him. "Don't leave me this time," Kagami bent to kiss the boy's forehead and the boy accepted the kiss with reddening cheeks.

"Sensei, we're in public," the boy blushed, sipping on none other than, vanilla shake.

[Tragic/Happy End] FIN

I cried while writing this and could not bring myself to end it too tragically, in the end, I made it so that it was set in the past or something like that. Not sure yet, you guys can guess. For the Kuroko that appeared so suddenly, I'm sorry I had to, I just couldn't even. I want to thank everyone for sticking with the story and it was real fun to write, please stay with us this following year as well. Also, Akashi's eyes changed to their original color in the end which is why Kuroko cried, god, I cried for a while.

Conscious: Let us know if you cried too! With love, Fabi and me. This story is now complete~!
