A/N: LAST CHAPTER WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

"So your name is Gilbert, eh? I'm Antoinette, it's nice to make your acquaintance."

Prussia took Antoinette's extended hand and shook it firmly. Her grip was bonecrushing, and it made the nation fear her even more.

"Now Gilbert, I haven't known Mathieu for very long, but let me tell you," the French girl's expression darkened, "if you dare make him upset in any way I will find where you live and-"

"Antoinette, you don't need to bully him! Gil's already getting enough crap from Alfred as it is, he doesn't need two overprotective psychopaths after him," Canada laughed.

"Heh, I guess you're right," giggled Antoinette. "You guys should stop talking to me and go do… boyfriend things."

Matthew could feel his stomach doing backflips. Three million butterflies flew around inside him as he bathed in the warmth of Antoinette's words.

Boyfriend.

Just the word made him feel jittery and excited.

"I like that idea," Prussia smirked and winked towards Canada. The amount of butterflies frantically flying in Matthew multiplied.

The German grabbed his boyfriend's hand and lead him to the elevator.

"Close your eyes," Gilbert instructed before pressing a location button on the elevator door. When he was finished, Gilbert wrapped his arms around Matthew. Soothing warmth surrounded the Canadian's body like a thick cloak

"That feels nice," Matthew sighed into Prussia's neck. The blonde rested his head on his boyfriend's shoulder, eyes still closed.

Beep. Beep.

The elevator door opened up lethargically to reveal a beautiful roof-top garden. Flowers of every shape, size, and color blossomed, creating graceful designs. A gentle wind blew pale pink petals off of a cherry blossom tree, even though it was out of season.

Matthew, gasped, taken aback by the natural beauty of the garden.

"I take it you like it?" Gilbert laughed, walking towards the edge of the roof. "Come over here, the view is awesome!"

All of Paris could be seen from the balcony- the buildings appeared tiny and precious, and the Eiffel Tower could be seen in the distance. Matthew felt his heart leap uncomfortably to his throat as he looked directly down.

We're really up high. Really, really, really high.

Matthew's head began to spin at the...unpleasant thoughts in his mind. He stepped back, right into Gilbert's (safe) arms.

"You okay there, Birdie?"

"Yeah I just…I just don't like heights."

Gilbert turned Matthew around so that they were face to face.

His face is really close.

If he wanted to, Canada could just lean a bit forward and kiss Prussia. Apparently the German had already thought of that and tilted his head forwards, tugging Matthew into a chaste kiss.

Matthew couldn't help but notice how much Gilbert smelled like the hotel soap as the latter hugged him closer. Matthew's hands snaked up to the albino's hair, clutching him tightly. This wasn't like the fierce, passionate kiss from the party at Francis's house- it was sweetness, through and through. When the need for something stupid called air was becoming a problem, their lips unwillingly parted, and Matthew rested his head lovingly against Gilbert's. His hand's went from his hair to Gilbert's smooth back, hugging him closer (if that was possible).

"What did I ever do to deserve someone as awesome as you?" Prussia murmured, smiling lazily and running his fingers through Matthew's silky blonde hair.

"I don't know," Matthew laughed. "But, I have to ask: why me? There are plenty of other people who are much more talented than me and much more attractive…"

"That might be so, but," Gilbert grinned, "No one else makes me feel like this." He made an awkward waving motion in the air with both of his hands, and Matthew held in a giggle. "Whenever I talked to you before I always had butterflies in my stomach. It took me awhile to realize it, but I'm in love with you, and I have been for a long time."

"How long is a long time?"

Prussia furrowed his brow in thought. "Remember the time when we went to get ice cream and the ice cream truck had no ice cream so we got frozen-yogurt instead?"

Matthew nodded, Better than you would think.

"I admitted to myself that I was in love a few days before that. Francis told me that I should ask you out then but…I couldn't do it."

With a giggle, Canada wrapped his arms around Prussia's neck. "You're a doofus."

Matthew gently kissed Prussia on the cheek, whose face turned a bright shade of scarlet.

"Flight 2D will be boarding in approximately ten minutes. Passengers please line up to board the plane."

Alfred F. Jones tapped his foot impatiently against the airport's carpeted floor. To be honest, he couldn't wait until he returned to his home in America; he was just sick and tired of all of the lovey dovey things that came from being in France. Matthew and the German bastard weren't an exception. He glared holes into the albino currently hugging his brother, and glanced at Ludwig, who was standing place in line. The tall blonde didn't look so comfortable with his brother's actions either, but decided to ignore the two.

"...and I'll call you every night I can, okay, Birdie?"

"I promise to ask my boss if I could visit soon!" Matthew added.

"You better," Prussia smiled, ruffling his boyfriend's hair.

America sighed and dragged himself over to the new couple. "C'mon, Matt, we gotta get ready to go."

"'Kay Al, one sec'," Matthew called to his brother before turning back to Gilbert. "I'll see you soon."

"Uhhhggg Matt, hurry up," Alfred whined.

"A-alright, sorry Gil."

Matthew began to turn away but Gilbert swiftly grabbed his wrist and gave him a final kiss before saying goodbye to the Canadian.

On the side, Alfred groaned at the cliche-ness of everything. "You guys are gross."

"You're just jealous that you don't have a totally awesome boyfriend like Birdie!" Gilbert jeered.

"Put a sock in it," America moaned, dragging Matthew away a leading him to the line where plane passengers were gathering.

"See you later, Gil!" Matthew called out.

America rolled his eyes. This "little brother having a boyfriend" this would take some getting used to.

Matthew couldn't wipe the stupid grin off his face the whole plane ride.

"Would ya stop smiling like that, you're probably scaring the other passengers," Alfred commented a few hours into the trip.

"Heh," the embarrassed Canadian laughed awkwardly, face flushing a light pink. "Sorry, I can't help myself!"

It's hard not to smile when you know that someone loves you.

A/N: I FINALLY FINISHED

To be honest, rereading this story, I am not proud of this. I feel like the plot was bland, the resolution came to quickly, and the characters were not nearly developed as much as they could be. I think that the reason for all of this is

because I did not have fun writing this story towards the end, and I did not fully plan out my ideas.

Despite my own personal opinion on it, I hope you enjoyed my first finished fanfiction. Please leave a review (harsh or not I really don't care)!

I don't know what you should be expecting in the future, so be prepared of anything :D. Most likely I'll be writing a few one-shots for different fandoms/ships.

See you later!
