"…You are having a…"

Sonny's POV:
"…girl, you are having a little girl."

As the doctor announced the gender of our baby I was filled with a surge of happiness and a range of emotions, none of which were bad. I hadn't felt this way since before the accident.

As the doctor finished the check up and wiped the gel off my bump, that with me now being 5 almost 6 months pregnant had become considerably rounder, I shared longing glances with Chad. I knew he had always wanted a little daddy's girl that he could tuck in at night. He must be overjoyed.

Doctor Springer briefed us on everything that we might need to know over the final trimester and let us go on our way. As we walked out of the exam room, hand in hand, I felt Chad's fingers brush over the engagement ring I wore with pride every single day.

Chad's POV:
As we finally made it to the car I couldn't shake the feeling I had. It was a feeling of joyous emotions, which were made even more indulgent by having Sonny by my side. She was giving me one of the things I desired most, a baby with someone I loved more than myself, (which believe me, is a difficult for THE CDC to accomplish). Once in the car and away from prying eyes me and Sonny both made our feelings public to one another. As she shrieked with happiness, I allowed a smile, over double the size of my normal mouth, to edge its way across my face.

"Sonny, I love you so much!" I confessed.

"No, Chad, I love you more. You've stuck by me through thick and thin, through times where most guys would have packed their bags and ran. You had more than enough chances, but you stuck by me, and on any given day I would choose yours and our baby's companionship over anything else I could be offered. I love you to the moon and back. Ok?" Sonny questioned, with tears glinting in her eyes.

And who was I to object, I knew how she felt and I loved her more, but I was as sure as hell not going to get into a fight about who loved the other the most at an exciting time like this, so I agreed.

"Ok." I replied smiling.

With that settled, I smiled to myself, as I pressed my foot down on the accelerator and drove Sonny and me safely home.

Sonny's POV:
The next morning I awoke to a bright light hazing my vision. After my eyes adjusted I realised I was at Chad's penthouse, which I still hadn't got used to calling my own home. I noticed Chad wasn't in bed, but my worries we easily silenced when he walked through the bedroom door with a tray of breakfast.

"Food for you and my darling daughter!" Chad exclaimed, seeming VERY pleased with his efforts. He had made scrambled egg on toast with a peppermint tea.

"Thanks Chad, I didn't know you could cook?" I answered, surprised.

"I've been taking a culinary course down at the local college to try and make my cooking skills expectable for when the baby comes!" He said proudly.

"Ah, Chad, that's so sweet! You do know that I don't think she will be a food critic anytime soon though!" I teased.

"Yeah, I know, but I just want to help support things, and you of course." Chad sighed as he stroked my hair while I ate. "Oh and Sonny, I've thought of a middle name for our daughter," Chad added.

"Oh, yeah what is it, and why?" I was very intrigued as to what name was great enough to lead Chad to deciding upon it so soon.

"Taelyn," Chad stated, "I chose it because, firstly I love it and it means …., and also because I wanted to link it to Tawni, as she has been such a good friend to you during this tough time, so I wanted to thank he in the name, by having it start with a T." Chad explained.

Not only did I love the name and the meaning, but I loved the way he gave recognition to Tawni for everything she had done for me.

"Oh Chad I love it, it's so sweet and I love original names. I can't wait to tell Tawni. I think I'll keep it a surprise until the birth. Along with the gender." I said, smiling.

"So how about you Sonny, given any thought to the name of our child?" Chad wondered intently.

"Well I have a top five; Belle, Rose, Ariella, Emandah, Emmy for short and Opal." I announced. Having loved all these named since the first grade when I started planning the names of my children, I found it difficult to pick between them.

"There all beautiful, but maybe now we have a middle name we can see which fits best with that, or base it on what she looks like when she's born?" Chad inquired.

"I think they all fit, so maybe we should wait until the birth, what do you think?"

"Agreed." I stated bluntly.

But there was something else playing on my mind.

I hadn't yet told Chad, but I had lately been wondering about when the baby does come. I wasn't sure if Chad realised how much our lives were going to change, constant diaper changing, late night feedings and juggling school and work schedules. I didn't know if he planned to take time off, or if I was going to be left alone from that get go, and that scared me.

"Chad, what's your plan for when the baby comes?" I asked.

But I was scared of what the answer may be…

Sorry I haven't updated in a while school has been hectic and I am now on holiday, enjoy the sun abroad. I took a break from the heat and decided it was time to write the next chapter, (at 2am). I will try and update more now I have time. This chapter isn't one of the most exciting, so sorry about that, but I assure you the next one will include much more drama!

I was considering throwing Marvin back into the mix to stir thing up, among other things, what might you guys think about that?

Also, now it's definitely a girl I would like to decide on a final name. The top five choices were stated above:

Emandah (Emmy)

Ariella

Belle

Rose

Opal

I was considering Elsa, as thanks to Frozenmylife for the idea of why the name Taelyn, (even though I changed the spelling), should be used. What do you guys think the baby should be called?

Thanks again.
