Hey, everyone! Draconeelans here with the next chapter of Rosario + Aragami. Sorry about such a wait since the last update, my mind didn't want to sort out ideas for my two stories. I kept going back and forth, never making any real progress. I've decided, and hopefully this idea will work for me, that I'm going to work on one story for now, and if I ever hit writer's block, then I'll work on my other one. I can only hope that I'll be able to stick to this plan. As such, updates for my other story may be awhile. As always, I ask that my readers to be patient. There is no way in hell that I'm giving up on my other story, I just want to try writing one at a time, instead of both at once.

Well, enough rambling from me, let's get on with the story!

The next morning, after his talk with his friends the previous night about what he was, Ren was currently walking down the path toward Yokai Academy. Along the way, he noticed that many of the students seemed to be avoiding him, moving out of his path as he got near them.

'Guess word of the pool incident spread...' he thought. He had seen a look of slight fear in some students, but many also held skepticism. He only guessed they were only avoiding him so as not to test whether or not his powers were true, or make him angry. He eventually spotted Moka ahead of him, leaning against a tree.

"Good morning, Moka." Ren greeted happily to the smiling girl.

"Good morning, Ren!" Moka excitedly greeted back, "Um... Ren?"

Ren looked at her for a second, before lowering his shirt collar, "Go ahead," he told her with a small smile. She immediately jumped onto the young Aragami, sinking her fangs into his neck. Though he would never admit it, Ren found that Moka biting him was an... interestingly nice sensation. He didn't let himself dwell on that as Moka let go, after about 10 seconds, a satisfied look on her face.

"Thank you for the treat Ren!" she exclaimed happily, "I really love the taste of your blood!"

"Good to know." Ren said, smiling as he did. "Come on let's get to class." With that, the two friends made their way to the Academy.

Classes seemed to go rather quickly and smoothly. Before Ren knew it, classes were over and he and Moka met up with Kurumu in the school hallways.

"Ren!" Kurumu chirped with a blush on her face, "Today's our first club day right?"

"Of course," Ren said, before he got shoved into her cleavage again when she hugged him, just like any other day.

"Wah! Kurumu!" Moka exclaimed, seeing her doing the same thing she did almost every day.

"I'm just so happy to be in the same club as you, Ren!" Kurumu smiled, completely oblivious to Ren being suffocated.

As Ren was prying himself out of Kurumu's grip, he was thinking to himself, 'Yep, my parents will never let me live this down...'

The three of them eventually got to the classroom that Miss Nekonome had designated as the Newspaper Clubroom. When they got there, they sat down in some of the empty desks. It was then that Miss Nekonome popped up from behind the front desk, a newspaper in her hands.

"Well everyone," she spoke cheerfully, "thanks for joining my club! So let's begin the activities for the Yokai Academy Newspaper Club!"

The trio was a bit taken back by her words. Other than them, the room was completely empty.

'We're the only members?' they all thought.

"Umm, Sensei?" Ren spoke up, "Are we the only members of the club?"

"Don't be silly!" the feline teacher said.

As if on cue, the door to the room slid open. "Sorry about that! Here I am, late on the first day." Walking in was a boy around 16. He had red-violet eyes and black hair, that was held back by a red headband. He wore the same uniform as any of the other male students, but without the tie. His shirt was also open slightly which showed a wolf-head pendant that he wore around his neck. He was also holding bouquets of roses in his hands.

"Hey there," he greeted, giving a flashy smile as he did, "I'm the president of this Newspaper Club, Ginei Morioka. You can call me Gin though."

Gin continued grinning as he walked forward to meet the group of friends. He handed a bouquet to Moka and Kurumu, smiling charmingly as he did. "Gotta say, the club definitely lucked out to have ladies as beautiful as you two join."

'There's something off about him...' Ren thought, as he rolled his eyes, waiting for Gin to stop flirting with his friends. Whatever it was that was bugging him though, Ren pushed the thought aside, thinking it was just his imagination.

It was then that Gin turned to him. Ren noticed his smile falter slightly as he saw the last member of the club.

"You must be Ren Amamiya," Gin said, his smile returning, "I've heard all the rumors about you."

"And, what exactly would those rumors be?" Ren asked.

"Nothing much," he replied, "Just those concerning your monster type. As well as your brutality in a fight." Ren flinched slightly at that comment, he really didn't want to be reminded of that.

"I only get like that when I'm mad," Ren told him, "Otherwise, I would much rather avoid fights, unless my friends are threatened." Moka and Kurumu both blushed slightly, knowing Ren was telling the truth.

"Well than we've got nothing to worry about!" Gin stated, still smiling, "Since we're all going to be working together, I'm sure we'll get along great!" Ren smiled, at least Gin seemed like an okay guy.

"Well it looks like things are under control," Miss Nekonome stated, "I'll leave things to you Gin!"

"Huh? You're leaving Sensei?" Ren didn't get an answer as Miss Nekonome left without another word.

"Well, with that," Gin stood at the front of the room, "First, let me explain what kind of club this is." The others were silent as they listened to his explanation. "We have one simple objective as the Newspaper Club: the publication of the school newspaper! Our duty is to uncover any and all things that are of interest to the school, even if it costs us our lives! You'd better be prepared! This isn't a club for slackers!"

"Wow," Ren chuckled, "Serious much?"

"You gotta be serious if you want a story for the public," Gin said, "Now then, our first order of business: catching a pervert. There have been numerous reports of someone peeking in on the girls changing room and even on the girls dorms. No one has been able to get a good look at him and he's fast enough that no one has been able to catch him in the act."

"The fact that he's been spotted at all is a start," Ren stated, "If he was fast enough to avoid capture, I wouldn't have been surprised if he's managed to avoid attention at all." The girls agreed with Ren.

"Good point," Gin agreed as well, "Still, the fact that he's still at large is troublesome." The three freshmen nodded in agreement. Ren never liked perverts. His sister had to deal with some at times recently, before he came here. Being the big brother he is, he got very protective of her. He only hoped she was doing alright without him.

"Okay," Gin's voice snapped Ren out of his thoughts, "Our first assignment is to interview people who claim to have caught a glimpse of this guy. While doing that, we're going to place advertisement's for our club around the school."

Ren and the girls sweatdropped at that notion. Gin was apparently still looking for more members. Despite having two of the school beauties as members, the club was still small.

"Don't let this halt your investigation," Gin continued, "Let's catch this guy!"

"Alright!" the others cheered.

Moka and Kurumu had the task of placing the posters around the school, while Ren and Gin went around talking to the victims of the pervert, trying to get as much information as they could. The two groups eventually met up back at the clubroom, Moka and Kurumu needing more posters.

"Did you guys find anything?" Moka asked.

"Nada," Ren answered, looking over his notes as he did, "Although we probably could have gotten more info if Gin here wasn't flirting with every girl we talked to."

"Hey, I was merely trying to get them to feel comfortable," Gin countered, "That way they'd feel it was alright to talk."

"Whatever," Ren sighed, "Like Gin said at the beginning, no one has really gotten a good look at the guy. All they saw was a weird shadow peeking at them, but before they could get a closer look, the guy bolted."

"He's a slippery one," Gin muttered.

"So you guys have nothing?" Kurumu asked disappointingly.

Ren thought for a minute. "Maybe this guy is using his true form to peek," he said after a moment, "I don't see how he can be so fast otherwise."

"That could be a clue," Moka said, "Not many monsters can move that fast."

"It's something," Ren trailed off, thinking back to that book from his mother. He remembered reading about a monster that was incredibly fast, but he couldn't quite remember what that monster was.

"Ren?" Moka asked, snapping Ren out of his thoughts. He had been quiet for a while, a serious look on his face.

"Oh! Sorry about that," he told her, "I was just thinking. Although the true form thing is a clue, it still doesn't really help matters much. If we want to catch this guy, we need to catch him in the act."

"And that's going to be the hard part," Gin nodded. He then looked over to Ren, "Hey, one of the girls I interviewed mentioned she saw a suspicious person near one corner of the campus. Could be a solid lead."

"Could be," Ren said, holding his head in his hand.

"Ren," Moka asked, "Are you alright?"

"Huh? Oh, yeah," he told her, "Just a headache. It's been bothering me since classes got out." It was true. Ever since they started interviewing the students, his head had been throbbing. "My mind is probably still a little worn out." he got up to leave, "As much as I want to follow your lead and catch this guy Gin, I'm afraid I'm going to have to say I can't. Sorry."

Gin waved it off, "Don't worry about it. We wouldn't want you overworking yourself, that would make it even harder to find this guy if you're not in top condition."

"Thanks," Ren told the club president, "We'll check it out tomorrow, I'm sure I'll be feeling better by then."

"Might as well call it a day," Gin told the other members, "Get some rest Newspaper Club! You'll need all your energy for tomorrow." They all agreed and went back to their dorms.

As Ren got to his dorm, he was thinking up a reason as to why his head hurt like it did. He came up with a couple of reasons, both based off of his talk with his mother the previous night as well as the incident at the pool. His mind was still trying to get used to the monster energy that permeated the air.

His mind was still recovering from fighting off his rage, and going around talking to nervous or irate girls, whose energies, weak as they were, fluctuated with their mood. The overall effect was what was making his head hurt, he just hoped nothing pushed him, lest he lose it again.

Sighing, he got ready for bed, but not before he pulled out the Yokai-book as he called it, the book his mother had given him. He skimmed through it, until he found what he was looking for. Reading the entry, he came to the conclusion that the peeper they were looking for was very likely the monster described.

'Definitely going to have to be careful...' he thought, putting the book away and yawning. He then proceeded to get in bed, passing out almost as soon as his head hit the pillow.

The next day, Ren was definitely feeling better, and he hoped it stayed that way. The usual morning events occurred with the girls, blood sucking and smothering, before they all headed to class.

After class, Ren found himself walking down one of the hallways, the girls not with him at the time.

"Yo, Ren!" Tunring around, Ren saw Gin walking up to him.

"What's up?" Ren asked as the club president stopped in front of him.

"Just checking how you're doing," he told Ren, "Your head feeling better?"

"Yeah, much," Ren responded.

"That's good! Anyway, I wanted to get your help following that lead from yesterday." Gin said, getting a little serious.

"That lead could be a dead-end by now." Ren pointed out.

"True," Gin admitted, "But you never know, we might find a clue of sorts."

Ren thought about Gin's words. Cold trail or not, he was right. There could be the possibility of a clue or something being there. It was worth a shot, slim as it was, though Ren had an odd feeling in his gut. Ignoring it for the moment, he looked back at his club president, "Alright, let's check it out."

"Great, let's go!" Gin exclaimed. He quickly turned and left. As Ren got ready to follow, the odd feeling came back, along with a thought crossing his mind. Gin had been a little too quick to mention the lead he had heard yesterday, and was definitely quick to look into it, even though it was highly unlikely anything was there. Once more, a thought that something was off with Gin, like he was hiding something, passed through Ren's head. Unlike last time however, he didn't shove the thought aside.

'The guy's hiding something...' Ren thought, following the club president. Neither of them noticed that they were being watched by a certain bluenette, who quickly, yet quietly, began following them.

The two eventually found themselves in the back of the academy, in an area that looked like nobody would ever set foot in the area, period. Ren wondered what Gin was up to.

"Alright, my source told me that the pervert likes to hang around this area," Gin explained, "And I bet it has something to do with that window." He pointed to the window in question.

"What's in there?" Ren asked. As he did, he focused his hearing and was able to clearly hear the sound of girls chatting.

"Why don't you take a look inside?" the sophomore prompted, "It's a real riot!"

"And how would you know?" Ren asked, anger barely contained in his voice. Judging from the sound of the girls on the other side of the window, and Gin telling him to look, odds were that Gin was trying to set him up, getting him to look at girls that were very likely changing. To say that Ren wasn't exactly happy about that thought was an understatement. "How long are you going to keep up this charade?" Ren then demanded.

"What do you mean?" Gin asked, trying to sound innocent. But Ren, who was never a good liar, yet was able to spot liars himself, saw right through it.

"It's not that hard to figure out," Ren nearly growled, "One, you were flirting with every girl we interviewed, including my friends. Two, the fact that your trying to persuade me to look through a window into a room that girls are likely changing in. Three, the fact that you had to know the second fact in order to try and get me to look. Put it all together, I believe your the pervert, wolf-face." Ren said the last part with a small smirk.

"Well aren't you clever," Gin said, surprised (though he didn't show it) that the freshman was able to figure out his plan so quickly. He had also, somehow, missed the 'wolf-face' comment. "Not to mention lucky too."

"What do you mean?" Ren asked coldly, his smirk vanishing.

"From what I've heard, you and Moka seem to have a good relationship, and that she even kisses your neck."

Ren growled quietly, his hands clenching into fists. His eyes changed slightly, becoming red-orange, though it went unnoticed at the moment.

"Moka's even better than I heard, you know," he continued, "I really like her. And I'm going to make sure that she becomes my woman!" That did it.

Ren snarled, a fiery sword materializing in his right hand. The point of which he held toward Gin's neck. The sophomore's eyes bugged out of his head when he saw Ren bring a weapon, one made completely out of a dark fire at that, out of thin air. He also saw his eyes, they were glowing orange, the pupils narrow slits. And they had a look that promised pain.

"Hey hey, calm down," he held his hands up in defense as he backed away a little, "Let's not settle this here. Meet me at the school rooftop tonight, we'll finish this there," he then smirked, "With you out of the way I can have Moka and Kurumu all to myself! See ya!" He then appeared to vanish, though Ren knew otherwise.

Dismissing his flame, Ren closed his eyes and took a deep breath, feeling himself calm almost immediately. When he opened his eyes again though, the anger at Gin was still present. He may be angry, but he didn't want to get enraged again, he had to stay calm. He didn't want to kill the guy, just make sure he learned his lesson. 'If he even does...' Ren thought to himself as he walked away.

From behind one corner of the building, Kurumu had hid herself, and heard the whole thing.

"I gotta tell Moka," she whispered and ran back to the school.

That night, Ren was standing on the rooftop, the full moon shining down on the academy, bathing it in a luminescent glow. His eyes seemed to stare off into space, looking at nothing, yet he wasn't in dreamworld. He was using an enhanced sixth sense of his, one that let him sense the energy of those within a certain range; which at his age, is somewhere between 10-20 feet. Older Aragami could sense things from hundreds of yards away, if they concentrated that is, hence Ren's 'spaced out' look. Sensing someone behind him, Ren turned to see Gin by the doorway to the roof.

"Glad you made it," he told the young Aragami, smiling the whole time.

"Glad you didn't chicken out, fuzzball," Ren replied, leveling a glare at the upperclassman.

"Fuzzball?" Gin questioned, before his eyes widened, "Don't tell me..."

"Yes, I figured out your true form," Ren smirked, "Wasn't too hard. You practically stank of dog. That, and your little 'vanishing act' you pulled before, was really a testament to your speed." Ren's smirk then vanished, "Only a werewolf can be that fast."

"Like I had said earlier, you're quite clever." Gin said, before he leveled his own glare at the teen in front of him, "And I'm really getting annoyed with you. You think your so tough, having taken down a couple of students, figured out my true form, and having two girls wanting your attention?! Well I'm not buying it!"

Gin's body began swelling with raw power. His face became a dog-like snout, his teeth sharpening into fangs. His hands became clawed, and his body became covered in gray fur, a wolf tail growing from his back.

'I knew it... He's a werewolf,' Ren merely returned Gin's glare, not phased by the upperclassman's transformation.

"REN!"

The shout drew the attention of the two soon-to-be combatants. Moka and Kurumu stood in the doorway, a look of shock on their faces as they looked at the two, mostly directed toward Gin's true form.

Gin gave a toothy grin, "Well, since those two are here, I can prove my superiority. BY KILLING YOU!" he shot toward Ren as he yelled the last part. Ren barely managed to avoid the first hit, but couldn't avoid a slash and punch combination that the wolf launched. The attack sent Ren flying back, kicking up a cloud of dust as he landed. Gin smirked again, "Too easy."

"Ren, no!" Moka tried to go to her friend's aid, but Kurumu held her back.

"Moka, don't! You don't stand a chance against Gin!" she shouted.

"We have to do something!" Moka argued.

Gin turned to the girls, "Why do you still hang over that guy?" he asked them, to which the girls merely glared hatefully at him, "Come on, I'm obviously stronger."

"I wouldn't be so sure of that," a familiar voice stated, before Gin was suddenly hit from behind by a powerful blow, one that sent him skidding into the wall by the door. Shaking his head as he got up, he glared at who would dare hit him.

When he saw who it was, his glare turned to shock. Ren was standing there, not a scratch on his body, though his clothes were a little dirty and torn. He was also in his half-form. The silvery gauntlet on his left arm, black and gold tail waving behind him. His eyes were glowing orange, the slit pupils glaring at the transformed upperclassman.

"Ren!" the girls happily exclaimed, running to their friends side.

"How are you still up!?" Gin demanded.

"Your attack was powerful," Ren told him, "But you're going to need a lot more than that to take me down." He then got into a crouching stance, ready for anything Gin tried. Moka and Kurumu wisely stepped back, giving room for the two fighters. The two noticed that the back of Ren's jacket had tears from Gin's claws in it. Yet his body appeared undamaged, no scratches or anything. Not even any residual blood.

"You little runt!" Gin snarled, dashing toward Ren. Ren tried to counterattack by swiping his gauntlet in a backhand blow, but he only hit air.

"Where are you swinging?" Gin taunted, now standing above the doorway. Ren looked over to his opponent, a snarl evident on his face. "If you knew I was a werewolf, then you should know I would be fast!" Gin then leaped toward Ren, dashing around him with blinding speed, striking multiple blows with his claws. Unable to counterattack properly, Ren was forced into a defensive stance, his arms crossed in front of him. "A vampire may be the tops in power, but we werewolves have speed! The fuller the moon, the faster we are! A werewolf under the full moon, IS UNBEATABLE!"

"Ren!" Moka yelled. Ren was virtually defenseless, unable to do anything against the werewolf. She tried to rush in to help him, but Kurumu held her back.

"Moka, look!" She said, pointing to Ren.

Ren's tail had curled around him, probably acting as a shield in addition to his gauntlet, but that's not what Kurumu had noticed. As Gin struck at Ren, his clothes were being torn away, revealing skin that was undamaged by the werewolf's attacks.

'What the hell?!' Gin thought in surprise, pulling away from his attack and looking toward the defending Aragami, 'I know I'm hitting him, so where's the blood?'

Ren tore off the remainder of his jacket and shirt, revealing his body to be unscathed by the attack. Moka and Kurumu blushed slightly, Ren's body was well built, in the athletic sense. "You know how hard it is to make my clothes?" Ren said in annoyance.

Gin found Ren's comment odd, considering all the boys wore the same uniform, but he ignored it. "Why the hell aren't you hurt?!" he demanded, "I know I was hitting you!"

"Like I said earlier," Ren smirked, obviously amused by the wolf's confusion, "It's going to take a lot more power than you have to hurt me."

"Hmph, it doesn't matter! You're still slower than me!" Gin declared, "ACCEPT IT! AS LONG AS THE MOON IS IN THE SKY, YOU'RE HELPLESS!" he then dashed forward to deliver a killing blow, his claws ready, "NOW DIE, AMAMIYA!"

"REN!" both girls yelled.

That was when Gin's wrist was caught, shocking the werewolf as Ren was glaring right at him, "IMPOSSIBLE! HOW DID YOU-!?"

"Does that have anything to do with it?" Ren pointed upward.

Gin looked up to see that the moon was half hidden by the clouds. He was both shocked and confused by that, "THE MOON'S HIDDEN!? BUT I SHOULD STILL BE ABLE TO OUTRACE YOU! EVEN IF THE MOON'S HALF COVERED, I SHOULD STILL BE FASTER! HOW-!?"

"I'm faster than you think," Ren told the upperclassman, his grip tightening, "And my reaction time is pretty quick too." Ren flexed his left hand, the one not holding onto Gin's wrist.

The werewolf growled, his muzzle developing a grin, "Ha! Who needs the moon anyway? My power runs deep! NOW DIE, RUNT!"

Ren retaliated by swinging his fist in a powerful blow, hitting Gin in the head. Keeping his grip on the werewolf's wrist and using the momentum from his punch, Ren spun on his heel, swinging the wolf in a wide arc, before letting go. Gin flew through the air, before breaking through the railing on the roof, and falling to the ground below.

Walking over to the edge, Ren and the girls looked down to see Gin, his head having a nasty gash from Ren's gauntlet, laying in a small crater, clearly unconscious.

"He should consider himself lucky I didn't use my fire," Ren muttered, reverting his features back to his human form, and calming down immensely, beating that pervert really let him blow off some steam. He then turned to the girls, "How did you two know I was up here?"

"I followed you and Gin when he led you to try and peek at the girl's changing room." Kurumu told him, "After that, I went to find Moka and explained it to her. She insisted we help you fight him."

"How did you know about the girl's changing room anyway Ren?" Moka asked.

Ren merely tapped his ear, "My hearing is pretty sharp. I was able to hear girls chatting through the window, didn't take much to figure it out."

"You really are amazing Ren!" Kurumu exclaimed, glomping and smothering him, again, "Taking down a werewolf so easily, you really are my Destined One!"

Moka was fuming in anger and glaring daggers at Kurumu as she grabbed her shoulders to try and pry her off of Ren. None of them noticed Moka's rosary glowing crimson.

Inner Moka had watched the whole fight through the rosary. To say she was impressed was almost an understatement. The fact that Ren had managed to defeat Gin without a scratch on him, it would seem there was more than meets the eye with the Aragami.

'I wonder just how much of the stories are true, Ren Amamiya,' she mused, 'I would certainly like to fight you one day and find out.'

Near the academy entrance

The next day, Moka and Kurumu were passing out the group's first school newspaper, while Ren was putting up posters on a bulletin board. The headline of the paper was all about the capture of the 'Peeping Tom.' The article went on to describe how Gin tried to frame Ren, how he wanted Moka for himself, and how he was taken down instantly. The girls wanted to give details on how Ren managed to beat him, but he asked them not to, to which they eventually conceded. He didn't want to put attention on himself, and make him a target for student's that might want to take a swing at him. Moka and Kurumu were glad that Ren was unhurt after the fight with Gin, and all were satisfied at the completion of their first paper of the year.

"Extra! Extra!" Moka and Kurumu shouted, handing out papers to passing students, "Extra, from the Newspaper Club!"

Meanwhile, Gin, who was badly injured, was still dead-set on his goal of making Moka his girlfriend. At the moment, he was running from a mob of very angry girls who now knew of his actions and what he tried to do. All the girls had various blunt objects with which they were going to use to deal their own brand of justice on the pervert.

"I don't care what happens!" he yelled determinedly, "I will make Moka Akashiya mine!" However, that would have to wait, as it looked like he would be busy for quite some time, trying to avoid another beating that is.

After all the papers were handed out, the three friends were happy that their first paper was a big success, and they headed to class together. Ren smiled to himself as they walked, happy that he was able to help catch one of the academy's big problems, as well as how he was able to keep his temper in check this time. He was also happy that he got to work together with his friends.

'I hope all my days can go as well as this,' he thought to himself, before he ended up being in the middle of a tug-of-war between his two friends, 'Hopefully without too much fighting...'

And that's it for chapter 5! Not much else to say that hasn't already been said. Please read and review, NO flames please!
