Hi zerowolf again with another chapter of my story. I think this chapter may clear up some things on my story. Hope you like it on with the story!

Chapter 9

In the Hall of Heroes, standing next to the Moon pool was Master Shifu with his hands behind his back. His eyes focus on the refection of the gold dragon hanging above the pool. Thinking about their training session today and on how Po and the five had performed, he smiled to himself knowing how well his students can handle themselves. He then closed his eyes and turn around remembering that Po was there waiting. He opened his eyes and said, "What was it you wanted to speak to me about Dragon warrior?"

Po was still rubbing his head, wondering if he really heard Zero thoughts before, or if Zero could hear his own. In his head he called out, "Zero! Zero can you hear me!" but no one answered. With that, he looked at master Shifu and answered, "Oh, yes… It's about Zero. He told me that he overheard his father saying that an old turtle told his father that when he was ready, Zero would be sent to the Valley of piece to be trained by me. I don't know for certain Master Shifu, but do you think maybe it could have been Master Oogway?"

Shifu then nodded slowly before saying, "You are correct Dragon warrior, it was Master Oogway." "Wait…What!? You knew?" Po asked rather surprised and confused. Shifu then motioned for Po to fallow him and continued. "Yes, Oogway did tell me long before you were named Dragon warrior that someone would come seeking training from the Dragon Warrior, but he didn't say who. He also told me about the person's condition and the father's staff, but left out most of the details. But from what he did mention, he isn't able to use the staff because of his chi within him is not the same of that of his actual blood line."

Po was still confused and so he asked, "So you knew all this time. But why didn't you tell me?" Shifu then stop and open the door to the scroll room saying, "Oogway told me that you the Dragon Warrior would come to me first and that is why we are here. He also said that I will have to give you a scroll."

They both entered the room. Master Shifu walked to the center of the room as he turned to Po waiting for him to speak. Po took a look around, admiring the many scrolls. He then sighed saying, "So then you also knew that when our hands touched, we both felt a jolt of energy run through our bodies, and that a green yin-yang symbol would appear? Or that today I could of swore I heard Zero inside my head cheering me on during our training? Man, those are things you should really tell a guy!"

Shifu had a shocked expression with raised eyebrow as he was thinking to himself, "it can't be?" he then ran over to a cabinet going over each of the scrolls. "Master Oogway didn't tell me which scroll to give you but he said it will come to me when the time is right." He soon found what he was looking for, pulling out a scroll in a blue crystal casing with two yin-yang symbols covering both sides. "Po, if what you said is true, then perhaps this is the scroll that Master Oogway wanted me to pass on to you. The scroll of Keung and Yu." master Shifu revealed while handing over the scroll to Po.

Po accepted the scroll smiling a little and said, "Wow! Who are they?" Shifu ears fell flat as he sighed and continued, "Keung and Yu, the fox twins, were great masters both having their own unique fighting styles. Keung was strong and mastered many defensive styles. He was also said to have the chi of ten people locked away inside of him. His brother Yu, was fast and mostly offensive but had less than half the chi his older brother had. Together they made a very strong team."

"So cool! But what do they have to do with zero and me?" Po asked excitedly, now fully focused on the scroll in his hand, but then brought his attention back to master Shifu. "I was getting to that Po. They had a special ability, one unique to only them. Whenever they put their hands together they would glow in aura with a blue yin-yang symbol around them. Yu would act as a key to unlock and divided the hidden chi within his brother giving them the power to hold off a small army." Master Shifu explained while putting back some of the scrolls in their rightful places.

Po was full excitement as he took quick glances at the scroll looking for a way to open it but then something hit him. Po then took a foot forward and asked, "But Master Shifu, there is something wrong." "What is it Po?" Shifu asked while turning to look at the panda. "Well Zero and I are not brothers for one and don't I have the heroes' chi within me?" Po asked while trying to figure out what Shifu just told him.

Shifu then placed his hand on his beard and rubbed it slowly before saying, "It's true you two are not brothers and you do have the heroes' chi within you, but you can't freely use the heroes chi as you want. You could say it's locked away within you, almost the same as Keung . Also, we don't yet know much about Zero or why his chi would be so different from his blood line."

Shifu stopped and then took a couple of steps back and forth before continuing, "However from what you've told me you two are very similar to the ones mentioned within the scroll." Po took one more look at the scroll as he cleaned some of the dust off it with his hand, just enough to seen his reflection in the blue like crystal casing. Looking down at himself he smiled and thought, "Then we just need to believe."

He then bowed saying, "Thank you master Shifu I think I got it." Shifu then return the bow, knowing full well Po would try his best to master the scroll with his new student, but then remembered something important he needed to tell Po. "Po I should tell you that Yu came to the palace long age. Master Oogway and I greeted him on his arrival but something was different. His clothes were covered in blood and his right hand was shaking uncontrollably, while his face only showed incredible sadness and regret. He didn't speak at all, just handed over the scroll to Master Oogway and left never seen again up to this very day. Po I believe there are two sides to that power, and you must be very cautious."

Po nodded and said, "Don't worry Master Shifu I be careful. Oh, and Master, can I get permission take a week off to train Zero in the forest?" Master Shifu walked over to Po and said, "You may, but only a week and if you are needed I will send Master Crane to come and get you." With that said master Shifu and Po both left the room.

Meanwhile…

In a forest far away stood a tree with a knife sticking out of one of the branches. The knife had a red cloth hanging from a loop on the handle. It was a little damp because of dew form the pass day. Standing right under the branch was a cloaked figure putting his hand up making his team stop. He reached up and pulled the knife out for the tree and hand it over to next figure standing beside him and said, "Tell them we rest here for two hours and no longer."

Déshí pulled down his hood, nodded and walk over to the team. He was a grey wolf just like his sister, with a pair of dark blue eyes. He always had his cloak on, never taking it off unless he had to. "We rest here but only for two hours." Déshí said to his men as they found places to sit. Déshí pulled out a very old short sword from its case under his cloak as he looked at the blade. It had rust spots all over with a broken tip and it was slightly bent but looked like someone tried to straighten it. The handle was wood carved to look like a closed wolf paw with the names Zero and Déshí painted in black.

Déshí took a long look at Zero's name before putting it back in its case when he heard, "I hope you're not going soft on me Déshí?" Asked the cloak figure with his back leaning against a tree. "What are you talking about Master?" Déshí replied pulling his hood up over his head. The figure didn't answer he just fold his arms, turned his head and put all his focus on the soldiers.

"Don't you know, the Valley of Peace is where the Dragon warrior stays!?" Said one of the six soldiers. All of the other soldiers just exchange looks at each other before one of them asked, "The Dragon who?" "Come on, the Dragon Warrior! The guy who took out Lord Shen and his army!" He replied. With the mention of the name Shen the cloaked figure stood up growled and made a fist as he slowly walked up to them. Déshí saw what just happen and said, "Master what happen?" No answered again he continued to walk to the soldiers. Four of the soldiers nodded yes as one of them was still confused he asks, "Lord Shen?" "Yes Lord Shen the one who killed most… Of the…pandas." The soldier said sheepishly to the end when he noticed the towering figure over him.

The figure grabs him by his leather armor pushed him up against a tree and lift him up to his face and said, "You know I'm not a fan of wolves so you better talk." The soldier with his two hands he held onto the cloaked figure's arm and shake his head and said, "Yes Master." "Good this Dragon warrior you were talking about, he killed Shen?" Asked the figure as he pushed him harder against the tree.

All the soldiers just stood and watch knowing if they tried anything they could be killed by their cloaked Master. The soldier, who was now unable to talk, moved his head up and down slowly to say yes. The figure just let him go as he just stood there thinking, "If Shen is dead then I have nothing left. Wait… if the Dragon warrior killed him, then I just have to kill the Dragon warrior." He smiled, walked back to the tree he was leaning on and said, "Déshí is there a faster way to the Valley?" Déshí looked at the soldier on the ground who was coughing while trying to catch his breath as he closed his eyes and said, "There is, if we head to the village down this path. There is river near that village which leads just outside a forest close to the valley. It should cut our journey by half."

"Then what are we doing here, let's move now!" The figure shouted and began moving. Déshí just motion for the soldiers to move as he followed him. The soldiers just looked at each other while one said, "What's got into him?" But they all just sighed and followed close behind.

Back with Zero…

Zero was still mediating in the training yard when he started to feel a little hungry. He got up and yawned, scratched his side and said to himself, "Maybe I should of went to the kitchen with Master Tigress and the others." Zero was getting ready to head over to the kitchen when his ear twitched and he turned around to see Po running over to him.

"Zero I have good news but first we gotta go and get packed." Po said fully excited. With a raised eyebrow Zero asked, "Master Po, where are we going?" "We're heading to the forest for some special training. I asked Master Shifu and he said we have a week so I can focus on training you." Po revealed while walking with Zero as they were now heading to the barracks.

"Really now?" Asked Zero with a happy and surprised look on his face. "Isn't that Awesome!? You go ahead and get packed I just have to get something from my room." Po said opening his door to his room. Zero nodded and headed for his room. Twenty minutes later Po and Zero both came out of their rooms fully packed well only Zero. Po just had two scrolls in his hand.

Po looked at Zero and smiled as he asked, "Where's your cloak?" Zero smiled full of confidence said. "I don't need it Master Po." "Ok let's go. I just have to stop at my father place to pick up my pack." Po said, as they walked out the barracks and headed for the stairs.

When they reached the steps, Zero looked back and said, "What about the others?" Po stopped and turned to look at Zero and said, "Master Shifu will let them know tha-." Po was interrupted by Tigress who had a pack of her own coming from the barracks. "Know what Po?" "Tigress what are you doing here?" asked a very shocked Po as he tried to hide the two scrolls behind his back.

Tigress walked passed him and said, "Master Shifu asked me accompany you. If we leave now we should be in the forest by night fall." Po and zero just looked at each other and then shrugged as they began to follow her down the steps into the village.
