Guess I went ahead and jumped the gun again

Some shitty situation that I put you in...

"How long is the silent treatment going to last?" Alucard asked as they trudged along the dreary tunnel.

Integra ignored him.

"You know I'll continue talking until you answer me?" he added, leering over her shoulder.

She stopped, flexing her bandaged wrist.

She placed more restrictions on his powers and as was the consequence had suffered injuries. Injuries he'd gladly lap up with his tongue, but his innocent offer hand been met with the barrel end of her gun.

She was apparently still sore about his little kidnapping turned attempted murder. Honestly Integra needed to work on her sense of humour.

"You kidnapped, George," she reminded him in a tight voice.

He'd done far worse in his lifetime.

"There was a nationwide search for him!"

Honestly was there nothing news worthy? Where were those dapper gals who willingly flashed cameras?

"And he'll have to undergo psychiatric treatment," Integra finished with a hiss. "All because you were jealous."

Jealous? Him? Ridiculous!

Alucard inclined his head to the side, eyebrows arched. "This is my fault?" he asked bemused.

"Unless you can point me to another sociopathic murderous vampire," his master retorted darkly.

"This is so typical," he remarked with a snort.

"I beg your pardon?"

"I said this is so typical," he repeated. "You start a game you have no chance of winning and I humour you, but the moment someone gets kidnapped it's all my fault!"

"Do you even listen to yourself?!"

"I don't have too, that's what the police girl is for," he quipped with a sardonic grin.

She wanted to decapitate him, even clenched her fingers around her sword, but her damning Hellsing control wouldn't let her. Instead she stopped before a door, keying in the access code.

"This seems hardly necessary," he commented over her shoulder. "There are far less dramatic ways to get me naked and bound."

The door slid open.

He followed after his master. He hadn't thought she'd really go through with her threat. Usually she'd just rant and rave and after a bit of time apart things would resume as normal.

Had he really gone a tad too far this time?

Did that snivelling puny human mean that much to her?

He pursed his lips, stepping on a pile of broken bones and watching them turn to dust.

/

Integra set her sword aside before removing her gloves. She hadn't thought she'd have to resort to such drastic measures, but Alucard was simply put – out of control.

She needed to re-establish their master and slave relationship and to do that she'd turned to the torture chamber.

The place reminded her of something out of a horror movie, with its assortment of weapons and tools lining just about every space on the wall.

"Oh I remember this," Alucard remarked gleefully.

She glanced over at him.

He dangled a pole with spikes. "It's pure silver..." he explained. "Your grandfather and I had some really good times with this."

She inwardly flinched.

"Or maybe you want to make use of the leather straps dipped in holy water?" he asked with a raised eyebrow. "That was more your father's thing...and you are your father's daughter-"

"Shut up!" she snapped, turning away from him. "Don't think you can talk me out of this."

She wasn't going to let him talk his way out of this. She was resolute. She was a Hellsing. He'd lied to her. And... and... well there was a whole list of other nefarious deeds he'd committed.

Yes, this is the right thing to do.

"I wouldn't dream of it," Alucard said sidling up to her. His eyes shifted to the gleaming computer console before them. "Well this is new..."

Integra also studied the machine. "It wasn't here before my father sealed you off?" she asked, curiously.

She'd never ventured to this portion of the sub levels before.

Alucard shook his head. "No, but it looks interesting," he replied, fingers trailing over the console. "However this is ancient artefact," he added pointing to a small round object perched over them.

It had an odd design with some form of ancient writings.

"What do you imagine that thing is?" Integra asked squinting up at the device. More importantly why hadn't she read anything about it in her family's journals?

The vampire said nothing as he ran his fingers over the keypad.

"I had no idea you were versed in computer technology," she commented dryly.

Alucard grinned, "I'm not," he replied simply.

Integra's eyes narrowed, "So you're just swinging it?" she demanded.

She needed to stop stalling.

"Calm down Master, any idiot can work their way around a computer," Alucard stated with an air of disdain.

Integra opened her mouth to retort but suddenly they were encased in a beam of light. She stared wide eyed at Alucard before she felt her body lurch forward into a spiralling darkness.

/

There was a beam of light shining on her face, Integra groaned as she lifted an arm to shield her eyes. Which idiot had left her curtains open? She wondered annoyed.

"Ah Master you're awake," a voice spoke.

Integra frowned. And who had thought waking up to the sound of Alucard's voice was a grand idea? Using her elbows to prop herself up, Integra blinked the sleep from her eyes but everything was blurry still. Reaching out for her glasses she was surprised when her hands came into contact with something smooth, cold and hard.

She paused, brows furrowed in confusion.

She swallowed thickly, her fingers slowly encircling its girth. The horror must have flashed on her face, because there was an amused chuckle.

"Calm down Master, you can let go of my wrist now," Alucard said, sitting up. She peered at his slightly blurry face that was regarding her with amusement.

Integra felt a blush creep up her face when Alucard gave her a knowing smile, "And just for the record, it's much bigger," he taunted in a whisper.

"Shut up you bloody git!" she cursed pushing him away from her as he threw his head back laughing. She stood up ignoring her servant and took in the scenery around her. "Alucard, where are we?" she asked, taking in the dry sand and barren landscape.

The Nosferatu rose, far more gracefully than she had, the dust falling off his clothes. He looked thoughtful as he looked around them. "Well it would seem were are in some sort of arid land," he said solemnly.

"In other words you have no idea?" she deadpanned as she began searching her coat pockets. Her cell phone was gone along with her gun. In essence she was defenceless. She could only imagine the state she was in, but now was not the time. "You wouldn't have seen my glasses by any chance?" she asked.

"Round, rimless little things?" Alucard asked casually.

Integra narrowed her eyes, "Yes," she confirmed, already suspicious.

"I'm afraid they might have broken my landing," The vampire replied unable to conceal completely the quirking of his lips.

She glared at him. "You smashed them," she accused.

"No, I fell on them," he corrected.

Alucard rummaged in his pockets before pulling out his orange tinted shades, offering them to her.

"God no," Integra deadpanned. He shrugged as if to say suit yourself, he then proceeded to put them on, "What happened?!" she demanded.

"It would seem that device allows one to travel through dimensions," The vampire mused. "Wherever we are, this is not our world."

Integra glared at him. "If only some genius hadn't fiddled with the controls," she snapped.

Alucard ignored her. "There is a town a mile from here," he stated as he began to walk in the aforementioned direction.

"I thought you didn't know where we are," Integra said dryly. She pocketed the mangled corpse of her glasses before falling into step with him.

"I don't, but I can sense the life forces," He answered with a smirk. "It's a vampire thing."

"I'm sure it is," Integra grumbled squinting against the light which was only worsening her vision.

She felt a weight on her head as Alucard placed his hat on her. They fall God knows through were and yet Alucard still has his hat on? Once again the vampire had somehow defied all laws of nature. She thought dryly.

"Don't you need it more, what with the sun?" she asked even as she placed it properly on her head. The last thing she needed was Alucard getting cranky because he was exposed to the sunbeams.

"I smashed your glasses only seems fair," he replied with a dismissive wave.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome Master."

She suddenly stopped, her mind thinking back. "Alucard, this better not be a ploy to escape your punishment!" she accused.

His eyes widened in surprise. "Master, I was looking towards our foreplay into BDSM as much as you were, why would I sabotage that?"

BDSM? Integra felt a twitch beneath her eye. "This isn't over," she muttered darkly.

He grinned. "I look forward to it," he said with a humble bow.

They walked the rest of the way in relative silence until they spotted the small buildings either side of the one road the town seemed to have.

"You computer illiterate moron, you sent us back into time!" Integra snapped surveying the small western set town.

"I prefer the term amateur computer whizz," Alucard stated haughtily, "And no, I don't know which history books you've been reading but the past did not have cybernetic horses," he added pointing at a hitching post feet away from them.

Sure enough a robotic looking horse stood. It was all odd really and Integra frowned.

"What is this place?" she asked more out of confusion than curiosity.

"Hideyuki Yoshitaka," Alucard replied, reading from the name plate positioned on a wooden pole.

"So we're in Japan," Integra deadpanned.

"I never said that," Alucard stated as he walked towards a saloon. "But there's only one way to find out..."

AN: The name of the town is a hint. Anyone have an idea where our duo have unwittingly landed themselves?
