Kyle had drifted in and out of consciousness for days after first waking up, his condition stayed the same. Julia had come back to Tom after she had left Scott after the accident. Tom however was in bad shape, he could barley focus on the show or anything really.

Julia entered the hospital room, she smiled when she saw Tom fast asleep on an armchair in the corner. She felt awful for Kyle his first show was going to Broadway and he was missing it. She looked down at the boy he was still wrapped with bandages on most of his body. The visible skin was badly bruised or scraped up.

Jimmy was refusing to change the book, not wanting to change any of Kyle's work. Everything was so screwed up now.

"Tom, Tom wake up." She gently shook the man awake. "What?" He asked softly. "You need to go home and get some rest. Your going to get sick if you keep doing this."

"I was home last night Julia, I have a show tonight I'm going to stay here till I have to leave." She sighed frustrated at him.

"Its been a month, the doctors are doing another surgery tomorrow." Tom told her. Most of Kyle's bones had been broken or shattered and there was a lot of damage to the muscles in his legs which needed a lot of work. The recovery process would take a long time according to them, but he was young which made them more hopeful since his body was stronger.

Julia sighed looking out the window of the room at the gray sky. The table in the corner was filled with get well cards and other gifts for Kyle. He was so loved it made her so sad to see him like this.

"His mom is stopping by later before she goes to his show." Tom told her. Julia nodded her phone rang and she stepped outside to answer it. It was Jimmy he wanted some help working on some of Kyle's ideas for the show.

The next few weeks went by slowly, previews were going well and they were opening within the next few weeks. Tom missed the boy so much, he really enjoyed the little time they had spent together before the accident.

All he saw was a white haze, there were shadows above him moving around. He tried to move but nothing seemed to want to listen to him. As he became more aware he heard soft beeping, he tried to turn his head but his neck felt so stiff.

Kyles mouth felt dry, he tried to speak but he started coughing. It hurt a lot, his chest exploded in pain. He was in agony but he couldn't move, it was a nightmare. His vision was still hazy, he felt someones hands on him.

He wanted them off, he struggled but that only made it worse. "Kyle...alright...safe." He heard bits of someone speaking. He whimpered, he wanted to know what was happening.

The voice spoke again, he couldn't understand most of it but it was soothing. He felt so tired his eyes closed and he was drifting back into the darkness.

The next time he woke up it was darker in the room which made it easier to open his eyes. He managed to move his fingers against the soft blanket. He felt so weak what was wrong with him. Was he sick?

"Kyle, you awake?" The boys eyes shifted up to the voice. The man sitting above him looked very concerned. "Hey, come on. I know your in there somewhere." The man joked.

Then it hit him, it was Tom. He looked so weary and tired. He tried to speak but his mouth was dry. Tom seemed to know what he needed because the next thing he felt was cool water being pressed up to his lips. He felt slightly better now.

"T..Tom?" His voice sounded raspy. "Yes, I'm so glad your finally awake. Well you have woken up but not like this." He rambled off.

"W..what hap..end?" Tom looked back down at him his eyes were sad. "You were hit by a car, the driver called 911. They saved your life."

Kyle suddenly felt cold, he had been hit by a car. He had no memory of that. What if he had died? the thought terrified him.

"Kyle, shh its okay. You're safe now." Kyle hadn't realized he had been shaking, there were tears in his eyes. "Why cant I m..move?" He asked softly.

"You had several surgery's to repair the damage, the doctor said you will need physical therapy to help you regain your strength. You shouldn't be moving anyway, you need to heal." Tom told him.

Kyle felt so tired, his eyes closed again bringing him back to sleep.

The next time he awoke Kyle heard voices above him. He cracked his eyes open, the person above him wasn't familiar. He felt hands touching him, he whined softly trying to move away from the person.

"Kyle, you awake?" They asked. A light was shined in his eyes making him cry in pain, he was used to the dark. "Its alright, I'm just checking a few things. I'm Dr. Parsons I've been your doctor since you've been here."

Kyle vaguely remembered that he was injured, his mind was all jumbled up. "Hes awake?" Kyle heard another voice enter the room. "Yes." "He was up yesterday too, that's a good sign right?" The excited voice asked the doctor.

Another hand touched his face this time, Kyle could now see Tom standing over him. "Kyle, you feeling better today?"

"I..." His throat felt so dry. He coughed, pain stabbed through his chest. Everything ached badly he could hear Tom speaking to him again. He felt the cool hand on his face, he was probably just outside.

"He's burning up." Tom spoke worried. The doctor glanced at the monitor seeing the temperature had spiked to 102 degrees. Kyle whined softly, clearly uncomfortable at the fever.

It had turned out Kyle had an infection from the recent surgery but the fever was brought down within a few hours thanks to antibiotics.

Tom was at the show making sure Bombshell was running smoothly. Once it was over he pulled on his coat and left he smiled as people greeted him. "Tom!" It was Ivy.

"Hey, you did great tonight as always." Tom told her. "Thank you, I haven't spoke to you in forever how are you doing?" Everyone knew now that Tom and Kyle had been involved since the night of the accident. Once it got out there had been speculation about Tom using Kyle and not caring about him.

"Hes woken up a few times." Tom said as he walked. "Oh, that's great." She smiled.

"I guess I'll see you tomorrow?" She asked. "Yeah."

"Well I hope he gets better soon. Bye Tom." She said as she saw someone else to talk to.

Tom sighed, he and Ivy had not been very close since he became director. They were still friendly but not really friends anymore. It was fine with him, he had been neglecting most people since he was at the hospital most of the time. He saw Julia a lot still.

Kyle was awake when he got to the room, he was laying down and a doctor was with him.

"Tom?" He asked. The doctor turned around. "He's been asking for you, now that the fevers down hes feeling better."

"That's good to hear." Tom smiled he gently touched Kyle's shoulder. "When can I leave?" The younger asked looking at Tom.

"You still need rest." Tom told him as he sat down. "I just feel so useless here. I need to be helping with the show."

"No you don't, your show will still be there when your healed. I don't want you pushing yourself before your ready." Tom replied.

Kyle sighed, the bed was reclined so he was sitting up today. "I missed you." He whispered. Tom smiled and gently kissed his forehead.

"I wanted to know if you would like to stay with me once you got out, my place is closer and easier to get around. If you don't want to its fine." He rambled off.

Kyle leaned up and kissed him on the lips, "Why would I say no?" He winced at the pain in his back, he lowered himself back down on the bed.

"Kyle you alright?" Tom looked worried. "I'm fine just sore." Kyle's eyes drooped shut before he fell right back to sleep. Tom smiled, so happy Kyle was finally getting better.

Kyle was on stage the lights were shining on him and Jimmy was singing "Broadway Here I Come" as he sat by the piano on the stage. They were the only people on the stage. the he could feel the audiences eyes on him even though he couldn't see them.

He was standing and not in pain, Jimmy finished the song and Kyle heard the eruption of applause from the Broadway theater. He tried to call Jimmy's name but his voice wasn't working.

He then saw Karen and Ana and Blake all around Jimmy and talking and laughing, he tried to step forward but his legs were frozen in place. "Guys, hey!" He called but his voice didn't work. What was going on. Why couldn't they see him or hear him, sadness welled up in his chest.

Everything was fading again when Kyle opened his eyes he was in Tom's apartment it was empty but then he heard the piano. He saw Tom sitting at the piano slowly playing "Vienna" his hair fell over his eyes. His clothes were rumpled and he had been crying.

"Tom." Nothing came out again. Kyle could feel tears running down his face, was this kind of sick nightmare.

Then he was standing on the street, he saw the headlights coming at him. But all he could was stand there. And then there was white...

I know I haven't updated anything since early last year I've been having problems with school and figuring out what I want to do with my life and every time I tried to write to calm my self down I would just get stuck. I've been working on this chapter since I posted the last one, so I did not forget about this story or any of my stories. Please review I've been really anxious and stressed lately and reviews make my day. Thanks for reading!
