Hello! Do you guys hate me? I do. It has been since early December, and I totally left you on a cliffhanger! How cruel! Anyway, here is the final chapter officially. I hope you will enjoy it, review and rate it, and leave this story with a sweet aftertaste. I am so sorry if any of the characters were OOC, but I felt a need to explain the presence of all the other nations. xD Please Enjoy!

The Maple Leaf Crown: Finale

Switzerland took a step forward, brushing aside Poland's warning arm, and opened his mouth to speak. He held open his arms, as if to accent his forthcoming words, and gasped when Liechtenstein ran into them full tilt. She squeezed him very tight, grabbed her other big brother into the hug, and sobbed freely.

"Big brothers, Canada has proposed to me! Is it not very wonderful?" She rocked the three of them back and forth with girlish glee. Canada looked over the scene with an amused eye. The female nation was so excited that it was rubbing off on an already happy Poland, who was now skipping around the store with Liechtenstein. Switzerland took the time to smile gently, before focusing his gaze on the Canadian nation again. Eyes narrowing, he stepped forward only to be shoved to the side.

"Oh, I am so sorry! I should watch where I am going." Liechtenstein stopped her skipping and hugged her brother again. Once again foiled, he closed his mouth and hugged her back. Canada smiled at the two before turning around to find a very serious looking Poland.

"Like, take care of her. Can you do that?" Canada nodded, smiling. The Polish nation mirrored his expression before unceremoniously shoving him out of the store. The Canadian nation allowed himself to be thrust out, peeking behind him to see his fiancée. The clever female was shooting a shooing gesture with her unclaimed hand, motioning for the two to escape. Canada grinned, understanding why he had been shoved away, and went on his merry way to the Christmas store where all the nations were waiting for news.

Meanwhile, Liechtenstein had released Switzerland from her grip. He smiled sweetly down at her, touching her face softly. She nuzzled in, accepting the love, until he pulled away. The Swiss nation had barely taken two steps when her voice stopped him yet again.

"Are you going after Canada again, big brother?" Her sweet voice and innocent expression made guilt worm its way throughout his heart. Switzerland pushed down the guilt, trying to convince himself that no one deserved her….but she looked so happy, and the proposal was satisfactory. Torn, but determined, he nodded shortly. He heard the gasp of disappointment as he hurriedly left the store, running towards the store where he last seen the Canadian male disappear. The ding of the door closing behind him echoed as his sister chased him. Soon, she had him against a garden wall in across the street. Surprised at her strength and speed, Switzerland was helpless to do anything but lean.

"Big brother, I appreciate that you are protective. It has kept me safe for many centuries, and will for many more. However, it is my decision to marry Canada, not yours." Liechtenstein stood up to her full height, still barely touching the tip of his chin with the top of her head. Her eyes narrowed, and her right hand began playing with the ring on her left. The red crown glittered, but his focus was kept on the distraught girl in front of him. Switzerland reached out a hand to comfort his sister, but quickly retracted it. She still had more words to say, he could see it in her eyes.

"If you are still prepared to hunt him down after this conversation, then I will have you know that I have taken certain precautions and would like to extend a warning." She nervously played with her ring again. Liechtenstein took a deep breath, and looked up into Switzerland's eyes.

"I had big brother Poland remove the guns from your hat, boots, and hidden coat pocket." The female nation giggled when his eyes widened. Switzerland frantically searched the locations, frowning when he found it to be true. He made a promise to punch the Polish man next time he saw him. "I also had Finland disable your cell phone, so calling for more weapons is impossible." Liechtenstein laughed outright at her brother's stormy expression; she could already see him piecing together why the Finnish nation had borrowed his cell early during the plane trip. She could also see him sorting through the other nations, and slowly realizing why there had been so many of them.

"You have probably figured this all out, but America told me that his brother was planning something big for me so he suggested that I plan ahead. Poland took your weapons, Finland disabled your cell, Germany has your passport in his possession, Italy and Japan provided the distractions, France came as mental support for Canada, England is prepared to use magic if Hungary's brawn fails to keep you away, and Austria was there to keep you annoyed so nothing would be noticed. Aren't you glad you taught me battle tactics, big brother? This wouldn't have been possible without your lessons!" Liechtenstein giggled again, and patted the shocked Switzerland on the arm. He barely registered the touch as he attempted to sort through all the devious? planning his innocent? sister had prepared. The Swiss stumbled after Liechtenstein as she skipped with glee over to the parked cars.

The waiting nations eyed the stumbling Swiss man with wary eyes, but quickly forgot about him as the female nation skipped into their midst. Words of congratulation, love, and excitement flooded the area. A shy Canada kissed his soon-to-be bride on the lips, and France took a picture of the blushing couple with a contented sigh. America was already texting the other nations with fast thumbs, having already embarrassed the couple enough for a day. Three of the nations were in phone conversations, happily spreading the word across the globe. Poland dropped his own sparkly phone into his pocket, and glomped his sister. Canada separated himself when he heard the two discussing wedding gowns, and walked over to the silent Swiss nation. He seemed to be reading a note over and over again, and his free hand clutched his white beret in a death grip. Switzerland looked up at his approach and almost nodded all friendly like.

"Thank you for the proposal, it was very well done. I know my sister will be happy with you as you have proved yourself over and over again. I was concerned that you were rushing into this relationship, and scars left from broken relationships are hard to heal when one is practically immortal. Trust me, I would know." With a grim chuckle, Switzerland slouched against a car and tiredly put his hat back on his head. Canada looked at the quiet man for a moment, and walked over to stand next to him. To his surprise, the Swiss man moved over to allow him to sit close.

"Thank you for your words, but is there a reason you are acting all….friendly to me? I thought you would have taken more time to warm up to me." The Canadian nation flicked his eyes over curiously when he heard another chuckle.

"It will take time for me to warm up to you. I never disliked you as a country, nor as my sister's temporary guardian. Anything more made you an enemy. You not only declared war, but went for the capital immediately-marking it with a flag. Trust me once more, it will take time for me to be anything more than grudgingly tolerant. As for the friendliness, did you see the note I was reading?" Canada spoke a yes, and marveled on the inside that the man was even talking so honestly to him. Switzerland turned his face away with a small smile, and the Canadian nation stared in open wonder at the rare expression.

"It is proof that I have been a wonderful brother, teaching her to defend herself and her loved ones. The note warned that if I caused too much trouble, she would have Austria walk her down the aisle instead. I dare not be anything but friendly to you, because the thought of her walking down that aisle without me is…" The Swiss cut of his own sentence, and peeled off his hat once again. The white beret soon covered his face, and the nation slumped even more than before. Canada awkwardly patted him on the shoulder, and left the car to give him some space. He quickly walked to the happy crowd of countries.

The group was eventually moved to Canada's home, where many other nations were waiting with silly grins. Congratulations and well wishes filled the home. Canada excused himself from an overly excited Prussia when he saw his fiancée slip away to the kitchen. He followed in the there, shooed out a cooking China, and stood next to Liechtenstein. She fiddled with her ring again, lost in thought.

"I love you Liechtenstein." Canada wrapped an arm around her shoulders softly, grinning like the love-sick man he was when she wrapped one of her arms around his waist. She cuddled in, and stood on her tiptoes to kiss him on the cheek.

"And I love you."

The End of the Maple Leaf Crown.

Writing this was really fun, believe it or not. I had a fantastic time making Liechtenstein a cunning plan of action, you know, just in case. I also enjoyed giving Canada screen time, and voice to use with it. ;) Thank you for your continued support, and many reviews and favorites. I would love to thank every person involved, but it would take up too much space. xD Please leave one last review; about this chapter, the ending, how horrible an updater I am, or the whole thing in general. Thank you once again, and maybe see you another time.

With a thankful heart,
