Chapter 15: Sk8er Boi
Celebrating five years of success of "The Ringed Titan: Wizard"…
In an alleyway, Amber and Dionne were walking through. A cat got in their way, but Dionne used her scythe to slash it away before Amber shifted into her Euryale Phantom Form.
"We lost Terra first," Dionne said. "Then Phoenix just decides to take charge after failing to destroy the Ringed Magician. Now we're working for this so-called zenith power Phantom Ruler?" she asked. She let out a scoff. "I'd rather work under a new Wiseman who isn't the White Magician again."
"All in due time, Dionne," Amber said, placing her sword gently across Dionne's chest. "Our guest here shall soon help us advance further on in our mission to bring back Zenith."
At that moment, a woman with almost orange skin and blonde hair walked out of the shadows. She had one eye missing, as well as a shirt with one side black and the other side white, grey trousers and black shoes.
"I heard someone new is putting the Phantoms back together again," the woman said. "Lucky for you, my service to the Phantom Cause comes free. No charge."
"Manananggal," Dionne said. "I see you've gotten your blood back. You look healthier than we last saw you."
"You know what I do," the woman said as an image of two Phantoms, both the same size and forming the legs and upper torso of her true form, superimposed onto her. "I've already picked a target to drive into despair, if you're wondering."
"Good," Amber said. "Now, remember," she started out as she walked over to press the flat side of her sword on the woman's chest. "Succeed or fail, you must get enough power from the Ring-Bearing Riders to increase our true Master's strength," she said. "Do not attempt to run from the battle. Am I clear, Silver?"
Silver chuckled as she started to transform into her true Phantom Form.
"I am never one to run away, my Masters."
Dionne felt the need to run away while Amber held her in place. The two watched as a Phantom half their size, equipped with only turrets on top instead of a head, ran past them, while another Phantom, the same size, flew into the air, wielding a claymore in her hands, cackling in the night.
The next morning, Haruto was riding on the course outside of Titans' Tower, with the rest of the Teen Titans watching. Behind him, neck in neck, were Koyomi and Nitou on the Machine Raven and the Machine Beast respectively. The three Ringed Kamen Riders rode through the course, evading all of the obstacles that Cyborg was throwing at them.
"They really are getting better, aren't they?" Shunpei asked as he leaned on Starfire's shoulder.
"Yes, they are," Starfire replied. "I am not friend Koyomi, friend Shunpei, but if you do not remove your weight from my shoulder, I will use force."
"Oh! Sorry!" Shunpei apologized. "Still getting used to being back here in Jump City again."
"It's alright, Nitou," Robin said. "Starfire didn't mean it."
"If you did it to me, on the other hand, you'd get a rock to the face." Terra joked.
"Oi!" Shunpei exclaimed, almost afraid.
"Like Robin said, Dude… they don't mean it." Beast Boy said before looking back at the race.
Haruto raced around a corner, with Koyomi and Nitou still neck in neck. The two Riders growled before racing after Haruto, gradually catching up with him. Finally, all the Magic Riders reached the finish line, Haruto coming in first, with Koyomi and Nitou tied in second.
"Looks like we have a tie." Cyborg said. He powered down the simulation system and walked over with the rest of the Titans to greet the Riders.
"Very great racing, Friend Haruto!" Starfire complimented.
"Yah!" Shunpei agreed. "Nitou's not too bad on a bike himself," he mused before adding on, "Especially since it's not mine."
"He and Koyomi are very skilled," Haruto said. He held his arms out, allowing a Magic Circle to cancel out his transformation before seeing that Nitou and Koyomi had not moved an inch from where they were after getting off their bikes. "But since Raven turned out to be Koyomi and my second Rider… things have gotten a bit complicated."
"I got in second place, Mayo Man!" Koyomi exclaimed.
"Don't give me that, Koyomi-Chan!" Nitou argued back. "The Machine Beast is obviously much faster than your little tricycle!"
"The Machine Raven may have three wheels, but it is not to be mocked!" Koyomi exclaimed.
"Wow…" Cyborg said as he and Beast Boy glanced at each other. "I guess we know how that feels now, huh?"
"Dude, you said it," Beast Boy mused. "Let's limit our arguments on the kinds of food we want from now on."
"Agreed."
"I've been doing this with Haruto longer than you have!" Koyomi exclaimed. "You've only ridden a bike once!"
"You may have been riding with Haruto longer than I have, but I've been fighting with my rival longer than you!" Nitou argued.
"Friends, please!" Starfire exclaimed, getting in between Koyomi and Nitou, as Haruto did the same. "Let us not argue over who is the best."
"Yeah," Haruto agreed. "You're both my friends."
"She took over my spot!" Nitou argued, changing back into himself.
"How many times have we caught you eating mayonnaise before actually joining in on a fight?" Koyomi argued as she changed back as well.
"That's enough, from both of you!" Robin exclaimed sternly. "You're all Riders, fighting Phantoms and crime. Act your age!"
"Um, Robin?" Terra asked. "I think it's better for us not to order Raven around, even if she is a reincarnation of Koyomi."
"Maybe some tea will help," Wajima said, walking out. "I've finished making the adjustments to the room you Titans set up for me and Wajima to make Magic Rings. We're all set, but I made some tea for everyone if they want it."
"If it will help everyone to calm down, that's okay, Oji-San," Haruto said before smacking Nitou on the head while lightly punching Koyomi. "Let's go."
"He hit you." Koyomi teased, only to get elbowed by Starfire.
"Yeah, you still got punched, so ha!" Nitou remarked, but was met with scratches to the face from Beast Boy, morphed into a cat.
Downtown, Silver was watching over a couple at the skate park, showing off their skills to each other. She noticed a girl watching over them and smirked before walking over. As she did, she licked her lips, getting rid of some wine she had earlier.
"Love stings, does it not, my friend?" Silver asked. The girl turned to her and groaned. "I've been there. No need to feel hurt. Your boyfriend didn't seem to mind abandoning you."
"Girlfriend, actually," the girl said. "Sally and I have been dating for two weeks now. I've rarely seen her since she started to hang out with Alan."
"Sarah! You watching?" Sally called out.
Sarah and Silver turned to Sally as she cartwheeled on the half-pipe before pirouetting off, landing back to meet with Alan.
"Pretty amazing, huh?" Sally asked.
"Yeah… pretty cool," Sarah replied before turning back to Silver. "Sarah Beatrice. That's my name. What's yours?" she asked.
"Silver, Silver St. Cloud," Silver introduced. "Sarah, swing by the Recreation Center later," she said. "I may have something that might get over your… dilemma." She said before walking away.
"First phase… anger," Sarah said, walking away as Alan spun Sally around to skate her towards the ramp. "Acceptance… much later. So long, Sally."
"What do you mean, I'm not getting any mayonnaise today?!" Nitou exclaimed back at Titans' Tower.
Cyborg closed a safe with all bottles of mayonnaise while Terra placed some herbal tea ingredients around a crystal prism she had created.
"And me without my herbal tea?!" Koyomi exclaimed.
"You two are acting like kids," Haruto said. "One of you is supposed to be the mature one, the other is supposed to be sensible. Now I have two friends arguing who gets to be my Plus One Rider."
"Which is me." Nitou noted.
"Oh, would you shut up?!" Koyomi exclaimed.
"And I'll be taking this too," Cyborg said, taking Koyomi's Infinity Ring from her set of Magic Rings before he reached for the Hyper Ring. "And this too."
"WHAT?!" Koyomi and Nitou exclaimed.
"But what if there's a Phantom attack and we need them?!" Nitou exclaimed as Koyomi closed her eyes.
"Then make do with what you've got," Haruto said. "You'll only get these back after you learn to work together."
Koyomi sighed. "Well, if I am to get both parts of my lives back, I'd best do what you say, Haruto," she said. "I take it there's no changing your mind?"
"Nope," Haruto said. "Now, let's go downtown. Maybe some time at the Recreation Center can help you."
"You got that subscription too?" Cyborg asked, revealing a screen of a coupon on his arm. "You know, I can't wait to start trying to get myself to one-hundred and ten percent again."
"Yeah," Haruto said. He walked over to Koyomi and Nitou and patted them on the shoulder. "Remember. Work together, get along, and you can get your stuff back."
"Sure thing… Dad." Nitou said as he got up and walked out.
Terra and Beast Boy nearby laughed.
"You watch your tongue!" Haruto exclaimed, only to realize what he had just said. "I really am becoming a parent."
"Well, you're no older than me," Wajima said as he walked over. He handed some of his signature tea to Koyomi as she walked out, almost laughing as well. "By the way, Shunpei and I looked at the Magic Stone you were given."
"Did you start on it yet?" Haruto asked.
"That's the thing," Wajima said. "It's the same kind of stone Fueki would bring in. This would take days to forge into a new Ring or more."
"Strange." Cyborg mused.
"Can you give me some details on who the girl was who gave you the Magic Stone?" Wajima asked.
"I'll stay and run some scans through the Security Cameras with Robin," Cyborg said. "Stay with us, and we may just find something of use."
"I'll go to catch up with Koyomi and Nitou," Haruto said. "If there's an attack, I'll let you know." He said, holding up his T-Comm before walking out the hallway to meet with his fellow Riders.
Back at the skate park, Sally was finishing up her work with Alan. The two looked to each other as they walked to pick up her stuff.
"You sure you don't want to extend our time together today?" Alan asked.
"I noticed Sarah walk off, and I'm worried for her," Sally said. "You know how she is."
"Yeah, I do," Alan said. "I think I saw her heading off to the Recreation Center down the block."
"Wanna come with?" Sally asked. "I want us both to tell her the good news."
"Sure thing." Alan said with a smile.
"Come on." Sally said, leading Alan to the Recreation Center.
At the Recreation Center, Sarah was putting her anger to use on a punching bag in the gym. She had headphones in her ears, listening to rock music as she continued to punch away and let out her anger.
Silver St. Cloud watched from the distance. Her eyes glowed, and soon, she transformed into her split Phantom Forms. The two looked to each other and cackled before summoning several Ghouls. They soon charged forward, with Sarah still unaware of what was happening.
"Guess I sort of deserve this," Koyomi said as she entered, with Nitou not too far behind. "I mean, I was technically a kid before Sora killed me."
"Takes away my mayonnaise, the jerk," Nitou muttered. Suddenly, his Griffin PlaMonster flew towards him. "What is it?" he asked as it started to chatter. His eyes grew wide as he listened closely. "A Phantom?!" he exclaimed. "Yosha!" he cheered. "Time for a good meal!" he exclaimed.
Koyomi looked around and felt her own senses kick in as her Hippogriff PlaMonster flew towards her. She looked to it as it squawked before Nitou ran past her.
"A new Phantom!" Koyomi exclaimed. "Nitou, wait up!"
Back at the gym, everyone noticed that the new Manananggal Phantoms advance, and ran away. Sarah was still boxing and letting off her anger until one of the Ghouls poked her with his staff. Still angered, she turned around and sent a punch, knocking him into nine more Ghouls.
"Unless you're having a crisis like mine, get in line!" Sarah yelled. She turned back to box some more while the rest of the Ghouls looked to her with confusion.
"Mana Nan," the lower half of the Manananggal Phantom said, realizing what was happening. "She's not afraid!"
"Garulu, calm down," Mana Nan said calmly. "We shall show her despair soon enough!"
All of a sudden, several Silver Bullets flew by and hit the Ghouls before reaching Manananggal. They stopped the bullets and formed together before Haruto ran in, armed with his WizardSwordGun.
"Got you there, New Phantom," Haruto said before noticing Sally. "Hello?" he asked, only to get punched in the groin by her without her even looking. "Never mind!" he exclaimed in a high-pitched voice.
"What the Hell?!" Manananggal exclaimed. "Get lost!"
"I'm gonna have you for a meal, Phantom!" Nitou exclaimed.
"If you don't know, now you know," Koyomi said, walking in and leaning against a chin-up bar. "I'm gonna kill that despair you deliver."
"Three Riders?" Manananggal asked. "For the price of one? How exciting!" she exclaimed before letting out a laugh.
"You won't be laughing long!" Haruto exclaimed as he, Koyomi and Nitou readied their Rings and placed them over their waists.
DRIVER ON, PLEASE!
DRIVER ON!
DRIVER ON! COME ON, LET'S GO!
SHABADOOBIE TOUCH TO HENSHIN! SHABADOOBIE TOUCH TO HENSHIN!
"Henshin!" Haruto called out, adjusting his Flame Ring.
FLAME, PLEASE! HII, HII, HII-HII, HII!
"Henshin!" Koyomi called out as her cape flew into the air. She placed her hand over her RavenDriver and spread her arms out as her cape flew back to her.
AZARATH METRI-KAMEN RIDER!
"Hen… Shin!" Nitou called out. He circled his arm out in front of him before placing his ringed finger into the side of his Beastdriver.
SET! OPEN! L-I-O-N! LI-ON!
Haruto outstretched his arm to the side, allowing his Magic Circle to pass through him. Soon, he was Kamen Rider Wizard.
Koyomi gracefully spread her arms out, her cape flowing as her Magic Circle passed through in front of her. As soon as it phased through her, she was transformed into Kamen Rider Raven.
Nitou held his hands out, allowing his Magic Circle to grow before passing through him. Soon armed with his Dice Saber, he was now the arcane magician, Kamen Rider Beast.
"Saa… Showtime!" Haruto called out.
"Saa, Lunchtime!" Nitou called out.
"Time to take the stage!" Koyomi called out.
Manananggal took out an Ikakalaka and held it out. "Get them!" she ordered. "I've got the Gate!"
"I'll plow right through these guys!" Nitou exclaimed. He placed a Ring onto his finger and slotted it into the side of his Beastdriver.
BUFFA! GO! BU-BU-BU BUFFALO!
"Not if I mow them down first!" Koyomi called out, placing a Ring over her RavenDriver.
BRAVE ON! GUNG-HO!
Koyomi leapt into battle, gaining her green robes. She took out her RavenRifleScepter and slashed through three Ghouls before Nitou took down four. As they did, they looked to one another for a brief moment before slashing through the rest of the Ghouls that were heading their way.
Haruto ran in and slashed away at two Ghouls before forming his Gun and shooting two more behind him. Upon hearing his friends argue, he turned to them while forming his sword and blocking an attack from three Ghouls behind him.
"Oi, knock it off, you two, and fight together!" Haruto called out before slashing away the Ghouls. As he did, he noticed that Sarah was still boxing. "Wow. That must be some really good music."
Manananggal leapt in and slashed at Haruto, who had little time to react. He staggered from the hit before turning back, slashing back at the Manananggal Phantom. The two twirled their blades around, almost very similarly, before locking swords again.
Nitou picked up two Ghouls while Koyomi slashed three in half. As soon as Nitou tossed the two Ghouls away, he slashed at the rest, with Koyomi doing the same before their blades accidentally locked with each other.
"Watch your stick!" Nitou yelled.
"Why don't you point yours in a direction that isn't in my face?" Koyomi argued back.
"I oughta—!" Nitou argued, only for four more Ghouls to split him and Koyomi apart. The two backed out of the way before placing their ringed hands onto the scanners on their weapons.
FIVE! GO! BU-BU-BUFFALO!
BRAVER STRIKE! SLASH ATTACK!
Nitou ran forward and sent forth five buffalos to destroy the Ghouls while Koyomi split her RavenRifleScepter apart. She twirled around both of her weapons and slashed wildly at the Ghouls before the two eventually bumped into each other, causing a Ghoul nearby to lose his weapon, which went flying towards Sarah, knocking her headphones off.
"Can't a girl get through her phase in peace?!" Sarah exclaimed before turning around. Immediately, her eyes went wide at what she was seeing.
"I told you to watch it!" Nitou argued.
"I'm not a little girl anymore!" Koyomi exclaimed, knocking him on the head with her RavenRifleScepter.
"I never said that!" Nitou argued before slashing through a Ghoul to bump Koyomi on the head with the pommel of his Dice Saber.
"If we weren't in the middle of a battle, I'd kill you right now!" Koyomi yelled before shooting down seven more Ghouls.
"Okay… clearly, I missed something," Sarah said. "Beast and Raven are here, and they're fighting two things at once, while Wizard is fighting against a hag of a Phantom," she mused before taking a deep breath. "Suddenly, I feel like my mid-life crisis has been put on hold, so… I'll just leave everyone alone." She said before walking to get her stuff.
"Don't run away from me!" Manananggal exclaimed. She broke off with Haruto and ran at Sarah, who turned around in surprise.
"No!" Haruto exclaimed. He took out a new Ring and placed it over his WizarDriver.
"Gotta help my rival!" Nitou exclaimed, placing a new Ring on to put into his Beastdriver.
"I'm with you, Haruto!" Koyomi called out, placing the same Ring Haruto had over her RavenDriver.
BIND, PLEASE!
CHAMELEO! GO! CA-CA-CHAMALEO!
Chains appeared from Magic Circles in front of Haruto and Koyomi while Nitou gained his Camo Mantle. He used the tongue to hold Manananggal's legs in place before Haruto and Koyomi did the same.
Manananggal laughed. "Amateur move!" she remarked. With that, her entire upper body separated from her while her lower body formed turrets and spun around.
"What?!" Haruto exclaimed.
"Two Phantoms in one?!" Nitou exclaimed. "This is gonna be a big meal for me!"
"This is how you react to this Phantom?!" Koyomi exclaimed in disbelief. "Sometimes, I wonder why we ever took you seriously!"
The lower half of the Manananggal Phantom shot several blasts towards Haruto, Koyomi and Nitou, sending them all back. Sparks flew across their armor as the upper half of Manananggal flew at Sarah.
"Stay back!" Sarah yelled.
"Gotta get a good one!" Nitou called out. With that, he placed a Ring into the side of his Beastdriver.
CONNECT!
Nitou reached into the Magic Circle that appeared in front of him, grabbing his second Dice Saber. He tossed both of his Dice Sabers into the air while placing on two Chameleon Rings. As soon as the Dice Sabers stabbed into the ground, he placed his Ringed hands into them.
SIX! GO! CHAMELEO!
FOUR! GO! CHAMELEO!
"Ten times the fun!" Nitou exclaimed. He picked up both of his Dice Sabers and sent forth two slashes. Ten chameleons ran out and charged at the Manananggal Phantom, lashing out at it with their tongues before Koyomi flew in, aiming her RavenRifleScepter at her.
"Down with you, you vile creature!" Koyomi called out. She spun around her RavenRifleScepter in Rifle Mode and shot at the upper half of Manananggal, sending her to the ground.
"That's it!" Manananggal exclaimed before reattaching to her lower half. "That's just what I need!" she laughed before running off.
Unknown to anyone, she had already absorbed the Magic Attacks that the Riders sent at her. With her mission partially complete, she flew off into Jump City, using the buildings to help cover her escape.
"That was a weird one." Haruto mused as he looked up.
"You said it," Koyomi said. "She almost evaded my senses. I almost didn't see her coming."
"When she comes back, I'm gonna eat her up." Was all Nitou said.
"Save your appetite," Haruto said to Nitou before looking to Sarah, who was picking up her stuff that dropped when Manananggal almost had her. "Let's check on our new Gate."
Haruto, Nitou and Koyomi all held their hands out, cancelling their transformations, before walking over to see Sarah.
"Thanks for the save back there," Sarah said. "Without you, I would have ended up as another one of those Phantom Victims," she mused. "I still can't believe those guys were once human."
"We can't believe you hardly freaked out," Koyomi said, to which Haruto and Nitou nodded to each other in agreement. "If she was after you, it was probably for a good reason," she added on. "Mind telling us who you are?"
"Sarah, Sarah Ventura," Sarah replied. "You probably saw it, and felt it, sorry for that," she said as she turned to Haruto. "I'm an athlete. I work out a lot, skate most of the time. I used to be a doctor, and I can see that you two are in need of an overdue appointment."
"Nah, not necessary," Nitou said. "Koyomi-Chan and I have things well under control."
"You were gobbling up Mana Energy into your Belt and trying to whack her at the same time." Sarah noted.
"Hmm, that sounds like Kousuke Nitou," Koyomi teased. "Always thick-headed after he fell into that hole."
"Can we cut it out with my accident?!" Nitou exclaimed, shaking Koyomi. Koyomi looked to him annoyed before she unleashed an energy pulse, knocking him away.
"Never touch me again." Koyomi said dangerously.
"I guess you can do them," Haruto said before turning back to Sarah. "Have you been going through anything lately?" he asked. "Some emotion that that Phantom could use against you?"
Sarah sighed. "I feel like I'm being dumped," she said. "See, I have a girlfriend named Sally… we have something special going on."
"Oh, you're a lucky girl." Haruto said.
"We met at the skate park six months ago," Sarah explained. "She literally fell into my arms while I was on the half-pipe. We fell in love, and eventually moved into an apartment together. Our skating skills are… not so good," she went on. "We've both been improving, but a week ago, I noticed Sally hanging out with my old coach and classmate, Alan Walker."
"Oh… I see." Haruto said as Koyomi chased after Nitou angrily before he started to run back at her with a quarterstaff nearby.
"I've tried to ask her what's been going on, but her responses have been vague," Sarah went on. "Recently, she started to take me to the park, and she keeps hanging out with Alan. You see, I thought she just needed space, but then… there was the dip."
"He dipped her?" Haruto asked while Koyomi was now on Nitou's shoulders, causing him to blindly stumble around.
"Yeah, and…" Sarah went on before noticing what was going on. "Don't you want to… stop your friends before someone gets hurt?"
"What?" Haruto asked. He turned around and sighed. "Come on!" he exclaimed exhaustedly. "Give it a rest, you guys!" he yelled before placing a Ring over his WizarDriver.
BIND, PLEASE!
Several chains appeared, tearing Nitou and Koyomi away from each other.
"HE/SHE STARTED IT!" Nitou and Koyomi yelled.
"Wow," Sarah said. "How long has this been going on?"
"They've been acting like children for a while," Haruto explained. "Nitou was my main best Rider until he lost his powers. Then Raven was revealed to be my old friend, Koyomi, who had become a Kamen Rider, and she took his place until Nitou got his powers back. Now, they're arguing over who my main Second Rider is."
"Trying to earn the spot, huh?" Sarah asked. "I guess I can put my crisis on hold. This has always been my favorite situation to handle when I was going through Psych Class."
"You're sure we shouldn't bring her to the Tower, where it's safer?" Nitou asked.
"In case we haven't told you, the Tower was also where Phoenix attacked us, Cheshire broke in, and Mira-Mira snuck in," Koyomi recalled. "The last thing we need is the Tower to be infiltrated again, especially since we've put more protocols in place."
"Well, I… guess we can go in the room next door," Sarah said. "Though I'll need to get my stuff from my Apartment. There are some things there that could help out with this."
"Hai," Haruto said with a nod. "But I'm coming with you," he added on. "In case that Phantom attacks again, you'll need protection."
"Sounds good," Sarah agreed. "Two against one is good odds."
"Right," Haruto said before he turned back to Nitou and Koyomi. "I'm keeping Garuda here to watch over you. If you argue, he will fly to me and let me know what's going on. If you misbehave, you will face the consequences," he added on. "Savvy?"
"Yeah, yeah." Nitou said.
"Sure." Koyomi said, rolling her eyes. She walked over down the hall, with Nitou following her while Garuda chirped and flew over the two, keeping a small camera that recorded everything that happened.
"Come on," Sarah said. "Sally and my Apartment is a bit far from here."
"Yeah, and I need to save up on Mana for when the Phantom attacks next," Haruto said. "I could use a good walk."
"Just stay close." Sarah said before she and Haruto walked out.
Not too far away, Alan was walking behind Sally to the Recreation Center. He noticed some people from there near the park, talking with the police, while another was being loaded into an ambulance.
"Sally, maybe we should see if anyone saw what happened to Sarah," Alan suggested, causing Sally to turn around to face him. "Looks like something went down here."
"Nothing is going to stop me from seeing Sarah again," Sally said, just as Sarah and Haruto exited the building in the distance. "I just need a word with her, and we'll be able to patch things up. I don't want her to feel so insecure about all this."
"Um… Sally?" Alan asked, noticing what was going on. "Maybe we're too late." He said, pointing behind her.
Sally turned around, seeing Haruto walking with Sarah. Immediately, she dropped her skates in shock.
"Is she… moving on?" Sally asked.
From a rooftop, Manananggal watched what was happening. She was about to leave until Slade appeared next to her.
"Something the matter?" Slade asked. "Your Gate has suppressed her emotions."
"And that was something I did not account for," Silver said calmly. "Going through a phase and having it disrupted put me a bit off-schedule, but no need to worry," she said before looking to Sally, who was looking down sadly while Alan put a comforting hand on her shoulder. "I think I know a way we can get back on-track."
Back at Titans' Tower, Cyborg and Robin were with Wajima in the former's room. Shunpei was with them as well, all four looking over security footage from before they arrived in Jump City.
"Haruto-Tachi are sure taking their time downtown." Shunpei mused.
"I'm sure he's keeping Koyomi and Nitou in line," Robin said before switching to a camera of downtown during the time when Nitou and Beast Boy were in the competition to get their new Bikes. "Anything here look familiar?" he asked, showing Nitou and Beast Boy on their way to the harbor on one side of the street while Jinx, See-More and Kid Flash walked in the opposite direction on the other side.
"So far, no…" Wajima said before seeing someone go off of Nitou and Beast Boy's side of the street to try and catch up with Jinx, See-More and Wally. "Wait… there's someone over there."
"Right here?" Robin asked, pressing a button to enhance the screen and bring it back to where Wajima noticed the individual.
"That one, the girl with the white hair," Wajima said, prompting Cyborg to enhance on the very girl. "I've seen her before… sometime before Haruto first started his time as a Kamen Rider."
"Before you met me and Rinko too?" Shunpei asked.
"Yeah…" Wajima said. "Her name escapes me… but I know she was someone other than Fueki who commissioned me to make Magic Rings from Stones."
"There was someone besides Fueki?" Cyborg asked. "I mean… that's the guy who was the White Wizard Haruto told us about, right?"
"Yeah, to both," Wajima confirmed with a nod. "She was still younger, but she was someone who wanted to help in something called the Magic War. I thought she was talking about the Sabbath, but turns out she was wrong. I never saw her after Haruto became Kamen Rider Wizard."
"Well, that sounds… ominous," Robin mused. "Let's see where this all leads to, and if there is anything else that can help us track her down." He said before Cyborg started to play more footage from the previous months.
At the apartment, Haruto was with Sarah, keeping a watch out for Manananggal while making sure she was getting everything she needed to help out Koyomi and Nitou. As he was looking around, he noticed a picture of Sarah with Sally, the former making a Peace Sign with her fingers while Alan stood leaned next to Sally.
"You never told me how close the three of you were," Haruto mused. "You look so happy."
"Alan and I met in High School, during my time in Gym Class," Sarah said. "I was struggling with some sports, and he was an expert with the way around. He taught me some of his tricks, a spinning dropkick from the bleachers, quadruple-axle on the skate rink, even a six-spin spiral on a skateboard," she explained before letting out a chuckle. "We were close friends, but never went beyond that after we graduated," she went on. "I eventually found myself living not too far away from him, and afterwards, I met Sally, we fell in love, and the rest is history from there."
"And you think your best friend would have an affair with your girlfriend?" Haruto asked as Sarah picked up some papers before reaching for a projector.
"No, but I'm sure something will work out," Sarah said before she found herself struggling with the projector. "You think you can lend a hand here?" she asked. "I have a bit of… cerebral palsy. I'm good on my feet, just not so much with my hands."
"Sure thing," Haruto said. He walked over to Sarah and helped her to pick up the projector. "How about I help you with those photos and pencils over there?" He asked, pointing to a box of photos and pencils on the desk.
"Sure thing, just be careful with that first picture in the box," Sarah said, unaware that the top half of Manananggal was watching over her and Haruto. "Sally's fond of that. Best picture she ever took of the two of us together."
"Good to know." Mana Nan said with a mischievous smile.
Haruto, now with the photos and the pencils, opened the door for Sarah, who was holding her own share of items. However, waiting for them outside was the same girl who gave the Titans the new Magic Stone.
"You!" Haruto exclaimed. "Koyomi and I saw you before!"
"Have you made the Rings from the Stone I gave you?" The girl asked.
"Multiple Rings?" Haruto asked. "And how did you know where to find me?" He further asked. "Who are you?"
"I will reveal my secrets once you complete and use the Rings," the girl simply said. "Only when used together at once can their powers be unlocked. If not done in that exact way, your power will backfire on you," she warned cautiously. "I am on your side, Kamen Rider. Trust in my words, and all shall be revealed." She concluded before turning to the side and walking away.
"Oi! Wait up!" Haruto called out, running after the mysterious girl.
"Haruto!" Sarah yelled, running after Haruto.
Haruto and Sarah turned the corner, only to find the girl was nowhere to be found. However, a PlaMonster on the ground resembling a black cat looked to them briefly before putting and running away.
"What was that all about?" Sarah asked.
"I don't know, but I'm hoping to get some answers soon," Haruto said before turning back to Sarah. "We should get back to Nitou and Koyomi before Garuda tells us they're trying to tear each other apart."
"Two clients I had nearly did that!" Sarah exclaimed. "And they were only ten years old!"
At the Recreation Center, Garuda was continuing to watch over Nitou and Koyomi. The two were now sitting on a couch, Nitou surfing through the channels on the television while Koyomi was meditating with her glass ball in her hands.
"Haruto, always taking too long," Nitou complained after going through the selection of channels before turning off the television. "Nothing good on," he muttered. "I bet he always never came for me when I was in a pinch."
"That's the difference between you and me," Koyomi said. "Haruto and I always stand by each other. No delay, no hassle."
"Sure, you had no hassle," Nitou said. "Always at home, drinking tea and going on special dates with my rival."
"Your rival was the only one who survived the Sabbath!" Koyomi almost yelled had she not noticed Garuda in time, still recording them.
"Can't do much to each other," Nitou said. "But… with every pinch… there is also an opportunity."
"Does that really apply to any situation?" Koyomi asked.
"What do you think?" Nitou asked back.
"I can't wait for Haruto to return." Koyomi said to herself as Sally and Alan passed by.
"He's probably keeping Sarah safe," Nitou said. "They'll be back any minute."
"Sarah's seeing someone else?" Sally asked.
"Hey, don't worry. I know Sarah," Alan said. "She may not have come out as gay when I knew her, but I know she would never cheat on anyone."
"I guess you're right," Sally said. "But let's do some Tai Chi to get the stress out of my systems, just in case."
As soon as Sally and Alan entered the Meditation Room of the Recreation Center, Haruto and Sarah came back, carrying all the equipment with them. They turned to the lounge, where Garuda flew to them while Nitou and Koyomi both got up, ready to see what the two had for them.
"Sorry we're late," Haruto said. "That silver-haired girl came to us again."
Koyomi's eyes widened. "The same one who gave us that Magic Stone?" she asked.
"The very same," Haruto said. "She says it should make at least more than one Ring."
"Well, that's certainly strange." Nitou mused.
"When we get back to the Tower, we can try and find out more about her," Haruto said. "For now, I hope you're ready for your overdue session."
Koyomi and Nitou both sighed.
"Sure." Nitou said.
"Bring it." Koyomi added on.
"Okay, well, in my studies, I was taught to try and find a common ground for two opposing people. Something they have in common," Sarah explained. She motioned for Haruto to put down the box of photos. She opened it and kept her special photo that Sally took in its plastic casing. She took out the rest and shuffled through them. "I'm going to show you two a series of pictures," she told Nitou and Koyomi. "If you find it funny, you can laugh. Recoil if it makes you uncomfortable, or if you don't have a comment, stay silent. The ones we find both of you reacting to will help us find your common ground," she went on. "Are we good to go?"
"Good luck," Koyomi said. "Mayo Man and I hardly agree on anything."
"Well, we're in a pinch, but as I say, a pinch is a chance, so we have a chance at this," Nitou said. "Show away, Teach."
"Okay…" Sarah said. She unfolded one of the photographs and showed it, revealing a long line of hot dogs covered in ketchup and mayonnaise.
"Oh…" Nitou said while Koyomi recoiled.
"Now… this." Sarah went on, showing a picture of Beast Boy being scared off by Raven during the first encounter with Doctor Light.
Koyomi chuckled a little while Nitou shared an expression of annoyance.
"I shouldn't be laughing… but that was a bit funny." Koyomi said.
"Moving right along…" Sarah said before she showed a picture of the movie poster for The Peanuts Movie.
"Yes!" Nitou cheered.
"Too cheeky." Koyomi simply said while trying to hide her excitement for the new movie.
"And next…" Sarah said, taking out the next photo. She unfolded it, revealing what appeared to be a Kamen Rider in a dark suit with a wild hairstyle, wearing what seemed to be armor made from a pink bicycle with a green wheel and a pink wheel.
Immediately, without any hesitation after seeing the picture, Nitou and Koyomi both burst out laughing uncontrollably. Haruto raised an eyebrow, as did Sarah. The two looked to the photograph themselves before snickering a little.
"He's wearing a pink bicycle!" Nitou exclaimed. "And it looks like a ten-speed!"
"I am very powerful!" a voice called out, causing Haruto and Sarah to jump in surprise and look for the source of the voice.
"You're wearing a bicycle! Not riding it, wearing it!" Koyomi cried out. "That's just too hilarious!"
"I will kill you all!"
"And we're gonna bury you face-down so we have a place to park your bike!" Nitou exclaimed, causing the voice to give off an irritated groan before disappearing from the presence of everyone.
"I… think we're actually getting somewhere." Haruto said.
Later on, after Nitou and Koyomi calmed themselves down from the laughter, Sarah was now sitting down with a clipboard in her hands. She placed her pencil into her left hand and started to write down Nitou's name first in Japanese kanji before writing it out in English.
"Okay, tell me, Nitou, why are you here today?" Sarah asked.
Haruto and Koyomi were both standing up while Nitou was on his back, laying down on the couch.
"Wait, you know why I'm here!" Nitou exclaimed.
"I only stick to the words I'm taught to use in these sessions, not question them," Sarah said. "Now answer the question. Why are you here today?"
"Well, Doc, I feel like I've been replaced," Nitou said, deciding to go along with the act. "At first, I was Haruto's partner for a while back in Japan. But when I gave up my powers, I found there wasn't much I could do."
"Recently, I've heard that Kamen Rider Wizard has a new partner," Sarah went on. "How do you feel about that?"
"Replaced, as I said," Nitou replied back. "I mean, I appreciate Koyomi being on board, but she's now a bit his age, as Raven, and since they have a chemistry together…" he started to explain, getting Haruto and Koyomi to nervously blush at each other. "I don't know how to act, especially since they've been so close before she became a Rider."
"I see," Sarah said before turning her attention to Koyomi. "Now… Ms. Koyomi Roth… before we start, do you have any questions or comments for Mr. Kousuke?"
"Well, just one… Koyomi said. She glanced down and pointed at the couch. "Why does he get to lay down while I have to stand? Is there a law against Half-Phantoms?"
"Oh, sorry," Nitou said, getting up. "Here you go. Now I can stand."
"Um… thanks?" Koyomi said with uncertainty. She got down and simply sat on the couch, prompting Nitou to get back down and do the same.
"Koyomi Rachel Roth, how do you feel as the Replacement Rider to Kamen Rider Wizard?" Sarah asked.
"Well… I never set out to be a replacement. I never did when I reincarnated," Koyomi said. "I only became a Rider from my own strength in magic. Haruto and Nitou, they're the real Rider Duo."
"And… you have spent time with Mr. Souma before?" Sarah asked.
"Do you have to do this like an actual psychiatrist?" Koyomi asked.
"I don't question the procedure, I just enforce it." Sarah replied.
"Well, yes, I have spent plenty of time with Haruto," Koyomi replied. "I was a girl who could sense Phantoms before, and now, after being freed from being a puppet, I'm my own person, able to make my own choices and be who I choose to be."
"But did you set out to become closer to Haruto by being his Secondary Rider?" Sarah asked.
"Not really," Koyomi replied. "I only meant to fight alongside him, to help give him the Hope he needed to bring the Philosopher's Stone to me," she answered. "Once he did, I was complete again, a real girl. Being a Rider helped me to be closer to Haruto, yes, but… spending time with him like how I used to was how I was able to be close to him too. If anything, replacing his partner was the last thing I ever wanted."
"You're all still his friends," Sarah said. "I don't see how he could ever find a replacement for a friend that's his Rider…" she said as Nitou smiled. "Or a friend he's been with since he survived the Sabbath. If anything, you two are more his friends than replacements for each other."
Koyomi raised an eyebrow. "I… guess I never thought of it that way," she said. "I mean, I've been fighting alongside him before Nitou regained his powers, so I have kind of been feeling attached to the Rider Battles."
"And maybe I should have spoken up to say something about my position…" Nitou added on. "I guess, after seeing Koyomi be a Rider more than I could ever be, I was feeling jealous."
"And because of that, you were becoming too competitive with each other," Haruto spoke up. "You're both my friends, and my best Riders. I have no preference on who is the best. You two are the greatest Rider Partners I could have ever asked for. There's no one I could have by my side to prove otherwise."
Sally and Alan were walking back at the same time this was happening. In the shadows, Manananggal was watching. She quietly reverted back into her Silver St. Cloud disguise and walked over to Sarah.
"Mrs. Beatrice, I see you are feeling much better," Silver said before she looked to Haruto, Nitou and Koyomi. "And I can see you've made some… magical friends while you were at it."
"Well, by helping people instead of feeling sorry for myself, I feel that I could let go of my pain, and clear my mind," Sarah said. "By the way… I never asked you how you knew about me."
"Well… you see…" Silver started to say before the Griffin, Garuda and Hippogriff PlaMonsters started to chirp.
"What's going on here?" Alan asked as he and Sally walked over.
"Sarah?" Sally asked.
"Sally!" Sarah exclaimed. "What are you doing here? I thought you were still at the park."
"I was, but I decided to come and check on you," Sally said as Koyomi narrowed her eyes at Silver. "Are you… hanging out with someone else?"
"I thought you were…" Sarah said as Silver reached for the cased photograph that Sally took of her with Sarah. "Is there something going on with you and Alan?"
"Well… you see…" Sally started out, only for Koyomi to unsheathe her RavenRifleScepter and press it against Silver's chest.
"Going somewhere, Silver?" Koyomi asked. "Or should I say… Phantom Manananggal?"
Silver laughed. "Just like you, Little Girl, to ruin everything," she mused. With that, she punched Koyomi away before throwing the photo to the ground. She took out her sword and prepared to slash it apart.
"No!" Sarah yelled, getting in the way.
Silver slashed down, cutting a bit of the photo but wounding Sarah. She yelled in pain before she kicked the bi girl away, causing Sally to gasp.
"Stay away from her!" Alan yelled, running to attack Manananggal.
Manananggal chuckled and swatted Alan to the side before noticing Sally run to check on Sarah.
"Sarah, no, no, no!" Sally panted frantically. She placed her head to her chest to try and hear a heartbeat. Much to her chagrin, the beat came, but it was very faint. "I'm sorry, Sarah, I'm sorry!" she cried before purple cracks started to appear over her body. "I am so sorry!"
"That's the spirit," Manananggal said sadistically. "Give into the despair that you have lost your loved one. Despair from the fact that you were never there for her when she needed you! Despair—!"
"Despair my ass!" Nitou exclaimed, running in before leaping down and performing a dropkick that sent Manananggal rolling away.
"You're going to wish you hadn't done that." Haruto said sternly as he, Koyomi and Nitou placed their hands onto their respective Drivers.
DRIVER ON!
DRIVER ON!
DRIVER ON!
PLEASE!
COME ON! LET'S GO!
"Ghouls, rise!" Manananggal exclaimed, summoning several Ghouls.
A SHABADOOBIE TOUCH TO HENSHIN! A SHABADOOBIE TOUCH TO HENSHIN!
AZARATH-O METRI-A RAIDA! AZARATH-O METRI-A RAIDA!
"Henshin!"
"Henshin!"
"Hen… Shin!"
Haruto placed his hand over his WizarDriver as Koyomi did the same with her RavenDriver. At the same time, Nitou inserted his own Ring into the side of the Beastdriver.
FLAME, PLEASE!
AZARATH METRI-KAMEN RAIDA! PLEASE!
SET! OPEN! L-I-O-N! LI-ON!
Haruto held his hand out to the side, just as Nitou spread his arms out wide while Koyomi held her hand into the air. Magic Circles started to pass through all three of them, transforming them into Kamen Riders Wizard, Beast and Raven respectively.
"Saa, Showtime!" Haruto exclaimed.
"It's Lunchtime now!" Nitou called out.
"The World is our stage!" Koyomi yelled.
"Get those Riders!" Manananggal exclaimed, charging with her Ghouls to attack the Magic Kamen Riders.
"One of you go to Sally's Underworld!" Haruto called out as he, Koyomi and Nitou took out the WizardSwordGun, the RavenRifleScepter and the Dice Sabers respectively. "The other help me fight these guys!"
"Nitou, how long has it been since Khimaira has had a good meal?" Koyomi asked.
"A while," Nitou replied. "He likes Helheim Fruit, but Phantoms seem to suit his taste the best."
"Then you'd best stay up here and handle Manananggal," Koyomi said. "I can sense a lot of Magic radiating off of her. That, plus the Mana from the Ghouls, should be enough to satisfy his taste. I'll handle whatever Inner Phantom has grown inside of Sally."
Nitou nodded. "Good luck down there," he said. He took out one of his Rings and handed it to Koyomi. "If you're going down there, use this," he said, handing his Dolphin Ring. "If Haruto could find a good use for this, then you can too. Could be twice as strong in the Underworld as it is fighting an actual Phantom."
"You're giving me your Ring?" Koyomi asked. "Boy, we must really be bonding."
"Go, before it's too late!" Nitou exclaimed as he and Haruto stood ready. "We'll take on these guys!"
"Got it!" Koyomi said with a nod. "Eat her up, Nitou!" she encouraged before running towards Sally.
"Don't leave me… please…" Sally said as she continued to hold onto Sarah's unconscious body.
"It will be alright," Koyomi said as she knelt down. She placed her Engage Ring onto Sally's finger. "Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm trying to save you." She added on before placing it over her RavenDriver.
ENGAGE, PLEASE!
A Magic Circle appeared over Sally. Koyomi flew into the air and leapt down.
Inside of Sally's Underworld, Koyomi arrived. She looked around and noticed that she was in the Skate Park.
"This is your memory," Koyomi said. She saw Sally skate near Sarah before accidentally slipping. Before she could fall, Sarah took noticed and caught her. "You and Sarah first met here."
"You're pretty good," Sarah said. "Sorry for touching you. I just feel… something about you and I right now," she said before she and Sally blushed. "I'm Sarah."
"Sally." Sally replied in the same friendly manner.
"Love at first sight." Koyomi mused.
Sarah giggled as she helped Sally up. The two looked to each other lovingly before leaning in towards each other. However, before they could get the chance to kiss, a large Spider-Like Inner Phantom appeared from several purple cracks. It roared and ran around, starting to destroy the Underworld.
"Not so fast!" Koyomi called out. She flew after the Anansi Inner Phantom and slashed at it with her RavenRifleScepter, getting its attention. Anansi growled and lashed at her with one of its legs, but she held her ground before it shot several purple energy webs at her. Quickly, she placed the Dolphin Ring on her finger before placing it over her RavenDriver.
DOLPHI, PLEASE!
"Here goes nothing!" Koyomi exclaimed as she glowed an extra blue with her own Balance Color.
Two legs struck at Koyomi, but she backflipped away from them, falling into the ground. She leapt out from the wall behind Anansi and slashed at him before falling through the ground again. She leapt up from the ground and shot down at Anansi afterwards, sending him tumbling backwards. However, he ran up the wall and started to use his legs as helicopter blades, flying around and destroying more in the area.
"No you don't!" Koyomi yelled, spreading out her arms. She placed her Raven Ring onto her finger before placing it over the RavenDriver.
RISE THE RAVEN NEVERMORE! PLEASE!
As soon as Koyomi activated her Raven Rise Ring, she placed another Ring over her Driver.
"Let's fly!"
CONNECT, PLEASE!
Koyomi's Inner Phantom, a giant blue glowing raven, flew out from a Magic Circle. She leapt into the air, using her Machine Raven from another Magic Circle, to fly after her Raven while shooting at Anansi even more.
Up above, Haruto and Nitou slashed at both Manananggal and the Ghouls. Haruto placed his WizardSwordGun behind his back to block several attacks before slashing at the rest in front of him. He took out his Hurricane Ring and placed it onto her finger before placing said hand over his WizarDriver.
HURRICANE, DRAGON! BYUU, BYUU, BYUU-BYUU, BYUU, BYUU!
A Green Magic Circle appeared over Haruto and phased through him. His armor turned from red to green within seconds, and soon, he was flying through the air. He flew down and shot at the Ghouls before Manananggal slashed at his sword. Before he could be finished off, he kicked her away and placed his Connect Ring on before placing it over his WizarDriver, as well as his Copy Ring.
CONNECT, PLEASE!
COPY, PLEASE!
Haruto held his left hand into one of the Magic Circle and pulled out a second WizardSwordGun before slashing at Manananggal with it. He caught his disarmed weapon soon afterwards before spinning and slashing her away.
"I've got her, Haruto!" Nitou called out. He spun around his Dice Sabers and slashed away more Ghouls before placing his Falco Ring into the side of his Beastdriver.
FALCO! GO! FA-FA-FA FALCO!
The Falcon Mantle appeared on Kamen Rider Beast's shoulder before he flew around as well. He slashed away at Manananggal before several Ghouls surrounded him. He placed his Dice Sabers into the ground before placing his Falco Ring into both of them.
"Come on, give me something good!" Nitou called out.
SIX! GO! FA-FA-FA FALCO!
"Six, and next!" Nitou said, placing his Ring into his second Dice Saber.
SIX! GO! FA-FA-FA FALCO!
"Alright!" Nitou called out before twirling both of his Dice Sabers around. "Fly, my pretties!" he called out, sending twelve falcons flying to destroy the Ghouls. As soon as they exploded, he called their Mana Energy into his Beastdriver.
"Try and catch me!" Manananggal called out, separating herself from her lower half. Garulu fired at Haruto and Nitou, but Nitou placed his new Connect Ring into the side of his Beastdriver.
CONNECT, PLEASE! GO!
Nitou ran forward at Manananggal before backflipping, to where the Machine Beast appeared out of a Magic Circle. He leapt right onto the seat and placed both of his Dice Sabers into the sides to act as handlebars. He revved the engine, and soon, he was riding on after Manananggal, avoiding her ground blasts while sending up blasts at the new Phantom, each in the shape of his animals that made up Khimaira.
Back in the Underworld, Koyomi flew at the Anansi Phantom with her Raven, slashing at it with each stroke and shooting whenever she had a safe distance. She revved her bike and flew at Anansi once again before slashing four of its legs off. Anansi roared before falling onto his back, now paralyzed.
Nitou continued to ride after Manananggal before riding up a ramp. He took out one of his Dice Sabers and slashed at Manananggal, clashing blades with her several times. Soon, the two had their blades locked while wings appeared from the side of the Machine Beast, allowing Beast's bike to fly.
"Don't think you can match my skill, Primordial Mage!" Manananggal taunted.
"Be careful about what you say!" Nitou spat back. He revealed his Chameleon Mantle on his shoulder before the tongue of it lashed out at her, temporarily stunning her before she was sent flying to the ground, where Haruto was waiting for her arrival.
"You're staying here in one piece!" Haruto exclaimed, placing his Ring over his WizarDriver.
CHOU II NE! SPECIAL! SAIKO!
Haruto flew up and slashed at the top half of Manananggal several times before flying up higher to slam her back down to her lower half. While she was staggering in confusion, he placed another Ring over his finger before scanning it on his WizarDriver.
BIND, PLEASE!
Several chains popped up from the ground as Manananggal tried to separate again. Before she could, the chains bound themselves to her, preventing her from splitting again.
"Should we intervene?" Dionne asked as she and Amber watched the battle from a nearby rooftop.
"Her fate's already sealed," Amber replied, flipping her hair. "Besides, one final strike from the Riders, and our new Leader will be a step closer to gaining the new body he so desperately desires. Our work here is done." She proclaimed before walking away.
"Such a shame," Dionne mused with a devious grin. "I was getting used to a modern Phantom. You shall be missed, Silver." She said before turning around and running to join Amber in retreat.
The silver-haired girl watched Amber and Dionne from another rooftop. She narrowed her eye at them before suddenly disappearing into thin air.
"It's time to finish the show!" Koyomi exclaimed back in the Underworld. She leapt off of the Raven and levitated over Anansi before placing a Magic Ring over her RavenDriver.
AZARATH MAGIC, TOUCH TO GO! AZARATH MAGIC, TOUCH TO GO!
Koyomi adjusted her RavenDriver and put on another Magic Ring. She held out her hand and placed it over the Belt to be scanned.
WICKED COOL! KICK STRIKE! AWESOME!
Koyomi spread her arms out and let her Raven fly behind her. The two levitated up before the Machine Raven formed a Kick Foot for her. She soon spun around like a wheel and flew towards the Anansi Phantom. Her Kick Foot attached to her own before she performed a flying dropkick, the Raven's Claw Crash. Both of her feet kicked Anansi into the air before she landed on the ground. The Anansi Inner Phantom exploded behind her as her Raven Phantom flew behind her, both standing victorious.
"Nitou, take her!" Haruto called out, getting out of the way for Nitou to ride through, still riding on his Machine Beast.
"Time to finish this meal!" Nitou called out, placing his Khimaira Ring into the slot of his controls of the Machine Beast.
BEAST STRIKE! GO! L-I-O-N! LI-ON!
FALCO! CHAMELEO! BUFFA! DOLPHI! FALCO! CHAMELEO! BUFFA! DOLPHI! FALCO! CHAMELEO! BUFFA! DOLPHI! FALCO! CHAMELEO! BUFFA! DOLPHI!
Nitou shot his bike forwards at Manananggal, sending forth his Lion first before numerous attacks of each of his Animals. Manananggal groaned from each hit before the entirety of Khimaira roared forward. Nitou slammed down on one of the brakes, causing him to spin around and fuse with Khimaira. Executing his new Finisher, the Beast Devour, he rode through the Manananggal Phantom, with each of his animals lashing out at her before stopping the bike, a large amount of Mana now flying towards the Beastdriver.
"Thanks for the meal." Nitou quipped.
"Forever live the Dark Phantom!" Manananggal called out before falling back and exploding.
Haruto and Nitou looked to where Manananggal stood, now with surprise on their faces under their helmets.
"The Dark… Phantom?" Haruto asked.
Nitou got off of the Machine Beast and walked towards Haruto. "We can worry about that later," he said. "Right now, let's go check up on Sally."
Alan got up, a little shaken from the hit he took, and ran towards Sally as well.
The large purple cracks on Sally faded away, and soon, Koyomi leapt out of her. She wiped some dust off of her should before she turned around, seeing Sarah regain consciousness slowly. Sally looked to her with surprise before Haruto, Nitou and Alan all joined them.
"Sarah?" Sally asked. She let out a tear of happiness before hugging her girlfriend tightly. "I thought I lost you!"
"Me too," Sarah said. "Sally… why haven't we been spending more time together?" she asked.
"What?" Sally asked.
"I see you spending more and more time with Alan," Sarah explained. "Is there something you're not telling me?"
"Just because you're not spending time doesn't mean she doesn't like you," Koyomi said before patting Nitou on the shoulder and then leaning against him. "You don't have to worry. There's no such thing as a 'new favorite'."
Sally smiled. "She's right," she said. "See, when I first met you, I couldn't even last ten minutes skating on anything. Then you introduced me to Alan."
"Your coach and best friend," Alan went on. "I've been giving her lessons, so that the next time you and Sally go together to the park without me…"
"We can do it together," Sarah finished up. "And here I thought you found someone new."
"There is no one… who can replace you." Sally said before she closed her eyes and leaned in to Sarah's face.
Sarah blushed and put her face closer to Sally's. The two kissed, sharing their love with each other in the warm embrace of the moment.
"Hmm," Nitou said. "They're sort of like us. Fall out at first…"
"But come back together strong," Koyomi said. "But I'm not kissing you."
"Well, now that we're all back together again, let's have some fun tonight," Haruto said as he led Nitou and Koyomi outside. "So… what are both of you doing tonight?"
"Meditating, the usual stuff." Koyomi replied.
"I'm probably gonna hog the television, watch reruns of Friends." Nitou replied.
Before Haruto could say anything, he, Nitou and Koyomi all saw a white zombie-looking Kamen Rider appear and roar at them before letting out crazed laughter. Immediately, all three stood unimpressed.
"And… you are?" Koyomi asked.
"Aren't you… the guy who wears a pink bicycle?" Nitou asked.
"I am from the Future!" the zombie Kamen Rider exclaimed. "And I will be your go—"
Before the zombie Rider could finish, Beast Boy leapt in as a tiger and started to maul away at him. The rest of the Titans arrived, ready to fight, before seeing that the three magic Riders were simply standing where they were. They all stood down, but Beast Boy continued to attack the Zombie Rider until Terra and Koyomi pulled him up, just as he disappeared.
"I feel bad for whoever in the future has to deal with you." Cyborg mused as he backed away slowly from Beast Boy.
"Yah." Haruto agreed.
"Completely random," Nitou added on before looking to Haruto. "So… are we going to watch Friends tonight or not?"
Haruto turned to Nitou and shook his head. "Sorry, no." He replied.
"Then maybe… meditate with me?" Koyomi asked.
"Pass," Haruto responded, getting Koyomi and Nitou to drop their jaws. "Not because I don't want to, but because Manananggal seemed to be working for someone more powerful than Phoenix."
"Okay… we missed a lot." Terra mused.
"What other Phantom could there be to face?" Starfire asked.
Back at the clock tower, the excess Mana from Manananggal's defeat flew to the figure encased in Magic Stone. Slade walked towards him, and parts of the Stone started to shatter, revealing some jagged arms with an almost-metallic texture.
"My Master…" Slade said. "I am afraid that Manananggal has failed."
"Silver's purpose has been served," the Dark Phantom spoke. "She may not have driven someone into Despair, but the magic she has gained from every hit she took was meant for our cause. Soon, Slade, the Harbinger will be ready, and we shall activate the Thanatos Vessel to bring forth an era of Phantoms to feast on the entire World!"
"What of Phoenix?" Slade asked. "He had given me my higher purpose as a powerful Phantom. He will not take lightly to knowing someone is plotting against him, or that we are working behind his back."
"Yugo… will bow to my power," the Dark Phantom said before a set of red glowing eyes appeared, breaking part of the Magic Stone again, before glowing purple. "No one… will deviate me from my destiny… again!"
That night, the silver-haired girl walked through the city. She kept her hood over her head as everyone passed by, not taking any mind to her as she made her way towards the beach.
The silver-haired girl arrived on the beach and felt the tides wash up at her feet. She looked up and watched the lights of Titans' Tower glow before the Black Cat PlaMonster purred at her leg.
DRIVER ON!
"Henshin."
CHANGE… LEGACY!
A Magic Circle with a star passed through the girl, revealing herself to be a purple Kamen Rider resembling Wizard, only with a single eye. She looked up and saw an eye in the moon.
"The Oracle delivers… Kamen Riders."
