Hey guys!

For starters, thanks for looking at the story! While I can't promise that you won't be disappointing (due to your taste of fanfic), I will try hard to have you engaged in the plot, and wanting to always click "Next Chapter".

I'll be blunt, this is my first fanfiction. I'm writing this right now at the very end of the story, in an edit, years later. I started in my first year of high school, and right now it's almost my last year. I know my writing style has changed incredibly, which is why for those who ever look back, there might be some 'missing' parts. It was cringe worthy to look back at my writing 3 years ago and so many, MANY edits have occurred. Re-formatted and I swear, half rewrote parts of the story. The cringes were starting to hurt my shoulders they were that bad.

ALSO: If you ever spot anything glaringly wrong, or are confused, please ask! I try to answer any PMs or reviews with concerns in a timely manner, and they are never a bother. I'm frankly a very lazy editor of my work. If you spot a typo, please pipe up! Thank you!

Most chapters are from the point of Percy and Annabeth our favorite duo but some will have some characters that you're not expecting…

While I never in my head called this a 'prologue'...I have still named it as such. Chapter Two is not given any justice without any clueing in, which is what this chapter's purpose is. While it's slow, it's necessary. Chappie two is when stuff starts to get real.

So without further ado,

Enjoy!

"Mr. Jackson!"

"Mr. Olympian, over here!"

"Mr. Olympian, smile for us!"

"What are your thoughts of Aquatic Industries?"

Flash. Click.

"What do you think about the scandal of Aerial Corporation?"

"What about Zeus Grace?"

"Mr. Jackson!"

The suited figure walked forwards, looking straight at the podium, ignoring the crowd to the best of his ability.

Even when he was a child, seeing his father on a similar stage to the one he was walking up never sat well with him. Now when he was in the spotlight to the very press releases he disliked, he felt a strange calm. How silly it felt to be the focus of over two hundred people, and most likely millions more as his face was broadcasted globally.

He slowly walked up the wooden steps, his expensive shined shoes clacking, and walked across the stage, all while taking a paper out of his inside breast pocket. He touched the microphone tapping it softly, satisfied with the sound he stared at the expecting people. "Good morning."

The jumble of voices quieted down.

"I suppose it still must be a bit foreign, a person as young as myself up on a stage like this one, but as my father never thought that age was important. I personally both agree and disagree; age gives a person their experience of life, a knowledge that can only be acquired with time and age, yet, with this passing you also lose several things. Your innovation, innocent, trust, and often good-will. It can affect your creativity and outlook of life."

He looked left and right, putting his hands on the podium. The crowd waited for him to continue, with the clicking of cameras going off like cicadas in the summer.

"Even presently, days after the event that endangered both my life, and billions around the globe, I do not know if it was age, or simple cruelty that allowed this treachery to occur. No matter, we cannot dwell on the past, and instead use it to fuel our futures. I will temporarily be taking back the position of CEO within Aquatic Industries until management has been reconfigured and the market stabilizes. I am in touch with the present temporary board of the Aerial Corporation and Di Angelo Enterprises, and the federal, state, and municipal governments to ensure that this will never happen again."

A few voices took advantage of his small pause but died down as he continued to speak, his voice controlling the area, "I hope that for all investors, businessmen and women, entrepreneurs, stock brokers, and even all civilians that were hurt in this fiasco, you look past the evils and instead welcome me warmly back into this world, at least officially that is. I plan to be everything my father was and while he did leave rather large shoes to fill luckily I have large feet. I look forward to the fturue, and I look forward to working with you all," he paused, "I now open the floor for questions?"

The press exploded at the end of his sentence.

"What are your thoughts on the scandal?"

"How did you survive?"

"What about the list of names of the fired workers?"

"How will you navigate the market after the bailout?"

"Does Ms. Annabeth Chase have any connections to this?"

"How is Jason Grace? News says he was released from the hospital with no injury yet he has not been seen since then!"

"What were the parameters of Luke Castellans' involvement with both parties involved?"

The teenager on the podium stopped and held his hand up. Silence was slowly restored. "I have been asked a very interesting question," he slightly drawled, "Does Annabeth Chase have any connections?" his smile turned to a frosty frown, "As far as I know the woman of which you have repeatedly insulted -rather quite thoroughly I might add- was simply present at the scene but did not have any crucial involvement. She is hardly interested in stock managing and does not like economics to be blunt. Additionally I cannot confirm or deny any questions or statements of any other parties or persons present at the incident, you will have to wait for their official statements or press releases. I also will not answer any other questions regarding Ms. Chase so please, do not ask them."

The voices rose in protest but the figure on the podium squared his shoulders and stood taller. His voice boomed out authoritatively. To reporters with graying hairs he uncannily resembled his late father when they'd interviewed him in the same manner.

"Next question."

SALLY

Sally Olympian sighed as she looked down at her newborn son. She smiled. Even at his tender age –one day and three hours- he already looked like he was ready to take on the world as he looked around the room with curiosity. Sally couldn't help but notice that her son had inherited almost all of her husband's features of green eyes, black hair and a cheeky smile but Sally knew that he would have her heart. She could feel it. Mother's intuition.

"My little Perseus Olympian," she smiled down at the figure of her son, swathed in blankets.

"Look at you two," a low voice rumbled.

"You'll wake him, dear."

Sally looked up so see that her husband had entered the room. She hadn't noticed him. Poseidon beamed down at her. She could feel pride almost radiating off her husband. They had a son. A perfectly healthy, and whether it was just her motherly part of her or not, a beautiful son at that.

They glanced down again to see Percy open his eyes and give a little smile along with an incoherent sound.

Poseidon chuckled as he took their child and rocked him in his arms, "I see he's a light sleeper. It's all from your mother," he said to Percy seriously then peered at her, "You know, we should enjoy this while it lasts."

"Oh?" Sally asked, half curious and half bemused as she shifted in her bed to make herself more comfortable.

"My mother told me that I was a horrible baby and toddler. Cried through the night all the time."

"Really now." Sally laughed, attempting to imagine her husband in such a state. His ever present calm demeanor, no matter angered he rarely raised his voice.

"Oh yes." Poseidon's eyes twinkled as he started to dictate. He altered his voice, no doubt in a humorous way of imitating his late mother. "You just wouldn't believe it! I come back after talking to Metis and he's wailing away! I rush to the source of the noise and the scene meeting my eyes is horrendous! There he is! In the middle of the kitchen with cookies everywhere! The jar is smashed on the floor and the chair is up against the counter! Little Poseidon is screaming his lungs out and holding his wrist! Sprained! Taught him not to climb up onto the counter!"

"Oh my," She giggled. Only Gaea would find a way to rant about her son like that, whether he'd had done her proud or deserved to be sent to a military school.

As the two stopped laughing as a doctor walked in, "Mr. and Mrs. Olympian?"

"Yes." The two answered simultaneously.

"You're free to go. Percy's a healthy baby boy and you're not having any post-birth health issues. Although if you wish to spend the night here we're happy to accommodate you."

"Oh no, no need for that. I'll be perfectly fine at our house. I feel great." Sally stated as she started to sit up out of her bed.

Poseidon rushed over to her. "Are you sure? I don't want you to strain yourself. I mean, you just gave birth Sally! Isn't she supposed to rest more?"

"I'm fine. Besides I'd like to introduce to his home," Sally said. There he went again. Always putting her first, always checking in with her. Not that Sally didn't like it, she always felt connected to her husband, but occasionally he had to take a breath and calm down.

"Are you sure?" Poseidon scrunched his eyebrows like he always did when he was worried.

"Yes." Sally said firmly.

Sally rose out of the hospital bed and took Percy from Poseidon's arms. Poseidon kissed her cheek and thanked the doctor.

"Thank you…" Sally squinted at the doctor's badge, "Dr. Sollace."

"Not a problem." Dr. Sollace answered. "Call the hospital if you need anything or have any questions, if it's urgent, they will route it to me."

Sally raised her eyebrows. So it had already gotten out through the hospital that they were very important patients, VIPs. "I'm fine thank you, although I'll keep it in mind. We've arranged to have a nurse on sight, in case of a minor emergency."

Dr. Sollace smiled, "Excellent. Have a nice night."

Poseidon escorted her out of the hospital. Sally couldn't help but notice that the sky was dark the hospital was still busy. She also noticed that she and her husband were getting the look. She sighed. She had purposely asked Poseidon to an average hospital in attempt to avoid this and he'd agreed, but he'd found a loophole by requesting Dr. William Solace, a renowned doctor known to specifically cater to the wealthy. No matter where they went their names and wealth were their shadows, sticking to them much better than Peter Pan's.

Together the stepped outside into the August air. It had cooled down but the summer stretching itself. Poseidon took out his phone and speed dialed Peleus, their chauffeur. They waited only for half a minute before the sleek black car, one that looked like a taxi rolled up to the hospital.

Just like Peleus. He must have been waiting somewhere in the parking lot all afternoon. Peleus was always putting his best foot forward for them, he loved his work and he treated Poseidon with a polite tone, but more as an equal and not like an employer. When he rolled the front window down she was greeted by his familiar long and thin face. His light brown eyes had bags under them and his similarly colored hair was not as neat as it usually was but the large smile on his face outshone his tired features.

"Good evening Mr. and Mrs. Olympian. I see that your delivery was successful as we officially have a third Olympian with us today," as he spoke he fixed his black tie and collar of the light purple shirt he wore.

"Yes we do Peleus." Poseidon answered as he grinned at his friend, "Peleus, meet Perseus Olympian. Percy, meet Peleus, your eternal slave."

"Eternal well-paid slave," Peleus corrected, "Nice to meet you Percy," he cooed through the window at the bundle of blankets Sally showed him, "Now, I'm only your man if you need a ride, or need help in terms of travel or any advice with women when you're older."

"I think that's my job, don't want him getting the idea that drive-bys are a good plan."

"Okay you two. Let's get ourselves home. Right Peleus?" Sally intervened.

"Right you are Miss."

Sally entered the car's back seat to see a baby carrier all ready and set for her son.

"Why Peleus, you didn't have to do this…"

"No problem Mrs. Olympian, I need all my passengers to be safe, even newborns. Especially newborns."

Sally strapped Percy who'd just fallen asleep again into his carrier and sat down on the soft leather. Poseidon closed the car door for her and went around on the other side of the car. He climbed in and fastened his seatbelt.

"Hit it Peleus."

Peleus turned his head, looking younger than normal, his eyes squinting with judgement, "Wake up young Perseus? Oh no no no, this is going to be the smoothest ride I've ever given."

"Oh shut up and start driving." Poseidon laughed.

"Yessir."

The car started to roll of the hospital pavement and onto the road towards the Olympian estate. Sally felt herself relax in the soft leather upholstery. She was hit with a wave of tiredness. Sally turned her head to smile at her husband, instead of returning it he was already softly snoring away.

"Have a nice rest, dear, because you are going to need it," She murmured before closing her eyes and letting the relaxing vibrations of the car lull her to sleep.

"Dear, it's time to get up, we've arrived," Poseidon softly spoke as he gently shook her awake.

Sally looked to her left,"Where's Percy?" she questioned.

"Peleus offered to take him in and introduce him to Terminus," Poseidon answered, "It might take a while."

"I'm sure of that," Sally yawned as the stepped out of the car and stretched. Poseidon wove his hand into hers and they slowly walked up the twelve steps to their large oak doors.

They saw Peleus holding Percy, who was scowling at Terminus, who was speaking to bundle in his arms.

Terminus looked old for his age due to his early graying hair yet the rest of his body contradicted the graying with a large frame and thick fingers. The material that made up his slick black suit looked like it was stretching across his shoulders and that any sudden movement would rip it. His shoes shone in the light of the walkway lanterns and his tie was accumulated pressed, looking as if it'd just been ironed five minutes prior.

"Young master Perseus. I welcome you to Olympian estate. I am your family's personal bodyguard as well as head of security. While I understand that as a newborn you will not be able to answer any security questions or tests, but when you can they will be necessary. There cannot be any intruders of any kind that would threaten your well-being and safety. That aside, I'm pleased that you're looking well."

Sally and Poseidon looked at each other with raised eyebrows. Terminus might be the slightest bit paranoid about any potential threats entering the premises. With their status though, it was well founded.

"Hello Terminus."

"Why good evening Mistress Olympian. It is nice to see you back for the night," Terminus answered before slightly bowing to both of them before continuing, "It's nice to see you in good health, you look regal as always."

Sally closed her eyes. As much as she liked Terminus he was sometimes unbearable. He was always too polite for her personal tastes. She'd been a daughter in a family that belonged to the upper-middle class and only a co-incidence had allowed her and the Poseidon Olympian to meet. While he hardly even noted the given titles, she had continuously urged him to simply call her Sally, or Mrs. Olympian at most, always to be met with polite refusal.

"Terminus," Poseidon patted him on the shoulder, then took Percy back from Peleus, "That's a bit much."

Terminus frowned, as if the thought had never crossed him, "Pardon me Young Master, I will always be thinking of your safety as top priority," He turned to Poseidon, "Have a good night's rest," Terminus turned opened up massive oak doors.

"Thank you Terminus, have a good night." Sally answered, even if he would be awake on guard for most of it.

They stepped inside and were ushered by Argus.

Poseidon handed Percy to Sally. He then removed his shoes, replaced them with his indoor pair and nodded to Argus.

"Welcome home." Argus greeted them warmly. Argus was one of their youngest staff members, and one of the best looking. He had blonde almost brown hair that was kept short like he was in the military and dark blue eyes. Even though he had first class eloquence he had gladly obliged to not having to wear a tie by Poseidon's loose dress codes. He still wore a button up shirt and a blazer but she spotted the lines of a T-shirt underneath it all.

"I see we have one more officially added to the family."

"Yes, we do Argus." Poseidon answered back.

"Would you like me to lead Perseus to his room? Or will he be staying you Sally?" Argus asked.

"He'll be staying with us." Sally answered as Argus took their shoes away to a nearby closet.

"Excellent. Is there anything else that you would like? Tea perhaps? I personally find it quite soothing before resting," Argus offered.

"No thank you Argus, just make sure that Percy here isn't going to be wearing anything embarrassing or uncomfortable for his skin. Talk to Lacy for assistance if you need, other than that we should be fine."

"As you wish Mr. Olympian. Ring the bell if you need anything and either I or fellow staffs will be present within a minute," Argus promised before leaving the three alone.

Poseidon hugged his wife and son before he kissed Percy and they headed to the master bedroom. Poseidon opened the door for Sally and she walked in and put Percy down in a crib right next to their king sized bed.

Poseidon closed the door and walked up next to Sally, placing his hand on her waist.

"He's going to grow up to be great. I'm sure of it." Poseidon whispered.

"Oh, I'm sure of it. I just hope that he'll be a good sleeper even if he's a light one. As much as I love Percy and children, I love my sleep." Sally responded.

"I agree."

The two sprawled out on their bed on top of the covers with their clothes still on, too tired to do anything else. Sally relaxed on their bed as she listened to her husband's breathing slow and turn into soft snores. She shimmied in his arms to make herself more comfortable. Sally looked at the cradle containing their newborn son.

"Perseus Alexander Olympian." She softly murmured his name.

Sally smiled to herself and drifted off into a peaceful sleep.

PERCY

Terminus was going to kill him.

That was, when he called another staff to let him in after Percy had 'accidentally' broken the electronic lock and moved the bolt over the keyhole from the inside.

It wasn't like he'd tried to mess it up, but it'd just happened and Terminus had been very cross to him recently so he was simply taking advantage of a bad situation.

He giggled, scurrying down the hall hearing his father's voice from one of the closed doors, "I'm telling you, I honestly don't know what to do. They want an all-in or nothing. Of course I have the funds to invest, but I'm just wondering if it's a smart play, Zeus. I've gotten an order already filled out with the bare minimum but I'm wondering if I should cancel or buy more. It doesn't feel right. What would you do?"

That was his father, always busy with work, or having a fancy dinner with his mother at their house so he ate instead with Peleus and Argus beforehand. Sometimes he would go off in the jet and not come back for a long time, but he always returned with a gift or two and that was fun. Argus was very good at giving him piggybacks when his dad wasn't around.

"Perseus!"

Oh no! He'd already gotten in! Percy looked to his left and right and darted into the room across from his father's office. It was dark with no window and had a printer with a light switch that was too tall for him. He eyed the boxes on the shelves that smelled like old papers and quietly shut the door behind him.

He heard Terminus's steps on the marble flooring and then knock on the door. He put his hands over his mouth and held his breath when he realized it wasn't the storage door, but instead Poseidon's.

"Excuse me, sir."

"No, its fine, come in, but do keep it short."

"Have you seen your son recently?"

"I saw Percy just this morning, why, is everything alright?"

"He's just decided to run off in the estate again. He's inside, but it's always good to have an eye, yes? I believe it was an impromptu game of hide-and-go-seek."

"Ah, no, I haven't. Do give him a talking not to go off like that."

"Of course, sir."

"Don't want him running himself into trouble," Poseidon sighed.

"Yes, excuse me," he heard the door shut and Terminus stop for what felt like too long and then slowly walk down the hall.

He reached for the door and then felt his heart in his throat when he heard his father end the call with whoever was on the phone and walk out of his office. If he'd stepped out into the hall a second earlier he would have been nailed. He crouched at the bottom of the door and waited patiently for the sounds of all footsteps to fade away before cautiously turning the handle and peeking out.

He tiptoed out, his sneakers barely making a sound, and closed the storage door behind him as quietly as possible and breathed a sigh of relief.

"Argus!" he heard his father call, much closer than he expected.

He ran into his father's office and hid around the corner as his dad walked right past him and luckily did not enter his office, most likely heading off to the kitchens. He'd noticed that his dad always had coffee when one of the staff found him and he had a short afternoon nap –which was what prompted all of this in the first place anyways; he just wasn't tired so why did he always have to have one?

While he was waiting for the coast to be clear again, he looked around his father's office.

Normally he wasn't allowed in here, and when he was he was told to sit still and not touch anything.

Curiosity piqued, he walked around slowly. On the sides of the office was dark wood and books with the odd bust of a head of a man or woman and on a table in the corner was a globe. The office was part of the old wing of the mansion and had wooden floors and a deep red intricate carpet. In the middle was a desk, and to the left and right of it fold-out tables with various papers on them.

He walked towards the desk in the middle, with the two computer screens and climbed onto the chair. It was a difficult task as it spun but at last he made it and peered at the papers, keyboard, and mouse.

Forgetting his previous plan he clenched his fist around the nearest bunch of papers and looked at them. There were lots of pictures with lines and words. Percy couldn't read that well but even he knew his numbers by heart…as long he could use his fingers. Percy placed back the papers with words and looked at the ones with numbers. He sounded out the words at the top of the page just like his tutor taught him to when the word was long. Often they were made up of smaller easier parts to read.

"A-qua-tic In-dusty-ries," He pronounced, "Sta-tist re-po-ort." He repeated them a couple times.

Percy said the whole thing out loud, "Aquatic Industyries statist report."

He knew what it was! A report was a summary, and status was how something was doing. Just like when the soldiers from his favorite TV show always have a status to the general when something was going wrong, often when the bad guys infiltrated the base.

He looked at the numbers and the charts again and shook his head and blinked…it made sense…everything here made sense.

The very first paper had numbers in green but he looked at the graph and his gut wrenched. Green was always good but somehow he knew that they would go red very fast. Red was bad. In Star Wars only the Sith had red blades, so it had to be so.

Percy looked at his dad's computer screen and back and the paper. He'd managed to read the paper so Percy knew he could at least try to read the screen. He squinted at the screen slowly seeing there was a countdown with six minutes left and a graph that looked identical to the one on the paper in his hand. On the side were little buttons and windows, but at the bottom in larger letters was ORDER STATUS: and two buttons to confirm or cancel.

He looked down at the paper again and then at the door. His father would be coming back any minute now, but he knew he had to do it. He didn't want his father to have bad red numbers. Percy scrutinized the keyboard and hunted down the backspace button and carefully pressed down new numbers. These numbers would stay green for a long time even if they went close to red for a bit.

Percy pumped his fist, then placed the papers back to where they looked like they were before and slid down from the chair and tiptoed to the door.

Upon seeing that nobody was near, he grinned and ran off to the East Wing of the house. He hadn't hid there in a long time, and it was near his room so he could stop by and get his Gameboy. Perfect.

September (two weeks later)

Percy was waiting at one of his dad's offices downtown and scowled as he shifted again in his chair and fought the urge to pull at the bowtie that was wrapped around his neck. He was going to an event that his parents wanted him at and he knew it would suck. Whenever he had to wear a nice tie there were always so many photographers and the flash of all the pictures made it hard to see.

He glanced at the big man next to him, an ever present body-guard and sighed as he glanced at the TV in the corner, set to a quiet volume that was talking about boring things, like the news. He turned to his bodyguard and asked for his Gameboy, which was promptly given to him and soon he tuned out the sound of the television.

"It's amazing Matt. Aquatic Industries moved its stocks in vast quantities, almost at the limited total two weeks ago, and today we are seeing the effect."

"Yes we are Susan," The male newscaster responded. "Previously even though there was no confirmation the relations between the Tsunami Insurance Pros Corporation and Aquatic Industries seemed rocky, but now I don't even know what to say! It seems that investing in the start-up company has been like finding a gold vein for both companies."

"Exactly. We've just seen the earnings for Aquatic Industries spike, and the CEO of Tsunami Insurance must be thanking the heavens for his good fortune," Susan said.

"So Susan, how much are we talking about here?"

'Well Matt, I'm reading that Aquatic Industries just earned 6.8 million dollars because of that transaction."

So that was chapter one! *whew*

Hope you like the general idea of the story, and please remember this chapter is slow on purpose. The next chapter really starts to get into the plot, which if you just look at the name of this fanfiction... you get a pretty darn good idea about what this is... : )
