Ch.19

Rena was making her way to the pokemon center to get her team healed up from her Gym battle when her Holo-caster began to ring and she quickly answered, she smiled at see Professor Sycamore and happily greeted him. The Professor smiled back and then asked "How did your gym battle go?"

"I earned my second badge and I'm just heading up to the Pokemon center to see Nurse Joy to heal my team. I then plan on making my way to your lab to see you like you wanted then head for my third badge."

Sycamore smiled and then said "Don't feel like you need to rush back to the Lab, Rena. Take your time and have some fun along the way! Also, your father send his love and wanted you to know he's going to be pretty busy for the next week so he may not be able to talk to you for a while."

Rena thanked the professor with a smile and they hung up as Rena continued on her way to the Pokemon center, she happily handed Nurse Joy her team for healing and made sure she had every thing she need for on the road during travels ahead. Nurse Joy soon called her up to the desk and handed back her team as the nurse said "Your team is all healed up and healthy. Now do you remember the instructions I gave for Storm's medication?"

Rena nodded and then thanked the young woman as she made her way out the door and out of the city back towards Lumiose City to see what the professor had for her...

Meanwhile back in Rena and Co's original dimension...

Ichigo and a small group of companions had snuck into Los Noches to find out why there hadn't been any recent activity from Aizen and the others, they slowly found their way to the lab where the Machine laid quietly when an alarm suddenly went off as Toushiro had approached the Machine. The startled Shingami stumbled backwards as the machine suddenly started up on it's own before activating and sucked the group into it's portal before shutting down, the Arrancar who arrived too late to see what had happened, looked around and then shrugged before leaving and saying "stupid sand lizards..."

3 days later in the Pokemon Dimension...

Rena laughed happily as she clung to her Great grandmother's mane as the newly named Mistsong raced through the nearby tree line towards Lumiose City which could be seen in the distance, Mistsong then jumped and bounced from tree to tree as Rena squealed in delight and said "This is Awesome!"

Mistsong laughed and then said "We'll be close enough to enter the city in about 5-10 minutes, pup. You ready to see what the professor has for you?"

"Yep, I'll admit I'm really curious and I want to ask more about that mega evolution he mentioned..."

Mistsong chuckled and then with on last bond, raced into an open field near the skateboard/roller-skate park, towards the city entrance. Rena then dismounted after Mistsong came to a stop and recalled the Suicune before walking into the city. Rena walked through the darkening streets as Lumiose city then lived up to it's nickname of the city of Lights, the beautiful lights came on and the city's night life began to stir as Rena walked the path to the Professor's lab/home where she then knocked on the door. The Professor soon came to the door and smiled as he invited Rena in and led her to a guest room, Rena thanked the professor and then asked what the professor wanted to see her about. Sycamore chuckled and said "We'll talk in the morning but I will say that you'll probably enjoy the topic. But for now, take the time to relax for the evening and I know Garchomp would love to see you again."

Rena chuckled and nodded in agreement before the Professor left her in the guest room, Rena was quick to release her smaller team members and then went with them down to the pokemon part of the lab to visit with the Pokemon...

The next morning...

Rena came down the stairs as she pulled her hair back into a high ponytail with a light purple scrunchie and walked into the kitchen where she happily greeted one of the Professor's aides who had brought in fresh breakfast pastries from one of the many cafes, the aide returned the greeting as they passed her a fresh croissant stuffed with fresh berries and cream then told her that Professor Sycamore was in the lab waiting for her. Rena thanked them and headed down the hall to the lab where she could hear more then one voice coming from the room, Rena walked in to see Sycamore talking to an older woman about Professor oak's age and greeted them with a cheery good morning. Sycamore then smiled and waved her over as he then turned to the screen and said "Professor Magnolia, this is the young psychic from Kanto I told you about! Rena this is the Galar Region's very own Pokemon Professor! Professor Magnolia study a very unique event that only occurs in her region know as the dynamax phenomenon."

Rena smiled and then said "It's a pleasure to meet you, professor! How long have you been studying your specialty?"

The elderly woman chuckled and said "I would say around about 30-35 years at this point, maybe you'll come to the Galar region someday yourself and see what I research firsthand."

"That would be really cool to see and do at one point! But why did Professor Sycamore talk to you about me for?"

Both Professors laughed and then Professor Magnolia said "I have two Pokemon that were recently taken from a rather abusive trainer but unfortunately the two have understandable issues with trusting humans, Professor Sycamore had mentioned you had saved and helped abused Pokemon before with their issues and was wondering if maybe you'd like to try your hand at helping these two pokemon."

Rena thought about it and then said "I'm more then willing to try but could I get a bit detail on what happened and what was done to them and also on what species of pokemon they are?"

Professor Magnolia agreed and Rena was quick to grab a notebook to write notes on the professor's words, Rena was nearly about to bust her pencil from how hard she was gripping it from hearing what the two had been through. Rena took a deep breath and said "Professor, Let me talk to my Pokemon about who would be willing to head back to Professor Oak's for now while I work with the two you're sending me. Those two deserve a better life and I'm more then willing to help them...Nobody deserves that type of treatment."

Rena then excused her self and quickly head out of the room to a large room with barely any furnishings besides a few desks along the wall, Rena quickly released her whole team and filled them in on what was going on and the request Professor Magnolia had made of her. Rena then said "I know only I only just brought some of you from the lab but is there anyone wouldn't mind going back for now while I help the two Pokemon from Galar?"

Tia then spoke up and said "To be Honest Rena, you really don't need me on the team at the moment and for the most part I would need to be in the Pokeball anyways due to my form..." Rena nodded as Ulquiorra stepped up and said "I'm also willing to go back, Rena."

Rena sighed but nodded with a small smile as she hugged him and then recalled everyone except her uncle who was quick to sit on her shoulder, Rena gave Aizen a quick scratch behind the ears and then headed back to Professor Sycamore so she could do the transfers of her team...

2 hours later...

Rena and Aizen had made good time in heading towards Shalour City and the third gym when Rena decided to take a break and release her pokemon, she wanted to take this chance to meet and get to know the two that had been transferred to her from the Galar region. Rena found a small clearing off the road and was quick to place a blanket on the ground and set up a small camp stove to make lunch before dishing out pokemon food in equal amounts, she soon had every thing ready and was quick to release Mistsong, Storm and Sun-sung before removing the last two Pokeballs from her belt. Rena took a deep breath and then released the two pokemon, Rena watched as the light faded from the pokeballs to reveal...

Meanwhile with James/Xerneas and Yvetal...

Xerneas smiled as his brother chattered happily about meeting Rena while they traveled towards the Cave system their estranged sister/brother lived in, Zygarde was a bit of a recluse but the brothers did love their gender-neutral sibling and Xerneas was hoping the news of a niece would help them be a bit more social and coax them out of their cave. Xerneas was brought out of his thoughts as he heard Yvetal ask "Think Zygarde's going to be in their den instead of the network of caves they like to explore so much?"

Xerneas snorted and then said "Considering I let our sibling know we were coming by, they should be..."

Yvetal chuckled sheepishly and said "Ok fair enough...wait a minute, do you hear that?"

Xerneas paused and listened as his ears twitched at the sound of a familiar voice, he looked up at his brother and they grinned before making the small detour towards the voice they had heard...

In the Clearing...

Rena giggled as she had managed to win over the small but very fluffy sheep pokemon known as Wooloo while the second Galar Pokemon watched from a nearby tree, the small Wooloo happily nuzzled Rena's leg then began to just bounce playfully around the clearing. Rena just smiled and said "Well, nothing seems to keep you down for long once you make a friend... hm, that gives me an idea for a nickname for you."

The Wooloo turned to look at her and tilted her head with a curious look, Rena smiled and then asked "What do you think being named Happy for a nickname?"

The Wooloo ran over and nuzzled Rena as she said "I really like that name, Mistress!"

Rena's eyes went wide and then knelt down as she said "Happy it is then but you or your friend from Galar can call me Rena, not Mistress or master. You're friends and friends don't call each other master or Mistress."

Happy looked up at her new trainer in surprise before happily bouncing into Rena's arms and cuddling, Rena laughed as she tumbled backwards onto her butt and hugged Happy while the large Flying/Steel type watched from his perch. He had been an elder team member of their former trainer and yet this small girl was already turning his views on humans and trainers in general on their head, he continued to watch warily when there was the sudden snapping of a branch and a large shadow had covered the out of the way clearing. He tensed for an attack only to see the girl's other pokemon look up and ignore the two...wait, were those two MORE Legendaries?! The Corviknight watched in shock as the Legendaries of Life and Death settled into the clearing then whipped his head to watch the human girl as she ran towards them with the cry of "Daddy! Uncle Yvetal!"

Rena happily cuddled her father and Uncles' heads as she asked "what are you two doing here? I thought you guys would be patrolling Kalos right now..."

Xerneas chuckled and said "I recently got word that Zygarde had gotten back from a trip they had taken and I sent word that me and Yvetal were going to be coming by to see them so I could tell them about you."

Rena blinked and then asked "I have another Aunt or Uncle?"

Yvetal laughed and then said "Zygarde is Gender neutral, kiddo. They'll tell you what they'll prefer to be called when you meet them, me and your dad were actually on our way to their cave when we heard you and decided to pay a quick visit."

Rena just grinned and said "Well you two just made my day and I also have two new pokemon that I got from the Galar region as a request from Professor Magnolia."

Xerneas ears shot up as he and his brother looked at each other in shock and Yvetal asked "wait isn't that where the Wolf twins, Zacian and her brother Zamazenta live and patrol?"

Rena looked confused and asked "Are they the Local Legendaries for Galar and wouldn't that mean they're family?"

Xerneas chuckled and made to answer when a slightly raspy but polite accented voice spoke and said "If I may, my Lord.. could I answer your child's question?"

Rena and everyone spun in shock as the Corviknight fluttered to the ground in front of the small group, Rena then smiled at the same time as her father and her father gave his permission. The Corviknight then turned to Rena and said "Lady Zacian and Lord Zamazenta are two of the more well known Legendaries of the Galar region, they are both good, kind and willing lend a hand if necessary during a natural disaster to both humans and pokemon. They are also among some of the younger legendaries on the council if I remember correctly. What relation they would exactly have, I'm not sure though."

Rena blinked as her father watched in amusement and wasn't disappointed as Rena said "They sound like they would be really fun to meet and spend time with...I hope I am able to meet them and the other Legendaries as well someday soon."

Xerneas looked at his brother and they both had to hold back a laugh as Arceus and the other legendaries were planning a special surprise for Rena's Christmas gift, Xerneas then turned back to his daughter who had taken the Corviknight by surprise and was giving the raven pokemon a hug before she let go with a soft thank you. Xerneas and Yvetal chatted with Rena for another 10 minutes before excusing themselves and leaving for Zygarde's cave, the Corviknight watched the young human give one last hug to the two legendaries who then disappeared into the wilderness and the young human turned back to the clearing and began to clean up all garbage and other items. Rena then recalled all of her pokemon except the Corviknight and her Uncle, Rena then said to the large raven Pokemon "feel free to fly for a while and I would also love to hear more about the Galar region and it's pokemon from your point of view."

The Corviknight blinked then gave a small laugh as he said "Thank you, Rena and I would love to tell you more about the Galar region as we go."

Rena smiled then asked "Would you mind if I gave you a nickname or would you rather not have a nickname?"

The Corviknight thought about it then said "I'll accept a nickname from you, any ideas?"

Rena thought for a few moments and then asked "What about Ombra? It's a word that mean either Black or Shadow."

The Corviknight nodded and then said "Now if you excuse me... I'm taking advantage of this wonderful weather and going to fly for a bit."

Rena laughed and told him to have fun as the large bird pokemon flew into the bright blue sky, Aizen and Rena looked at each other and laughed as they made their way back down to the road towards Shalour City and her third badge, they soon disappeared down the road with a large black bird pokemon following from above...
