A/N: Last chapter….Thanks for reading!

"Yes, having a child is surely the most beautifully irrational act that two people in love can commit. " ~Bill Cosby, Fatherhood

4 years later

"I's not tired. I don't wanna go to bed."

"First off, I see you yawning. It's time for you and Henry to go to bed so Mommy and I can have some special time together."

"But I don't want you to leave!"

Senior Special Agent Marty Deeks sighs at the pair of big blue eyes looking back at him. Four year old Sam Gavin or Sammie, a nickname coined by his godfather Uncle Sam, is sitting cross legged in his rocket ship styled bed in the room he shares with his brother. It's bedtime for the twins, but not a normal bed time-thanks to work and two rambunctious twins, Kensi and Deeks are going out on their first date night in four years.

"We're coming right back. This isn't a case, Sammie," Deeks assures the young boy softly. The long blonde haired boy reluctantly scoots over his U.S Navy blanket from Uncle Sam. It's completely different from the yellow CIA blanket Callen had gotten Henry, no doubt as a competition for best uncle between Sam, the team's new lead agent, and Callen, the team's new CIA liaison and once in a while operations manager.

"Yes, it is."

"Buddy, " Deeks pauses and ponders his next move. Both Sam and Henry had inherited stubbornness from their mother. He's amazed at how the two 4 year olds have mastered the skill of arguments at such a young age. Deeks can't help but smile at the conversation from the twins' daycare teacher on how Henry and Sam had stood their ground on their experiment that got them nearly suspended the week before.

"Our parents are superheroes and our dad let us experiment on jumping off the bed so we can totally do it off the slide."

The other trait they inherited was their father's love for experimenting on things that ought not to be experimented on; for example, Hetty 's Segway still after four years.

"They's goin' on a date, Sam," Henry obnoxiously yells across the room, "That's where Momma and Daddy's kiss and hug at restaurants." The miniature version of Kensi lays his head back down and beams brightly at his mother, who's kneeling at the side of his bed. Kensi shoots Deeks a warning glare not to compare Henry's love for being right to his mother.

Sammie smiles brightly and says, "Ohhhh, why didn't ya say so?"

"Ok. So time for bedtime song?" Deeks suggests when he gets an eye on the clock. 7:45 and both senior agents are already exhausted from stopping a possible nuclear explosion and watching Callen attempt to deal with multiple agencies calling in demanding information. With Hetty on her yearly boat trip on the Mediterranean, Callen's new job position has been amusing for the entire team.

"I'm ready," Kensi yawns, "Let's do this before I fall asleep in the car." She kisses Henry on the forehead and whispers, "Momma loves you."

"I know."

"And Sammie, just like I told you earlier, Momma loves you."

"Thanks! Have fun hugging and kissing!"

Deeks kisses Sammie on the forehead and walks over to where his wife of 3 ½ year stands. He can see their wedding photo from their simple beach wedding sits on the hanging shelf between the two beds. It was a perfect day, a day that's been matched in perfection every day since.

"Alright, let's do our bedtime song," Kensi says. She clears her throat while ignoring Deeks' obvious smirk before singing, "Hush, little baby, don't say a word. Mamma's gonna buy you a mockingbird,"

"And if that mocking bird don't sing, Daddy's gonna buy you a Glock 13," Deeks adds in. Their very unusual bed time song was started by none other than Hetty on a night where the boys, 2 months at the time, wouldn't sleep.

"And if that Glock 13 misfires, Mommy's gonna buy you an M40 rifle."

"And if the rifle's range is less than 35 miles, Daddy's gonna get you an Apache helicopter," Deeks trails off when he sees Henry's eyes flutter close. Sam is already fast asleep with his little hand around his teddy bear's stomach.

"We have to think of a new lullaby," Kensi chuckles. She looks up to see Deeks' looking sadly down at his sleeping boys. Kensi pulls his arm and gently whispers, "Come on, let's go."

Once in the hallway, Deeks says, "They don't sleep to anything else after four years. At some point in time, I'm going to have to get them an Apache helicopter."

"Don't worry- we'll get them that instead of a car," Kensi laughs. She starts heading towards the stairwell where the boys' babysitter, Callen's girlfriend Sienna is sitting on the couch near the basinet where her and Callen's two month old, Clara is sleeping.

"How'd it go?" Sienna asks when both Kensi and Deeks get to the bottom of the stairs. "To get G out of the house with Sam tonight, I had to make all sorts of threats to get him to leave Clara for the first time."

"He's a new daddy," Deeks says with a smile. "Thank you for this, Sienna."

"Don't worry- go before you freak out!" She laughs. as Deeks and Kensi walk over to the door, Sienna stands up and the Sig in her waist band becomes visible. As an ex- behavioral analyst for the CIA, she's the crazy lone ranger that Callen needed in his life. She's also talented in knowing her boyfriend's friends are about to flake out on the date night they've been planning for four years.

"Are you sure you'll handle them?" Kensi asks anxiously, "Henry and Sam-"

"Are asleep."

"Well, Henry does have that allergy medication that he may need overnight," Deeks adds.

"Which I can administer," Sienna reminds him. "You guys don't have to go out tonight."

"We are two highly respected federal agents. I think we can handle one date night," Kensi says. She glances over to Deeks and sees the same mixture of anxiousness to leave and a desire to sleep all over his face. " Pizza and bed?"

"I thought you'd never ask," Deeks sighs before he jogs off to the kitchen to find the number for Kensi's favorite pizza place. Like every other night at home, Deeks and Kensi soon find themselves in their large kitchen happily eating pizza and debating over which kindergarten to send the boys to in the fall. At the end of the night when Sienna and Callen leave with baby Clara in tow, Kensi and Deeks are spending the night in their favorite place.

Curled up between their two little angels.
