Epilogue

15 years later.

Chase brought his head up from the sink. He had just finished washing his face. They had been hiding in one of Donald's old labs for the past year. No one bothering them, completely disconnected from the world.

He walked into their main living space. Chase had grown up. He wasn't a small, 15 year old boy anymore. He was a thirty year old man. Bree 31, and Adam 32. All of them had to grow up quickly after they left. Everyone once and a while, one of them would have a job.

That night they heard the door open. All three of them jumped up out of bed. They saw three fingers walk into the main room. One of the figures reached for a light switch and turned it on.

The light blinded them all. After everyone's eyes adjusted they realized they were staring at complete strangers.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" Adam asked sternly.

"What are you doing in my lab?!" The old man asked.

"Your lab?!," Chase stepped forward, "this lab belonged to my father who has been locked in prison for the last 15 years and for all I know he could be dead!"

"Chase?" the man asked, "Adam? Bree?"

"Yeah," Bree said, "and who are you?"

"My name is Donald Davenport. I'm here with my wife Tasha, and my step-son, Leo,"

Chase's face softened immediately. It had fifteen years, and he couldn't even recognize his own father. Donald pulled his son into an embrace.

"Dad," Chase said, "I missed you,"

"I missed you too, kiddo," he said, "you've grown up,"

"You have too," Chase replied.

"I am going to ignore that because I haven't seen you in 15 years,"

"Leo, is that really go?" Adam asked. Leo nodded, hugging his older brother," you've gotten taller,"

"Yeah Now I'm taller than you," Leo smiled. Adam laughed and punched him in the arm, "but I'm still stronger,"

"I'm still smarter,"

"Tasha I missed you," Bree hugged her.

"I missed you too, I can't believe we finally found you,"

"What happened?" Bree asked.

"When the FBI couldn't find proof of your existence, they were forced to let us go. Then we found Leo who was being horribly abused by someone his father sold him to. After that we went back to the house, and completely rebuilt it. Donald had been waiting for you to come back, or at least of a sigh of where you were, but he couldn't find one,"

"Then how'd you find us?"

"Well Donald suggested that you might have settled down in one of the old labs, so we started searching each one, and well, we found you,"

"Alright everyone. Ready to go home?" Donald asked. Adam and Bree nodded, but Chase shook his head.

"I think I'm gonna stay," he said.

"What?" Donald asked.

"Chase..." Leo began.

"I love you with all my heart...I just don't think I could come home, not after all that's happened to me,"

"Well you at least stay here?" Donald asked.

"Maybe, I have no idea where the world will take me. I'm going to try and start over,"

"Chase. Just know," Donald bent down in front of him, "that we're here for you. We'd never hurt you,"

"I know you wouldn't. It's not you, it's me. Now that I know Adam and Bree are safe, I want to forget my bionic life, and start new," Chase told him, tears forming in his eyes.

"Chase. Please come home," Donald was begging, he was crying as well.

"I can't! It's my internal struggle not yours! Now leave!" Chase yelled. Donald looked like he had just been shot. He slowly stood up and left the building, the others followed him in silence and closed the door behind them.

"Good job, Chase," a rough voice said, Chase stood up.

"I hate you so much," Chase said.

"I know, but I have control of your mind," the voice said.

"I still hate you, Douglas," Chase told him.

"I know, but I'm still your father," Douglas stepped out of the shadows and smiled.

All done. Thank you all for reading. Love you guys!
