"Darcy Lewis!"

She turned to see the onslaught of her friends running toward her.

"We saw you pull up with Laufeyson in your car! Give us details! What happened?"

"We had rampant hot sweaty sex by the elementary school playground." Darcy dead panned.

"You're such a slut," Melinda returned the biting sarcasm.

Darcy stuck her tongue out at her" Nothing happened. I was on my way to school and he was walking..so I pulled over and asked if he wanted a ride. End of story. You two need a life."

"What was he like? Does he smell good?" Jane asked, thinking of how good Thor's cologne smelled.

Darcy rolled her eyes. "He was quiet. And what kind of question is that? Does it matter how he smells?"

"Of course it does. This is all very important information." Jemma added.

Skye agreed with a hopeful sigh.

"I don't think your boyfriend's would be too happy to hear you discussing Loki like he's a piece of meat or something," Darcy said reminded them.

"Ahh Leo," Jemma joked "He doesn't even go to school here, remember? But whatever. I'm allowed to look as long as there's no touching involved, thank you very much."

"And Thor and I just hung out with each other, quit trying to change the subject. Spill it already" Jane added.

"You guys hopeless," Darcy said with a shake of her head as they entered the hallway.

"Come on, Darce! You've got to give us something!"

"There's nothing to tell!"

"Ugh. I swear to God, you are so frustrating," Jemma complained. "You had the bad boy of Marvel High in your vehicle this morning, and you didn't even try to take advantage of that? Have I taught you nothing?"

"You guys crack me up," Darcy told them "He wasn't so bad this morning. Maybe a little grumpy but otherwise a perfect gentleman."

The girls stared at her incredulously.

"Ok so not much of a gentleman." Darcy added "But he smells as good as he looks."

I remembered everything I hated about school and the conclusion was.. this place was shit..which is why I never came to class.

When the bell rang, signaling the end of my 2nd period hell, I shoved my chair back from my desk and stood, grabbing my bag. I yanked my wrinkled schedule from my back pocket, squinting my eyes at the tiny writing for my next class.

Art. Room 233. .

Great, I thought bitterly as I shoved the paper back into my pocket. I hadn't been to school since the fall semester so my stupid schedule changed. I guess because I didn't choose any classes, they chose them for me. I hated art with a passion. It was the biggest waste of time. But at least it would be an easy fucking "A", of that I was sure.

"Hi!" I glanced up at the overly friendly voice, and was met by cute red head with big brown eyes. "Loki, right? I'm Lorelei, Lorelei Roberts..do you remember me?"

"Uh, yeah." I replied. I knew her..she was a stuck up bitch that I usually avoided like the plague. But today, she was a warm perky smile…

"Oh great..I haven't seen you in soooo long, I was sure you didn't remember me but it's great you do," she babbled.

"Yeah" Loki Laufeyson, master wordsmith.

"Where are you headed now?" She asked.

"Um, art room 233 with Platt."

"Ugh," she grimaced. "Platt's a real ass. I feel sorry for you."

I sighed rolling my eyes. Fucking beautiful. Maybe that "A" wouldn't be so easy after all.

"But I'm heading down around the corner from there, so I'll walk with you. I mean, if that's okay," she said, biting her lower lip as she blinked up at me through her lashes. Well, well..maybe the stuck up bitch would be an easy distraction for me..and from the way she keeps batting her eyelashes, I think it was safe to say this one would definitely be easy. She made mind numbing conversation as we walked to her classroom. I successfully managed to avoid listening and talking by nodding every so often..an art I had perfected.

"Well this is me." She said standing at the doorway expectantly.

"Great. See ya." I said before walking away. Always gotta leave the ladies hanging..not that I had much experience but she didn't know that.

"Stay away from that one. She's trouble." I turned at the sound of the familiar voice.

"Really." I said not really caring.

"Yep, she's got a boyfriend..that I'm sure she failed to mention." Darcy added.

"No big deal. I don't want to marry her or anything." That seemed to throw her off and she was quiet.

"Art with Mr. Platt, huh?"

"Yeah."

"You're lucky. He's a really cool guy."

I offered her a casual shrug as she tried to keep pace beside me. "Yeah, I guess we'll see though. I heard he was a dick."

"How are you making out so far?"

"Well, the female population certainly seems friendly enough," I responded with a smirk as we neared my classroom. "I guess having a record makes them excited..I already got three offers to help me with… ah, any extra credit assignments."

"Oh, isn't that nice," she responded sarcastically, eliciting a snort from me. "I guess your bad boy persona is going to launch you into the high school popularity heights, which is just so bad. Not that you're a bad person, just that the example that kids want to follow today just shows how it's influenced by the depravity…"

"Darcy," I interrupted impatiently, "Did you want something? If so, get to the fucking point. You're rambling again."

"Right sorry never mind all that…," she responded, her cheeks turning red with embarrassment. "I'm sorry. What I was going to ask you before I went off on a tangent was well, l was wondering if you would you like to join me and my friends at our usual table for lunch after this class period?"

"Yeah ok." I said and after class I had every intention of doing just that.

But when I walked into the cafeteria, I saw Darcy sitting with Thor and Tony, along with Hawkeye and a couple of other chicks…well I just wasn't in the mood to deal with Thor right now. He'd lay the "guilt" trip on me about responsibility and about having to clean up my own messes. It was so not worth it. Before I could turn to walk out, a shrill voice called my name, causing me to turn my head. From across the room, Lorelei was waving frantically, motioning for me to join her.

"Aww what the hell," I told myself, as I set off across the cafeteria to join her and her group of friends. Giving her my best charming smile, I sank down into the hard plastic chair beside her. She made sure brush her hand against my arm every chance she got. Maybe I could get used to this place after all.
