A/N: And look who's back, and after only one year! Sorry about that, by the way... I was really busy. Busy like I got a job. I'm not a C.I.T. at a camp, so all day I get to be surrounded by screaming little kids! It's actually a pretty fun job, but it's really tiring so I don't have that much free time... But now I do (at one am when I should be asleep) so here we go! What you have all been waiting for, the chapter I procrastinated so hard on I think I broke something, So Close by Jennette McCurdy! (It's short, I'm sorry, don't hurt me)
You just keep tuggin, pushin, pullin at my little heart strings,
Got me all tied up in knots, every time I see your face,
Cat stopped dead in her tracks. She had just woken up and stepped outside of her door before she heard a voice singing. At first she though maybe someone from school had come to visit her, before realizing that none of their voices sounded like this.
But she liked this. It was nice. The voice singing sounded like something from a country song, but not one of the overdone ones. A nice, soft one.
The closer Cat got to the kitchen the louder it got.
Oh, it brings out, it brings out the girl in me,
Don't know just how you did it, but you got me real good,
Cat's mouth fell open in shock upon see just who was singing. It was Sam Puckett herself, back to where Cat had entered. She was putting a bunch of random foods in a blender, Cat caught a burger and some fries being dumped in, while singing along to music only she could hear. It would have been oddly domestic is the juicer wasn't being filled with orange juice and toothpaste at that moment.
Don't know just how you did it, but you got me real good,
Hook line and sinker like I knew you could,
But you don't even notice girl I wish you would,
I can't help myself,
"She must be singing about someone," Cat thought to herself, or so she thought. Sam turned around in a hurry, hearing Cat's high pitched voice thinking out loud.
"Cat! What are you doing?" She exclaimed.
The girl in question turned a bright red and squeaked out, "I heard singing so I came to see who it was," which cause the blonde to turn a similar shade to Cat's hair.
"S-Shouldn't you be getting ready for school?" Sam asked.
Cat quickly nodded, embarrassment forgotten, and rushed to their room to get ready.
After a few minuets, the singing returned, albeit quieter than before.
I can't help but smile, every time I see your face,
If we never met, I bet you don't know my name,
Am I outta my mind, I think that I might be goin crazy,
Cuz my heart is yours to have and hold or break,
How do you get to be so close and so far away,
Cat exited her room, careful to open her door loudly, and stomp down the hall to warn Sam of her arrival.
"Bye, Sam!" she called as she opened the front door, throwing her bag over her shoulder.
"Hey Cat?" Sam yelled to her, "your bike."
"Oh, yeah," Cat remembered, running out into their yard to get her bike, and bringing it through the house to the door, "thanks, Sam!"
"And Cat," Sam started, in a very sweet voice, that honestly confused Cat, "if anyone finds out about me singing, or about me liking country, I know where you sleep."
Cat nodded her head quickly and scrambled out the door, the entire time trying to hide a smile, because Sam can sing and she likes country wow.
And Sam, she just went back to singing.
