Chapter 28: It doesn't Matter What I Have Decided.

Now that Sebastian knew what he had to do it made much more sense to him, like the pieces of a puzzle falling into place, like it had been preordained years before. Sebastian had long decided that he wanted to spend the rest of his time, no matter how many millennia that would be, with Ciel. He didn't care about the fact that he would have to teach Ciel how to be a demon, Ciel already had some demonic qualities anyway, he was cunning and deceptive and manipulative, but there was things that Ciel wouldn't know. It'll be like when he summoned me. It'll just be teaching him how to fit the part, the rest is all built through instincts. The demon thought to himself as he began to make the soup Ciel had asked for. It'll be easier too since he doesn't see me as a mere servant any more. A smile seemed to spread across the demon's lips as he chuckled lightly to himself, things really were changing around the manor and it didn't irk him. He was finding it rather fun.

As Sebastian was making the soup that Ciel had semi-ordered in his ill state realisation struck him. "It' doesn't matter what I have decided..." a few choice words left the demon's mouth after he said that. "I may be able to convince my father that Ciel is the right match for me, I might be able to convince him that it doesn't matter that Ciel is human but won't be for much longer. But the Council…" All of Sebastian's prior thinking had gone up in smoke, so to say. He had thought that since Ciel won't be human when I take him to hell, but now he was realising different.

"They'll be meticulous, they won't care that I have changed him into a demon, they'll rip apart his past, and him being a human would always be their one dig. They'll always use that reasoning to object the relationship." Sebastian let an irritable sigh out. "The fact that he's human, what happened to his parents, his lack of social skills, his low esteem levels since that month. They'll use all that and much more to tear him apart, they'll ridicule him, make a mockery of him, they'll treat him like the lowest ranking demons, no lower than that, just because of who he is and because he is a guy. I can't believe that i didn't think of this earlier. How could i have been so blind." he ranted a little as he stirred the simmering soup.

"Now a demon like yourself can't really be worrying about what a bunch of appointed asses like Hell's Council of Elders, could you?" A voice came from behind Sebastian, causing the demon to spin around, dropping the ladle onto the side.

"Seriously, don't you have any manners?" Sebastians irked tone didn't leave him as he stared at the newcomer in the room. "It is very unlike you to be here, I don't think I ever recall you stepping foot in the Phantomhive Manor since the young master took over the Earldom."

A laugh came from the other as he perched himself on the table in the room, crossing one leg over the other, resting a long black nail on his lips which carried a bemused smile. "No, you are quite right, I don't believe i have set foot here since the little lord took his father's role, but as you know from your own research over the years and the cases you have helped the Lord solve, I used to frequent here. I, after all, was close to the previous Earl."

Sebastian rolled his eyes, though it wasn't with malice, he actually chuckled lightly to himself again. "Anyway, what brings you to the manor. Undertaker?"

Author's Notes

Hey guys. Thanks for sticking with the story, and I am so sorry for not updating it sooner. It's been a tough time for me recently, personally. But hopefully I should be able to update this a little bit more frequently.

Anyways. Another chapter down, sorry it's seems shorter than the others. I just needed a chapter to bridge the last to the next, and it was rather helpful introducing another character. Anyways, i hope this keeps you wondering what's next XD
