Chapter 1: Luxray Vision

It was a normal summer day in Sinnoh. The local High School had been let out a week ago and all the kids were glad that the pressure of school was over. Little did they - and the rest of the town - know that, this summer, something would happen that would change the town forever.

On the day before the outbreak, 16 year old Chris was jogging in the park when he ran into his two best friends - James, a boy who just liked to have fun and Harry, a science whiz. (No, this doesn't make him a nerd.)

"Hey, guys!" said Chris.

The two looked a little upset at the moment - they even looked angrily at Chris.

"Uh, guys? What's wrong?" Chris asked.

"Chris, I thought we agreed that we would spend the summer hanging out together, so why did you sign up for both track and swimming practice over the summer?" asked Harry.

Chris put on a guilty smile, but for good reason - he was one of the best athletes in town and was an expert in jogging and swimming.

"Sorry, guys... I just don't want to lose my touch over the summer, y'know?" said Chris.

"Well, what are WE supposed to do until practices are over? I mean, your place IS the hangout spot and we can't visit when you're gone - there's just no point in that..." said Harry.

Harry's parents were divorced and Harry lived with his mom in a 3 room apartment (no, it wasn't run down. In fact, it was actually kinda nice) and James's parents didn't like visitors so the three often hanged out in Chris's house when they needed some inside time.

"I don't know...hey, wait! I do know! Why don't you guys take practice with me? That way, we can hangout at practice time." said Chris.

"Sounds good to me, I guess." said James.

"Eh... why not?" said Harry.

The next morning...

Chris was getting ready for practice when his 14 year old sister, Bailey, came up to his room.

"CHRIS!" she yelled.

"What, Bailey? I'm trying to get ready for practice!" asked Chris.

"Did you take my lucky t-shirt?" asked Bailey.

"No. Why would I do that?" said Chris.

"How do I know you're not lying?" asked Bailey.

"Wait, WHAT?!" asked Chris.

"You kept saying you always wanted that shirt!" said Bailey.

"Well, yeah, but-"

Chris was interrupted by "Bailey, I found your shirt! I put it in the wash by accident!" from their mother.

"Okay, mom!" yelled Bailey to their mother, then, turning to Chris, said, "Sorry about that.."

"Whatever."said Chris, who then walked into his room.

Chris took a drink of water and then muttered "Hmph... me lying. Stupid sister... if I'm a liar, I'd be a Luxray..."

All of a sudden, Chris felt an itch on his shoulder. When put his hand on it to scratch it, he discovered that it was black hair... and it was growing. FAST.

"Uh... I thought I already hit puberty." said Chris.

However, he would soon learn it was something MUCH worse than puberty.

When fur grew on his arms, that's when he took notice of the serious problem at hand.

"WHAT THE F***!?" Chris screamed as fur started covering him all over - on his arms, legs, head and face - all while his hands formed into paws.

Chris looked in the mirror and looked at his face gaining more feline features - his teeth sharpened, his now fur covered ears grew bigger and shifted places to the top of his head.

His clothes started to rip and, just like that, a tail with a star on it popped out of the back of his pants, splitting through even his belt.

For a moment, Chris hoped he would go anthro. Sadly, that wasn't the case as his body structure (very painfully) formed into a four legged body. Chris, groaning in pain, fell on all fours, unable to continue standing on his hind legs.

His face formed into a Luxray's muzzle as the finale and, after it was over, Chris did the only thing he could do in a situation like this.

Scream.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" screamed Chris in shock. (Heh. Shock.)

"Chris, what is going on in..." started his mom, who walked into the room. To her surprise, she found a Luxray and not her son.

"Hi, mom..."said Chris quietly.

With a huge scream and a whimpering moan, Chris's mom fainted, falling to the floor and landing with a huge THUD.

A few minutes later...

Chris's mom had already woken up and she, along with Bailey, were talking with Chris on the living room couch.

"How the heck did this happen?" asked Bailey.

"I don't... really know, honestly. All I said was if I was a liar, then I'd be a Luxray and then... well, then this..." said Chris.

"Oh, my poor baby is a Pokemon..." said Chris's mom.

"Great. NOW what am I supposed to do? I can't go out looking like this!" said Chris.

"Why don't you stay home until we get this sorted out, sweetie?" said his mom.

"Looks like I don't have much of a choice, I guess..." answered Chris.

Just then, there was a knock at the door. Bailey answered the door and standing there was James and Harry.

"Hey, Bailey. We came to pick up Chris for practice." said James.

"Uh... I'm not decent!" said Chris. "WHAT? Oh, COME ON! You were just fine yesterday!" said Harry.

"Overnight stuff. Sorry!" said Chris.

"Chris, you're the guy who made us sign up for these classes in the first place and it's only fair that you come." said James.

"Sorry, guys. I don't mean to bail out on you like this, but what came up is kinda important..." said Chris.

James and Harry, unable to argue, shrugged and left. Before they left, though, Harry thought he had seen a Luxray tail...
