"Have you ever not known something but known it at the same time?"

– Cecelia Ahern, How to Fall in Love.

Dez opened Austin's bedroom door to find him sprawled on his bed, half naked, at eleven o' clock in the morning.

"My frogs wake up earlier than you." Dez joked, which received a bitter scoff from Austin.

"What are you doing here Dez? Don't you have school?"

Dez sighed and sat on the corner of the bed. "I'm worried about you man. In a good way, I guess. Why don't you just rationally thing about your feelings. It'll be much easier." He said and watched Austin slowly got up with his firetruck boxers to go to the bathroom.

"What the hell are you on about?"

Watching Austin brush his teeth, Dez leaned his body on the door frame of the bathroom and sighed. Austin was an easy best friend; he kept things to himself and would only express what he felt was necessary. But that was also the hard part. He wasn't an easy bloke to understand.

"Ally."

This name caused Austin to stop his brushing movements for a second before acting nonchalant again. "Yeah, what about her?"

The truth was, Austin knew that Dez knew. He was incredibly observant, much to Austin's dismay. But he couldn't admit anything to Dez, even if he wanted to, he couldn't because he didn't understand. Ignoring whatever this was, was the best choice available.

"Cut the crap Austin. If you have another best friend that you tell this to, that's great. But at least cut the crap for yourself." He growled and that made Austin look at his best friend with guilt. "I know Trevor is a dick. But surely that's not the only reason why you punched him."

Austin walked past him and sat on his bed again. "I know girls like the back of my hands. I know how to please them and I know what they want," he said as he ran his fingers through his bed hair, "but Ally is something else. I don't have the knowledge for her."

Sitting down next to Austin, Dez sighed and smiled. "Love is hard. No one has the instructions for it." He rubbed Austin's back, "except this one book from the store. Complete garbage though. Wouldn't recommend." He joked, which received a slight smile from his best friend.

"I have nothing to offer her."

"Awesome body…great voice.."

Austin slapped Dez on his head. "I know those. I mean, I'm nothing. I have no future for myself. Broken child yadda yadda yadda.."

Dez rolled his eyes and started to leave the room, but not before saying, "oh, stop feeling sorry for yourself."

Knocking on her front door made him rethink his decision all over again. He never went passed her front yard so he was a little nervous. Austin was about to abort his mission when the door opened to reveal a slightly older-looking Ally. Same brown hair, same hazel eyes. She was just like Ally, drawn with wrinkles.

"Hello. Can I help you?" The woman politely asked.

"I-Um, I'm Austin and.." He looked inside the small home and saw Ally making her way towards the door as soon as she heard the familiar voice.

The woman – whom Austin was sure was Ally's mum – gestured him to come in. "Oh, hello Austin. Lovely to finally meet you." She smiled and walked herself back to the kitchen so Ally could greet him.

"I didn't think you would come." Ally smiled and motioned him to sit down in their beautifully decorated living room. There were photos of Ally all over the room, baby photos and up to her current years. It was like a timeline of her on display.

"I couldn't miss out on breakfast." He said sheepishly, and Ally giggled. Austin tried not to focus on what she was wearing that night; high-waisted jeans that ended just mid-thigh and a baggy sweater that exposed some of shoulders. He'd never seen her like that. She was always quite modest at school and-

"Unfortunately, you missed dinner. We just finished." Ally interrupted his thoughts while trying not to laugh.

Even if she couldn't see how embarrassed he must have looked, he was almost certain she could feel it. "Oh."

Ally and her parents shared a laughter. "She told us you were delightful, Austin," her father began, "she is not wrong in the slightest."

Austin rubbed his hands on his face, trying to delete himself and his embarrassment while murmuring something like "Oh, God. Idiot idiot idiot idiot," when he smelt warm pancakes and butter. Opening his eyes, he found a plate with beautifully crafted pancakes with half melted butter on top, on display on the coffee table in front of him.

"I saved some in case you decided to show up." Ally confessed and thanked her mum for bringing the plate to Austin. "Let's eat them in my room."

Ally's room was nothing like Austin had imagined. He wasn't sure what he had actually imagined, he never thought he'd ever see her room. Whenever he messed around with a girl, it was never in the comfort of her room nor his, he couldn't deal with a personal environment and…feelings.

But Ally's room felt inviting; it felt like a warm hug from her.

She sat on the edge of her bed and patted the space next to her for Austin, like she always did and he obliged.

"What made you change your mind?" She asked as he devoured the pancakes in swift motions.

Austin groaned in delight. "This. This pancake changed my mind."

Ally chuckled and both of them tried to ignore the fact that their thighs were touching and radiating heat to one another. He was wearing his signature jeans again, but that didn't mean he couldn't feel the heat coming from her.

"Ally," he began when he swallowed the rest of the pancakes, "this is the best pancakes I've ever had and believe me, I've tried plenty."

This made Ally giggle again and Austin couldn't stop himself from noticing how pretty she looked with her hair put in a bun and how pink and plumped her lips were. Trying to distract himself from her, he scanned her room and found huge stacks of books.

"You sure love to read, huh." Austin smiled.

"I love books. They offer you so much knowledge. I can't see so the descriptions in books help me to imagine what the world is like. Even if I can't see, at least I can pretend to in my head."

He was wondering how someone who has never seen a thing in her life, could imagine what anything could look like. It wasn't like she had any reference. He was so busy drowning in his own thoughts before she continued. "Books can't help me imagine how you'd look like."

Austin's breath stopped for a moment and he grabbed one of her books to try to divert his attention away from Ally. She should really stop saying stuff like that, he thought.

"Teach me how to read braille books." He said as he opened the book to a random page and rested the book in between their thighs.

Ally smiled and guided his hand with her own on the bumps on the page and started rambling away about how it works or something like that, but all Austin could think about was how soft her hand was.

Moving his hand away from her grip, his hand was now on top of hers on the page. He began to play with her fingers before placing his hand on her cheek.

For the second time, he felt her breath hitch and he leaned in closer, this time determined to finish what he started.

"Austin…"

And with that, he captured her lips with his own. They were soft and tasted like strawberries. He could tell she was nervous for a second by her stiffness, but she eventually melted into the kiss and his head was in cloud nine.

Ally moved her hand to his jaw and tried to use her senses to feel what Austin was like. His jaw was sharp, with roughness from his slight stubble. Moving her hand downwards to his neck, she rested it behind his neck with her thumb caressing his jaw. His kisses felt gentle and knowing at the same time, and she could feel her senses going number as the kisses grow stronger.

Taking the fact that she hadn't pulled away as a good sign, he moved his lips to her exposed neck and tried to find her pulse point with his kisses. His bites and long kisses on her neck received quiet moans and mewls from Ally and he was sure he could die happy right there.

"Austin…oh…" She moans, trying to form sentences but Austin was clouding her mind with pleasure she had never felt before.

Ally rested her hands on his chest and felt how hard and strong it felt. She almost wanted to giggle knowing all those times she overheard the girls talk about Austin Moon, that they were right. Before she could giggle however, he had moved his kisses to the back of her ear and caused her to maintain her ecstasy state.

To Austin, she smelt like heaven. The way her skin tasted, and how her hair smelt, he was pretty sure that was how heaven smelt like. Her soft moans, however, he knew that was what heaven was all about.

"Ally! It's getting late sweetheart!" They heard Ally's mum shouted from the living room downstairs.

Reluctantly pulling away from Ally, he sighed and smiled stupidly to himself. Did that really happen?

Looking at her, her lips looked freshly and her neck definitely looked crazily over-kissed and he wished tonight didn't end.

"Unfortunately, this has to be put on hold." Ally giggled and smoothened out her clothes as she stood up.

Austin's eyes grew wide with excitement. "On…On hold?"

Her face must have turned many shades of red, and she was glad she couldn't see herself looking foolish. "Well, I just- I thought, you know, maybe…"

Since she couldn't see him, he took the chance to fist pump the air before trying to sound cool.

"More than happy to oblige, Ms. Dawson."

there you have it! I was thinking of maybe changing the rating of this story to Mature (M) content but i don't know yet. what do you guys think? I'm not planning on starting to make this story vulgar or anything like that, but I think it'd be nice to show how the feel about each other on a deeper level. Let me know what you think!
