I DO NOT OWN SUPERNATURAL!
It was nearly impossible to keep up with Gabriel and Sam on the horse but Castiel ran as fast as he could with them. Anna was running slightly slower so he could try to keep up but he was getting tired easily since he had never gotten exercise outside of walking around the tower. His adrenalin was quickly running out. They weren't far from the castle since him and Dean ended up going in one weird circle but it still wasn't very close and he knew he had to hurry. Gabriel suddenly stopped Anna and jumped off the horse. "Get on, We aren't far and I can run the rest of the way. Hold on to Sam and he will steer you there." Gabriel helped Cas up on Anna.
"We will stay near you so you can keep up," Sam called out.
"Stay behind, I want to be able to go first." Sam nodded at that and slowed down.
Gabriel ran faster than Sam had ever seen him run and went straight for the path towards the castle doors, hoping and praying he would make it in time for the sake of his brothers heart.
Once Benny got to the palace doors, the guards gave him a dirty look and blocked his path. "Please, I need to see the king and queen," he begged.
"Wait a minute," one of the guards said. "You're that night thief guy!"
"Uh look I mean no harm," he said backing away slightly with his hands up in front of his face.
"Get him!" the guard shouted as he jumped on him before Benny could run. He cuffed him and dragged him towards the door. "Looks like there will be two executions today."
"Wait trickster!" he called out but the guards ignored him.
"Shut your trap," he said as he punched Benny in the face, dragging him through the castle.
"What is that ruckus!" The king called from down the hall as he approached Benny and the guard.
"The night thief came right up to us and basically surrendered himself," the guard replied.
"No please I beg you I have news from your son Gabr-" he said but was cut off with a blow to the stomach.
"That's enough from you," said the guard as he began dragging him off again.
"T-tr-trickster!" Benny gasped out as loud as he could.
"Wait stop!" the king called to the guard. "What did you just say?"
"Trickster. Ga-Gabriel told me to say that as some code word."
"Gabriel is okay?" he asked. "Where is he now?!"
"He went out to help Sam look for his brotha' Dean. He-he found your lost son, Castiel."
"Castiel is alive?" King Chuck said in shock. "B-but how?"
"No time now. Dean saved him, the man you are about to execute! You need to stop it!"
"The execution has begun, I'm not sure if I can..."
"Go or Castiel will never be able to forgive you. Gabriel is on the way." King Chuck gave a nod.
"Uriel, unlock his binds and be ready to let Gabriel in with some guests. Allow Gabriel to go where he needs."
"Right," Uriel said as he unlocked the handcuffs with a sigh and brought him back to the front door.
Gabriel booked it as fast as he could ahead of Castiel and Sam. He saw the castle gates within sight as he kept pushing past people to get there faster. In the distance, he saw Benny standing there with a guard. "Come on Sam! I see Benny!"
"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" Sam called.
"I assume good," he called back. He ran and got to the gate as fast as his legs could take him. He gasped out in deep puffs as Anna made a stop just before him.
"King Chuck is tryin' to stop them. But it might be too late. He went to the back courtyard where they do the executions," Benny said calmly.
"Wait what do you mean he might not make it? Where is he?" Cas asked, his voice filled with panic.
"The very back of the castle," Uriel said pointing towards the entrance.
"Dean," Sam and Cas gasped out at the same time before they got Anna to start running.
"We have to help him," Cas said in a desperate voice.
"I know where to go, come on Anna faster!" he called out as they raced through the castle. King Chuck was very weak and not able to run fast and far enough to get to Dean. They passed him as they galloped through the halls on Anna. He gasped as he look on the horse passing him. He saw Sam and the boy he assumed was his lost son.
The boys made it to the courtyard just as they passed the final words about the crimes Dean had committed. Dean was lying on a large wooden platform with his head just at the edge of it. There was a man standing above him, reading everything out. "Finally, Dean is charged with stealing the crown of the lost prince. For this, he will be sentenced to death by decapitation," the man said as he brought the sword up above Dean's neck.
"No, No Dean!" Cas called out as he jumped off Anna and on top of Dean. He hid into Dean as the sword went down.
"Stop!" King Chuck called just as the man swung down. He was thrown off by the yell and hit the platform, just missing Dean and Cas. Gabriel and Benny were right behind, staring in shock at what Cas had done. Sam, Gabriel and Benny ran over to make sure both Dean and Castiel were aright.
"C-Cas?" Dean asked in confusion. Castiel gave him a big smile as tears began to stream down his cheeks.
"You're okay Dean," he said bringing him in for a big hug. "I thought I lost you."
"Looks like you might be stuck with me a little longer," he said with a laugh, Cas holding on tightly.
"Dean, are you okay?" Sam asked quietly behind Cas. Sam came over with a small blade he kept on him and cut the rope that bound his wrists.
"Sammy!" he said with a huge smile bringing him into a hug with Castiel.
"I'm so glad you're okay Dean," he said crying into his big brothers arms. "I don't know what I would have done without you."
"Come on Sammy, I'm a Winchester. You know we Winchesters don't go down that easily," he said with a little laugh. They stayed in a little group hug until a shadow hid the sun above them. Dean looked up and gasped as he saw the king.
"King Chuck..." Dean said quietly before bowing before him with Sam next to him. Dean was terrified. Castiel looked confused before following the brothers actions.
"Dean Milto- I mean Winchester. For years you have come through the castle grounds, stealing food, items and finally my missing sons crown," he barked out. One of the guards came forward and gave King Chuck the crown that Dean had taken before.
"I-I'm sorry," Dean whispered out, shaking. Sam gave him a worried side glance.
"And you Sam Winchester," he said causing Sam to stiffen. "You knew all this time where Dean was, but you never said a word."
"He's the only part of my family I have left," he whispered out as a tear streamed down his cheek.
"Both of you," he growled out. "Have saved both of my sons, for that I am thankful," he ended quietly.
Both boys looked up in confusion and shock before being pulled in for a hug by the King. "Thank you," he whispered to them.
"Chuck! What happened!" Queen Becky came running towards them and looked at all the boys in shock before seeing Gabriel. "My baby! He's okay," she said happily before going and giving Gabriel a big hug. "Who is this?" she asked pointing towards Castiel.
"Becky, I have some explaining to do." King Chuck said with a small smile.
"I King Chuck, call forward Dean Milton." Dean walked up to the balcony where King Chuck was standing and stood there awkwardly as he was addressed. "Dean Milton has been charged with theft, sneaking onto palace grounds and giving a false identity. But Dean Milton is Dead. Dean Winchester is someone new. Dean Winchester is the one who brought me back my lost son, Castiel Novak!" he called out and the entire castle grounds erupted in a chorus of cheers. The king put the crown upon Castiel's head and the young prince took a shy bow.
"Can I say something?" Dean asked King Chuck quietly looking nervous. The King nodded and let him step forward.
"Uh well hello everyone," Dean started out awkwardly. He then looked towards Castiel and smiled. "I was lost. Lost after my mother died and lost after leaving my brother in the palace. I didn't know who I was and what I was supposed to be doing in my life. I was a thief and did no good for the town. Then one day, I happen to come across a tower. A tower where a young man lived. The tower where I found Castiel. Even though he had never been outside of the tower, he knew more about what he wanted out of life than I did. He simply wanted to see the loud lights, the fireworks.
"I took him on quite a wild adventure before learning the truth behind who he was, but had already taken my heart by then. We met Benny who helped us through the forest from hell," he said glancing down at Benny. "We met some of my old friends," he said winking towards Ellen, Ash and Jo who smiled brightly. "And we finally made it down and saw the fireworks. I was able to make Castiel's one dream come true.
"It was then that I learned the truth about Castiel's father. He beat me down and tried to make it look like I didn't care about Cas. He knew how much I really did care about him but didn't want to have to deal with Cas leaving him, didn't want me to take his magical child away from him. He manipulated him and got him thinking I didn't care. That was before Cas realized who he really was. And my baby brother and Prince Gabriel saved him along side Benny. I could never be more thankful." He gave Castiel a small smile before he pulled something out of his back pocket.
"Without everyone, I would never be standing here, with Castiel and getting the chance to ask this." he knelt down on one knee and pulled out a ring. A silver band with blue stones to match Castiel's bright blue eyes. "Castiel Novak, Will you do me the honor of marrying me? You have shown me the path of life, and I love you for it."
"Yes Dean, oh my yes!" he screamed out before bringing him into a deep hug. Dean held Castiel's face and brought him into a sweet kiss. The king and queen were delighted of this. They had grown to accept Dean and Sam into their families. Each of their sons were now marrying a Winchester.
"Look at that Dean, you maned up and ask Cas to marry you," Gabriel said with a laugh, bringing Dean in for a hug. "Welcome to the family."
"Nothing will ever beat you coming up to me in fear asking if you could marry Sammy," he said with a laugh, hugging him back.
"Well I couldn't have big brother Winchester kicking my ass over that now could I?"
"So long as you make Sammy happy and treat him right, I think I can handle it," he said with a smile.
As their wedding ended, Benny came up and held both Cas and Dean into a bone gripping hug. "I told ya I would see you boys gettin' married," he said with a deep laugh.
"Well, we wouldn't be here without you Benny," Dean said with a laugh.
"And I wouldn't have met Jo if it wasn't for you," he said with a wink.
"You better be good to her," Dean said waving a finger in warning.
"Trust me, I would never hurt 'er," he said with a small smile.
"Dean! What an amazing weeding party you have going here!" Ellen said coming up to him with a hug.
"Glad you enjoyed it," Dean said with a laugh and hugging her.
"So where are you going on the honey moon?" Jo asked with a wink, coming up after her mother, wrapping an arm around Benny.
"We haven't decided yet," Dean said with a laugh. "Where do you think we should go?" he asked Castiel.
"My mother mentioned a little cabin down a days ride away by the lake. We can go there," he said with a big grin, holding on to Dean tightly.
"I think that sounds amazing," Dean said placing a soft kiss onto Castiel's lips, holding him close.
"And they lived happily ever after," Dean finished his little tale to young Mary Winchester.
"I love that story daddy!" she said happily as she bounced slightly in her bed.
"You like that one," Castiel said as he came up.
"Of course papa, daddy and you are perfect!" she said with a giggle.
"I know we are," Dean said happily and kissed Castiel lightly on the lips.
"You two are funny," she said.
"Well Mary, you know what time it is," Dean said as he gently tucked their daughter into bed.
"I know," she groaned out.
"But you know, tomorrow is papa's birthday," Castiel said happily.
"Does that mean we get to see the fireworks?" she asked excitedly.
"Yes it does," Dean said with a laugh. "So the sooner you go to sleep, the sooner tomorrow will come."
"Good night daddy. Good night papa," she said to them.
"Good night," they said in unison.
Castiel and Dean walked down the hall into their own bedroom and got into bed together. "Are you excited to see the loud lights?" Dean said teasingly. Cas giggled and snuggled closer into Dean.
"As long as you are there by my side, you know it will be the best. I love you Dean Winchester."
"And I love you, Castiel Winchester," Dean replied back, kissing Castiel sweetly.
